Great location, clean facilities. Great bar staff. Spa was great. Room spacious and comfy. Food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced.

Housekeeping left room open one day and on last morning Rudely banged on our door at 11:05 telling us we should have checked out when I had booked a late check out till 12. House keeper basically didn’t believe us and told me she was going to check- was this not communicated to the house keeping staff?? Ruined our last hour as ended up packing up and checking out before 12 after that as felt rushed to leave.

The stay itself was great. It was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

We paid £233 for our room for one night. On top of that, we had to pay £15 for parking and £15pp to use the spa. I would have expected the price we paid, we were, at least, entitled to use the spa facilities.

The room was well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was not noisy. I could turn the heating down in my room which was important to me. The option for £5 credit for forgoing room service is a great idea. I put it towards a glass of wine with my meal. The spa is excellent and I enjoyed a lovely massage a d morning of self-care in the spa which made for a very nice day.

Unfortunately the pattern of dishonesty in the world means that guests can't be trusted to pay their bill when they leave. I had to go back upstairs to get my bank card to 'pay-as-you-go' for my dinner. It would be good to have been informed of this when I arrived. Also note that the £5 'no room service' credit does not go directly on your account and the bar staff won't have heard of it. A voucher is issued by reception. Again, communication of this method would have been helpful. The accounting at reception is not linked to the bar. One last thing- the hotel sends a LOT of emails prior to the check-in date. It's a bit too many. Yes, I get it, you want to sell stuff. Half the number of emails would be fine.

The West Cliff is a very well run, comfortable and spotlessly clean hotel with attentive and welcoming staff, and very good facilities including spacious bar, gym and swimming pool (free for guests). Well equipped and spacious bedroom (but see below). Good buffet breakfast too.

Minor improvement: install antiseptic handwash in each bedroom. One tiny bar of soap is unhygienic especially for two guests and, to be blunt, looks mean in a high quality hotel of this kind. Bedroom was uncomfortably hot at night. Replacing the fan provided with air conditioning in all bedrooms may help, though this may be expensive.

Room was fine, breakfasts were excellent, Evening meal was generally good. Benefitted from the half price house wine hour! The spa was lovely. The staff were, without fail, friendly and helpful.

More toiletries in the bathroom, just two tiny bottles, not replaced. I would suggest a notice in the relaxation room in the spa advising that it is a quiet place. On one of our visits two women were nattering to each other constantly with no care for others in the room. We had to leave. One of my meals-chicken supreme- was cooked beautifully but the sauce was tasteless. Parking is way too expensive.

The hotel is clean and very well managed. I chose this hotel because of the spa and location (distance to the beach)and it did not disappoint. It was clean and staff were efficient and professional. It is quiet and although we only had dinner once (fish and chips) it was very nice. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. If you are a fussy eater and have not experienced Bournemouth - there is food local, you just need to find it! The room was very warm even with the heating off - but I’m not complaining as I am easily cold, others may not appreciate this.

The jacuzzi was out of order for one out of a five night stay, but sometimes these things cannot be helped. The gentleman working in the spa at the time, worked to try and fix it as soon as he could.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I have to say, it was a really pleasant experience. The room was surprisingly spacious and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. One of the highlights for me was definitely the swimming pool and spa. It was great to unwind and take a dip, and the spa offered some nice treatments that left me feeling refreshed. Oh, and let's talk about breakfast! It was lovely—a great way to start the day with a variety of tasty options. Overall, I left feeling happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway.

Nothing really....

Location of the hotel is brilliant, very close to town and the beach if you like a stroll, local pub in walking distance. There's plenty of parking in the street to save money by not paying at the hotel. Breakfast was included and had all the options needed to start the day.

Within the soa the ladies changing rooms and toilets were closed and we only found that when we entered the spa, the sauna wasn't available on the first day either. I had only booked the week before our visit but all treatments were fully booked which was a little disappointing.

This was our second stay at this hotel which is nicely situated in a quieter part of Bournemouth, but still within 10 minutes of the seafront. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Meanwhile, the swimming pool is a lovely facility that is open to all residents for free. The bar area is a nice place to spend time and the staff are to be commended on their friendliness.

The rooms were a little airless/stuffy, but we were staying at the end of an unusually warm period. The service at breakfast on Day 2 (Sunday) was disappointing, as there seemed to be no-one clearing tables and we were forced to clear a table ourselves, and source mugs, cutlery etc. However, this didn't reflect our experience on Day 1 or on our previous visit.

Breakfast: The breakfast selection was okay, sausage and bacon were really good. The small variety of pastries were good. Room: Really happy with the room, especially having a smart tv with Netflix, youtube and other relevant streaming apps! Gym: Really good facilities, good variety of equipment, very clean, i wish i had more time to make use of the pool and spa facilities.

Breakfast items could have been better quality - eggs were a very strange texture, i suspect they were carton / powdered. Hash browns were not crispy, they were soggy. Room: Being located at the top of a busy creaky staircase on the 1st was a bit of an annoyance, but just a gripe from me more than anything.
