Friendly, helpful staff, safe parking and a comfy, well-equipped room (with a coffeemaker, bottled water and a mini-fridge) in a great St. Charles Ave./Garden District location with easy access to the streetcar and restaurants.
The only thing I didn't like was that there was no parking available when I went to check in. So I had to park in a no-parking spot. But although it only took about five minutes to check in, I received a parking ticket before I was able to park in the gated area. I would love New Orleans a lot more and would give more money to businesses if the city wasn't so ticket-hungry and didn't charge so much for parking. It's ridiculous.

The breakfast was a good continental style with oatmeal, cereal, boiled eggs, juices, bagels n several types of bread. It had milk n yogurt also. Plenty fuel to start the day!!
The maid service was just a tiny bit inconsistent, but no major problems. One day forgot to put any toilet paper in room. Another day forgot the sugar, creamer packets for coffee bar. Seemed to count K cups without noticing we used none of the decaf n needed the breakfast tea n regular coffee cups replaced. The room wasn't vacuumed the week we stayed there, n the sink wasn't wiped out for several days. One day no shower gel was left. Whenever we asked for these missing items we received them. These were small details that would not keep me from returning. Bed always made. Towels always replaced if dirty placed on floor.

This has to be the best Hotel in the Garden Quarter. The hotel staff are so helpful, and go the extra mile to help you. The hotel is right on the Street Car line, just outside. The rooms are large and they clean every day. There is a Mexican Resturant attached, but there is a fantastic wine bar just two minuetes walk away that does does fantantastic food and great drinks. We had breakfast everyday on the front patio, watching the Streetcars, and people walking past, to which are so friendly. Your car is parked in a private car park behind the hotel, which is secure and safe.
The only fault I can say is that they need a bigger toaster, the one they had only did two slices, a four slice toaster would of been a little better, but other than than that it was a perfect stay.

The breakfast was very good for my husband since he doesn't have any allergies to dairy or gluten. Since I have both, there wasn't a lot that I could eat. They had a cup of mixed fruit, though, which most hotels don't even have, so at least I could eat that. My husband loved the bagels. We loved the beautiful lobby and the courtyard as well as the relaxing music that they always had going in the lobby,. I loved sitting there and listening to the music and reading.
It's actually hard to think of something we didn't like because we really enjoyed ourselves.

The rooms were a great size. Beds were very comfortable, lots of pillows. I liked that there was a 2nd sink outside the bathroom. Continental breakfast was good, lots of options. I couldn’t hear any outside noise or any other people in the hall, it was very quiet.
(Not the hotels fault) The hotel is connected to a very popular restaurant. People kept leaving their kids in the hotel lobby to play while they were in the restaurant. Made it difficult to sit & relax in the lobby. The power for the outlets by the beds was connected to a switch across the room by the door, no one told us & we didn’t find out for a whole day. The elevator was very small. 3 adults fit ok, anymore & it was alil uncomfortable.

The location was perfect! The streetcar stop was a block away. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the usual continental fare but it was plentiful. The Mexican restaurant next door is wonderful!
The Booking price was great and the description was accurate. Upon check in, expect to be charged $25 per room per night “incidental” fee. This will be refunded if it’s not needed during your stay but it came as a surprise. The elevator is somewhat small, can handle three adults with luggage. The front desk staff weren’t exactly unfriendly but not outgoing.

Absolutely everything ! What a great find. The inn is cozy and feels like home. Very nice corner suite with 2 large windows. Comfy King bed. 2 sinks, desk and chairs. And the restaurant down below is delish Mexican ! We ordered take out twice and brought back to our room. We had our dogs and they were very welcoming at this Inn. The parking is free ! And in a gated lot, right smack next to the Inn, with a clicker they give you to open and close from your car. Getting our giant about of luggage to our room was a breeze, even in rainy weather. The neighborhood feels very safe and it is BEAUTIFUL with the most stunning historical homes all within a short stroll. The trolley to French Quarter is right outside. It’s a quiet Inn and we slept like babies. The only quirk is it does have some older fixtures in the rooms, so the toilet was a little crooked (no biggie) and the shower kind of slanted too lol but it’s an old building. Everything was very clean. We added an extra night at the last second and it was taken care of for us so nicely, we got to keep the same room.
Can’t think of a thing.

This is a great quaint hotel nestled in the garden district and perfectly located. Just a quick trolley ride to many popular streets and sites with a trolley stop literally 2 minutes from the hotel. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable especially the pillows! The staff was friendly and courteous. They were also very helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the city. The parking is free but word of caution you MUST get there first because it is very limited due to space and the streets are very very rough (this is not the hotel's fault by any means just a heads up)
It is not really a dislike but would have preferred more protein options. The breakfast is carb heavy but then again that is the definition of continental right? LOL

Good location, friendly and very helpful staff (shout out to Aaron on night shift). There is an attached restaurant/bar - great to grab a bite at when I arrived late and exhausted. Solid breakfast spread (yogurt/cereal/bagels/toast). The room was clean and the AC worked great.
This is a minor irritant overall... but the smoke detector has an extremely bright flashing light that floods the room with a green light every 5 seconds. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there was a functioning smoke detector, but they gotta change that light feature or the location of it.

Beautiful old hotel, if you are going to a concert at Tipitina's which is the main reason I decided to stay at this hotel it was great to walk 20 to 24 minutes to after the concert at 11 pm. Area is SUPER SAFE and the views of all the beautiful houses on St. Charles street and Napoleon (the street going down to Tipitina's) is beautiful to look at all the amazing homes. Hotel staff, rooms, the free water in the lobby with oranges, the beds...everything was REALLY NICE. Coming from the airport I downloaded the LE PASS app on the Google Play store and bought a one day JAZZY PASS for $3 USD. Lets you use all the buses and trams and trains you want for a 24 hour period as soon as you activate it. Activate it just before you board a bus! At the airport go downstairs to the left (basically behind the big CUSTOMER SERVICE desk inside the airport) outside and catch the 202 bus (and get off at LOYOLA & HOWARD) and on the same side the bus leaves you on you take a right (Which is Howard) and go down 3 streets to the big circle rotary. Take the right which is Charles street...and you will see the 12 tram heading back in the direction in which you came from the airport. This tram goes down ST CHARLES street and you are looking for 3636 on the left side but it's a fun people/house watching journey to the hotel. Going back to the airport you take the tram to "Girod" and walk left 3 streets down to "Loyola and Girod") and across the street you will see the bus glass waiting area. NOTE: there's no 202 bus sign but the 202 bus does stop there heading to the airport. Great Hotel and very peaceful!
Quiet and beautiful area but if you are looking to eat out you will have to explore some other parts of town if you are looking for options. I didn't mind really. New Orleans is totally worth checking out.
