The breakfast was really good, chef cooked eggs and noodle soup, great choices and can eat with a nice view of the beach. Location is right on an incredible white sand beach, easy access to town.

I liked most aspects of this resory but the music here is played all day and too loud, they had a live sax player at 9am one morning, live music at night but played way too loud so we didnt eat dinner here despite location, my son and daughter are 20 and 25 and annoyed them, even in the day the bar plays loud music - this is a shame given the beautiful location - just needs to be turned down a bit

Our cabin/lodge ( booking.com had down as a tropical room) was perfect. clean, tidy, modern and compact. Great shower, hanging space and a few drawers, fridge, hairdryer and a lovely porch area, just big enough for me to do yoga on whilst looking to the sea. Menu was varied and was good food. There was a gala dinner for New Year’s Eve and a lot of effort had clearly gone into it and the good choice was great. Beach is gorgeous and it’s a lovely little bay. paddle board and kayak were available too - free of charge.

it’s clearly two resorts being merged into one which hasn’t fully completed in all areas, so some areas are more rustic than others. Breakfast was very busy.

the breakfasts - ample choices and constantly replenished the novels that were there to exchange the beach beds + chairs+ lazy bags - best we saw on the whole island the location - quiet, clean, use of lots of beach if you're with the hotel (not trying to squeeze in between restaurants and cafes) - much nicer than the 4 other beaches we visited on the island that were either too crowded/noisy, too dirty, or didn't have nice places to sit and lounge at the sea the room - great bed, just steps from the beach and sea, nice fridge the staff - friendly, helpful

the music - often louder than the sea and sometimes jarring for the atmosphere (techno beats on a quiet day... and into the evening even though there's no party happening) they were still constructing the bar, so drilling and other mechanical noise was happening daily (they could've let us know from this hour to this hour, it will be noisy or whatever) the yoga lady/class that came for two days - terrible music, she was loud and obnoxious, took over the beach and it wasn't yoga but more like aerobics, jarring and offensive room needed: side table on both sides of the bed and just a few more spaces to put clothes (hooks/drawers/closet, anything!) food was very good but notably more expensive than other places nearby

The hotel is quite far away from the pier. It is not easy to get there, and the taxi drivers try to get more from passengers. 250 Butt one way for the car. It is possible to share. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Mint, for helping us with the train information. Beautiful and clean beach.

There are no wardrobe or shelves in the room. There is no space to put things. Be carefull-next to this hotel behind the white wall(near massage). we have been poisoned by food.....anyway, this cafe doesn't belong to Samed Tropical Hotel... just warning.

The bungalow room was very cosy and felt nice and private. We loved the outdoor patio in front of our room where I could do yoga every day. The beach was fairly quiet, very clean, and there was a good selection of a few restaurants (thai, pizza, international restaurant at the hotel). The breakfast was always well provided and staffed with a cook for special eggs. The walk from our bungalow to the beach was less than 2 mins !

We stayed for a while (over 10 nights) so noticed a few things missing for longer term travellers ! Maybe a few more towel hangers or knobs, and a little extra space in the room.

The hotel is located perfectly on a beautiful beach and if you were to rent a scooter for the day, it’s not far to drive to local amenities etc. Scooter and taxis do not cost a lot. The hotel upgraded us and gave us a really nice room.

The staff at the restaurant need some training. They are all polite but… service was ridiculously slow. The language barrier made it really hard to communicate and pass on feedback however there was one really good barman who made the experience better. Other than that, the hotel is good.

The stay here was just what we needed complete R&R the staff were all friendly and helpful, lovely touches in the room like umbrellas and beach bags will definitely return

There wasn’t anything really but if we had to say anything the restaurant was slightly too expensive, there are 3 others on this beach that are like normal Thailand prices.

- Location, right on a great little beach with a couple of bars and restaurants (as well as the hotel's own restaurant and bar) - bean bags on the beach and lots of shade from the trees - beach bag, beach towels and flip flops in the room - shower room that can be used after checking out to get rid of sand before leaving

Breakfast could have been better (pumpkin soup had gone off) but was still a fair selection to choose from

Available due to a cancellation, and we benefited from the two front rooms. Very convenient. Calm and intimate beach. Easy access to neighbouring beaches. Good pier.

Bathroom a little tired. Did not like the internal glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom. Very very very soft bed, so I slept on the day bed which was relatively firm. My friend slept on the soft bed, and slept very well, so just a difference in requirements.

It was my first visit to the island in well over 20 years I was shocked at how much development had occurred. The result was extremely quiet which was nice and the facilities were good especially compared to other places for the money. The staff were friendly and efficient except for one occasion where we ordered some drinks and they didn't arrive. Overall I would go back again which shows I was happy. The room was not big was comfortable and will appointed they had a fire show in the evening which was quite good. I am not sure if I could go for much longer than 2 or 3 days though it can be quite expensive getting around the island even on motorcycle where the charger 100 baht per hour.

The beach is quite small which could lead to a few problems if they'll have a lot of guests
