The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the river Stour. You get to see a bit of wildlife too, which is lovely to see. You also get to see the sunrise as well. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is a buffet and you can eat as much as you want to. The cooked breakfast is delicious and there are plenty of options. Plenty of options for tea as well. I also had an evening meal at the hotel and again, the food was delicious. Plenty of choice and the staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. There was also an option for you to skip housekeeping everyday, if you wished to. The WiFi was good and the hotel is in a great location to various places of interest in the area. Highly recommend the hotel.

The only thing I would comment on is that the extractor fan in the bathroom could do with a clean out. It looked pretty bunged up and the bottom of the bathroom door needed some attention. Other than that, it was a great stay!

The hotel staff were very welcoming. All hotel areas were spotlessly clean as was our room. We enjoyed an evening meal where service was very good. We booked the accessible room which was spacious enough for my wheelchair♿️ . Breakfast was self service with lots of choice & plentiful!

We booked the accessible room but the toilet was very low & didn't have a pull down handrail unlike the accessible bar/lounge toilets. Also I found the walk in shower stool unstable coupled with the shower floor found it to be too slippy and dangerous. The toilet often made a disturbing gurgling glooping sound a drainage issue maybe.

I love staying here when I visit Ferndown. The hotel staff are very organised and friendly. Sunday lunch is always good and the carvery is perfect to select what you want. The vegetables are cooked just right and the meat is always tender and tasty. I always experience good service in the restaurant and last Sunday was very busy, but Mick and the team were on the ball with everything. My room was at the front of the hotel, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and I enjoyed a nice relaxed evening in my room working on my laptop. I had ordered cheese and biscuits and a glass of wine to take to my room as the restaurant closed at 7pm Breakfast the next morning was well presented with a good choice of cooked breakfast, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and pastries, including coffee to help yourself. The restaurant overlooks the River Stour and I watched the swans and cygnets swimming up and down the river in the pouring rain. On days when the sun has been shining, the terrace is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the scenery. Parking is very good and is at the rear of the hotel, with a few spaces at the front entrance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the home made food a pure joy. So much choice with good sized portions, don't get that everywhere. It's real gem is its location next to the River Stour and the nature reserve beyond, both seen from the restaurant. The double glazing means the hotel is very quiet, and you wouldn't know it fronts a very busy main road.

Unfortunately, didn't find my bed so comfortable. Issue was the duvet was much too large for the bed, and folding it over created in effect a winter duvet and too warm in July. The alternative was to leave much of the duvet on the floor, not really a good idea. Seemed to be a king sized duvet for a standard double bed. Could have turned on the air con of course, but probably get cold during the night. Had I stayed longer than 3 nights I would have asked if it was possible to swap the duvet to a standard double, that would have resolved it. That would be my recommendation, have a duvet of a size to match the bed. Another bed side lamp would have been useful, but not essential.

Food outstanding. Location stunning. Staff went above and beyond. Super friendly and always smiling. Really went out of their way to accommodate ten of us for Sunday lunch when you were almost full to capacity. Thank you 😊

On one occasion the cleaners left our bedroom door open with a towel. I think they forgot to go back to finish off the bathroom and re stock but they left our room open. When we arrived, we were quite shocked. We waited an hour but they never returned. Had we not arrived, our room would have stayed open and our valuables etc could have been taken by anyone. I had my very expensive camera on the bedroom floor. Thank goodness nothing was taken but more care should be taken.

Morning to all staff at The Bridge House Hotel I just want to thank everyone of the staff/team for a wonderful stay again! We are/were celebrating lastnight, March 23rd, our 4th year anniversary. We have never stayed on Sunday, as we came on a Saturday. (We usually come on a Saturday and just stay over the weekend, as we are enthusiastic cyclists), but decided this time to have a long weekend. It was lovely to see some familiar faces, like Jess, Mike and Megan. There are some other new faces that I want to give a shout to, and those are Cody and another blond young lady, who recommended us having a desert for lunch lol, unfortunately I don't know her name. She was bubbly and lovely! Everyone in general just constantly gives everything and exceeds in their work! We LOVE this place. We were lucky with the weather. Our room is wonderful, 231! I joked to my bf that, that is OUR chosen room now. It's SO spacious and comfy!! As I say, we both LOVE coming here. The weather has been on our side. The chefs/cooks still deliver FANTASTIC and oh so tasty food. (Thank you for cooking our steaks, we've been looking forward to them all week lol!) 😂😉 We will DEF be coming back again soon! Many thanks!!

The location was spot on for us, even though we had a room close to the road there was no noise, the bed was a bit hard so we were offered another room with the river view, reception said all the beds were the same throughout the hotel, the river view room bed did seem better, not so hard, the food is reasonably priced and was served up fast.

We met with friends here the second night, we didn't know the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so was a little disappointed as we hadn't eaten all day, we should have checked first but found it a little unusual for food to stop at 845pm when we asked.

Reception staff were friendly and professional. We checked in quickly and efficiently and the room was very good. In fact, better than we expected. We had to leave early for a flight so didn’t have breakfast, but the evening meal was very good. We would definitely recommend it for anyone needing a hotel near Bournemouth airport.

The car park is not obvious from the road, better signage at both vehicle entrances would be useful. Also the hotel entrance is quite a walk from the car park and again, not well signposted.

Well laid-out room, equipped with everything I needed and not cluttered with things I didn't. It had the rare luxury of heating controls that were intuitive and actually did what I wanted! Plenty of options for breakfast ranging from fresh fruit salad to bacon and black pudding. My stay felt particularly good value for money but that may partly bacause I was very off-peak - a sunday in mid-December - and had chosen a "cosy" king overlooking the main road. The dining room and premium rooms overlook the river that was teeming with wildlife. Easy access by car to Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest, and a lovely big car park. Several country walks start within 200 yards of the hotel.

Bed was quite hard. Next time I stay (it's convenient for visiting my family) I'll fork out for a premium room and see if that bed's any softer.

Location, able to get a bus into Poole, bus stop literally just a few yards down the road. Also, it is a good base to explore Dorsets Jurassic Coast. Reception staff very helpful. Plenty of parking. Nice room overlooking the River.

Room fine, a couple of hooks for coats would help, especially waterproofs after rain . Partner had Lamb shank in restaurant & I had Sunday Roast. Food was nice. However, when we ordered I was advised when my Partners meal was nearly ready, they would let me know, so I could go to the carvery. This did not happen. My Partners meal was literally dumped in front of him, so I then had to go to the carvery and wait to be served, whilst my Partners food was there already. This was the only issue during the stay, the hotel and it's staff were fine.
