Cheyenne Guest Inn is not a "palace" but it is a clean and comfortable and hospitable place to stay overnight at a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet is basic, a good selection including yogurt and hard-boiled eggs (protein). The staff is very friendly and the room checked all the boxes...comfortable bed and pillows, good shower, refrigerator, TV, strong WiFi, quiet, ample towels. It's not a "destination" but it is a wonderful place to overnight. They do hospitality right.

No complaints.

The room was comfortable and clean. The ceiling fan was wonderful and made it feel much more like sleeping at home. The staff were helpful and professional. It was a pleasant overnight stay and we are likely to return on our future trips to Cheyenne.

I would have preferred to have a coffee maker in the room. Our room was close to the front area so we didn't have to go far for get coffee, but it would have been nice not to have to leave the room before my first morning cup of joe. The rear smoking area has a nice bench but the view of both sunrise and sunset are obscured by the abandoned gas station next door. It would be nice to have a picnic table or bench out front to watch the sunrise/sunset.

The room was clean and nice! The bed was comfortable and there was a USB charger on the alarm clock for my phone. The A/C worked well and the shower had plenty of hot water. The breakfast area across from the lobby was clean and inviting with a plenty of seating. There was big TV and seating area with a fish tank in the lobby that was clean and decorated nicely.

Our only complaint was that we missed the complimentary breakfast by five minutes and everything was already put away.

Fairly large room with comfortable beds. They had the sink and mirror outside of the bathroom which is helpful with everybody trying to get ready in the morning. Good location right off the highway and a short ride into downtown Cheyenne. Staff was friendly and parking was plentiful and free. The rooms felt like I was in the 80's (but in a good way!) The breakfast was limited, but it's definitely enough to start your day. The fish tank in the lobby was fun to look at.

I do wish there were some hot egg and meat options for the breakfast.

We were looking for an overnighter on our way out west. Price and location were attractive,. Desired restaurant was within 5 minute drive. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, as I had forgotten my toothbrush! Hot breakfast was what we like and it was very good!

We had no complaints.

First of all, I try to support local businesses. I made my decision to stay at the Cheyenne Guest Inn based on location, reviews, pet-friendly rooms, and because it is independently owned - not part of a name brand chain. Booking through booking.com was easy. I was able to message the property directly, and received a helpful reply. Zeus, the reservation staff, was professional, friendly, and made me feel welcome. When I asked for an extra towel & blanket, he used gloves to take the item from the shelf and handed them to me. Such great hygiene! That shows amazing consideration for the health of their customers. The room is simple, but very clean. The king room felt spacious. And quiet, too! I didn’t hear the interstate or trains at all. It’s not frilly, but given the very reasonable room rates, I wasn’t expecting anything but the basics. The Tres Amigos restaurant right next door was most convenient! And the food and portions were very affordable, generous, and amazingly delicious! The morning staff was also cheerful. The continental breakfast had the basics, but the coffee was great! I commend the owners for having such a great team and for providing a hotel that provides excellent value for the cost. I recommend this to others looking for a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. Thanks!

Nothing comes to mind

It was a clean facility at a reasonable price, and a good location. The Mexican restaurant next door was awesome.

The front desk clerk (a man...do not know name) actually laid on the sofa in the lobby with his feet on the arm rest. We were there for one night and saw him do this twice. He also stood on the outside of the front desk and laid his head down on his arms to rest. The gal that replaced him in the morning was very nice! They also have a rude sign in the public bathroom telling customers to use their own bathroom and hurry up if you use this one and to turn on the fan ...the front door also had a rude sign about having cats in the motel. Breakfast was mediocre.

comfy beds with soft linens and pillows, good average free breakfast with yogurt and hard boiled eggs as well as carbs, nice shower, friendly desk man and a good mexican restaurant a short walk away. We liked staying at this budget independent hotel which was excellent in its category.

only one chair in our bedroom with two queens, luckily my sister likes to read on the bed and furniture was a little tight getting by the beds in the otherwise spacious room.

Staff was pleasant and helpful with information about Cheyenne. Room was quiet being the hotel was close to I-25 and Hwy 80. Location was great with easy access to main roads and a short drive to the Plaza and the Depot Museum. Food was the standard complimentary breakfast items. The queen beds had mismatched mattresses. We chose the bed with the thicker mattress and it was comfortable.

The price gouging of the room for Frontier Days. We spent almost $900 for 3 nights. Walking in the room and having the bathroom sink in the entry way and outside of the bathroom unit, and having carpet in the sink area. Carpet became sticky when it got wet. This area should be tile or laminate.

The young woman at the front desk is incredibly warm and helpful. Though an older facility, it's in tip top shape. Everything works. Super clean. All the "extras" of more expensive motels are there: lobby business computer, real half and half creamer, new, secure wireless door keys, continental breakfast. Our room had new carpet, a new AC/heat unit, desk and chair. We're pretty budget conscious, and we can't think of any similarly priced motel as clean, safe, and comfortable.

I'm glad I had Apple Maps. It would have been a challenge to get there simply based on the address. Along with a number of motels, it's across the street from the Union Pacific main line. What helps is that the trains are going slow entering and leaving and there's no crossing nearby for the train horns to blow. We just put the HVAC unit on "fan" which covered the sounds.
