Location was excellent, we were catching the Scillonian ferry in the morning and only had to walk across the road to the port. Excellent if it's raining. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked very nicely, enough choice and food to sustain you for the day. We also ate an evening meal in the pub area, staff and food good. The room was a good size, free tea, coffee and water. Bathroom good. Storage good. Lovely window overlooking the sea. Nice touch were a pair of binoculars and a comfy chair to watch out at sea. I would highly recommend this accommodation if you are travelling to the Isles of Scilly.

All was good for us, however the stairs were steep so anybody with mobility issues could struggle.

We stayed here just prior to a trip to the Scilly Isles and it’s well placed if your getting the boat. It’s right on the harbour front and an easy walk into Penzance for shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and looked newly refurbished as was the bathroom. The food exceeded expectations and breakfast was really good. There is a little noise from the front of the Hotel but no more than you would expect. The owner and staff are very helpful and polite a really good pub stay.

The shower was blocked on both days limiting its use to no more than a couple of minutes, we did report on day one, but we got by no problem.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant throughout my stay, nothing was too much trouble for them. They accommodated my breakfast and meal times without issue. My bedroom had a lovely view and was full of all the requirements you will need. The location was perfect and is ideal for anyone who wishes to travel to the Scilly Isles on the ferry, which is across the road. Food was lovely. I ate there for both nights of my stay. I couldn’t fault any of it and I would definitely stay there again.

It couldn’t have been more conveniently located for taking the ferry to the Isles of Scilly. I was made very welcome and was helped - without my asking - lugging my heavy suitcase to and from the room. The room was spacious, beautifully simply decorated, and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, too. It was on the first floor and had a wonderful view of the sea and the quay. I wish I had been hungrier at breakfast time as the breakfast menu was excellent! I had a bowl of granola with berries and yoghurt, but will try to remember not to eat too much for dinner when I stay there again on my way back!

Warm welcome from staff who were all very helpful. Good choice of meals for dinner, and excellent breakfast included. Location opposite quay for departures/arrivals to/from Scilly is just ideal and greatly facilitates going to/from the Isles via the Scillonian ferry, well worth paying a slightly higher charge for an overnight stay. Our room was very spacious with everything provided that we could have asked for.

The history and friendly staff of the quirky setting. A lovely room with a fantastic view of St Michel’s Mount. Lots of little touches like a book case, tidy hangers in the wardrobe space and bathroom window flowers. Having old fashioned shops, the local swimming spot and a great restaurant The Barbican nearby were a bonus.

The noise of trucks in the morning and late night drinkers

There are only 3 rooms. Very quiet. The room was very clean and the bathroom was newly remodeled. Paris, the host was excellent. Greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. The breakfast was made to order and excellent. We also had our evening meal and it was very good. They stored our luggage safely during the day. It is 50m from the Jubilee Pool.

Great location. Welcome was wonderful, room large, warm, clean and comfortable with a great view across the harbour and Mount Bay to St Michaels Mount. A pair of binoculars was even provided to look out to sea. Very thoughtful. We ate in the pub, and service was great; a good value meal in a busy but not rammed restaurant, so it was relaxed and enjoyable. A big comfy bed and a nice warm shower. Fell asleep almost immediately. Breakfast next day, and another set of staff, equally as welcoming from the tenant to the cleaner, all lovely. Breakfast was good. Will certainly stay again and recommend. Faultless.

Would have loved to have stayed longer!

The pub is lovely and old fashioned and a good central location. Our room was cute and very clean. We had a nice sea view of St Michaels Mount and breakfast was very tasty. All the staff are lovely and friendly and we had some great recommendations of where to go and nice places to eat in the area. Had a great little stay!

Nothing bad

The location could not be bettered if staying overnight before or after catching the ferry to the Scilly Isles, right by the ferry and a short walk to the railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice, clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, vegans well catered for.

There’s no lift but the staff offered to carry bags up and down the stairs, so this wouldn’t really be a problem unless you have difficulty with climbing stairs.
