Great location right on the river - lots to watch so be sure to have a river view. Frequent water taxi across the river and timetabled larger water taxi to Christchurch Quay and Mudeford Sandbank (where the 500 or so beach huts are located!) Parking easy and free as a spot is reserved for you. Good English Breakfast and great choice of seasonal fruits - a real joy! Good cappuccino. Nice indoor and outside public areas. Single Double Apartment with River view lovely and spacious with good facilities, although note that the Single can get hot as there are no windows (but there is a large ‘porthole’ in the ceiling). Tower fans provided throughout and effective AC in the lounge.

Terrible sporadic wifi all over the hotel - would expect a lot better for a 4* hotel and the amount charged. Awful Minute Steak and Egg breakfast; looked and tasted like the steak has been boiled. Spa very small and really only consists of a giant, boiling hot jacuzzi.

The staff was very welcoming, professional, and looked after us from the day we arrived Our room was quite spacious with a lovely view on the river. So peaceful. The breakfast and dinner were perfect! Definitely recommend anyone to come and dine here, even if you are not staying in the hotel. We managed to use the Spa twice. Little swimming pool, with jacuzzi and sauna. Perfect to relax at the end of the day. Lovely facilities. All the hotel was cleaned and well maintained. We brought our bicycles to discover the area, great location of the hotel as you could go on the coast side or New Forest area. It was a lovely long weekend for us!

Maybe the fact that the Spa was not accessible at all times. (Due to a max capacity of 8 people).

Staff were great very professional helpful & courteous. Hotel & room clean , bar & all staff & service very good despite being busy . Due to upturn on weather they catered for breakfast outside ! Spa a little disappointing it is very small , pictures are misleading , the sauna fits only two people, & spa only 6/8 people capacity , we were fortunate as a group were leaving(& we were advised at reception to book ahead for pool etc) but others were not . It is very small but clean & well run .

Location was great. Breakfast good selection. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Large walk in shower was lovely. Room spacious and clean.

Bar service on one occasion was disappointing, the guy who took the order went off duty soon afterward and forgot our order….. after 15 mins we mentioned it to another waiter and another 15 minutes passed before a third waiter came to apologize and asked us what drinks we had ordered. This happened only on one occasion, and these things do happen but it really should not have taken three waiters and a 35 minute wait for two drinks. All other times the service was very good and waiters all friendly, so no real further issues.

Lovely breakfast, good range of hot and cold options, all delicious and very pleasant staff who made us feel welcome (the best scrambled eggs and eggs benedict we've ever had) and lovely cappuccino. Our accommodation was very spacious, spotlessly clean, excellent housekeeping service in our suite and the whole hotel (which smelled fragrant). Evening waiting and mixologist staff all customer focussed and friendly, fab cocktails (thank you Tommo and the other mixologist whose name unfortunately I don't know). The hotel is light and airy and I felt very comfortable and welcomed.

Room was very nice overlooking the river, Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Dinner was disappointing, I had belly pork, ok but not much of it , potatoes tasteless and dry, cabbage not cooked. Also not very hot

No bath mat in bath to stop slipping when showering, no instructions on how the air con worked, open windows had no affect when curtains pulled at night. Room had cobwebs around window, no big deal but makes one wonder what else might have been missed. Furniture a bit tired.

Property is in a good location, vista is lovely. Room is good overall. James in reception is really good. Other reception staff good too very helpful! Breakfast is good.

Waiting staff not managed well. Not proactive to serve and upsell drinks when empty glasses on table. Slow service- impression is that staff don’t want to take orders prefer you to go to the bar.

Our second time staying at the hotel, a big reason we returned is the warm, inviting atmosphere of all the staff, & the buzzy atmosphere throughout the hotel. The pool/sauna is relatively small but perfectly sufficient. We ate in the restaurant one night, & the food was superb, as was the service. Will definitely return.

Spacious room with really comfy bed and excellent view of the river. Lovely big bathroom with double shower. The breakfast was cooked fresh and there was plenty of choice of cooked and cold buffet options. We had a truly delicious dinner one evening. Each member of staff we encountered were very friendly, professional and really couldn’t do enough for us. A memorable stay on our special wedding anniversary

There was nothing to dislike!

We were upgraded as it was our honeymoon. We had to wait a little bit longer for check in even though we had requested an earlier check in but the upgraded room certainly made up for the delay. The staff were really attentive and we had a lovely time. Thank you for making our honeymoon very special. Breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately some of the choices on the menu the night before had run out but our food was very tasty. Overall an amazing stay and definitely a hotel that we would love to visit again.
