The room was spacious and with good furniture. Bed was quite large. The best thing about the hotel, though, is the restaurant, one of the best in town. Not only you will have a top notch breakfast, but also a convenient option for your evenings. We almost never do that, but we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant almost every single night. The only time we didn't, we ended up regretting it.

The room cleaning seemed a bit rushed up. There was no toilet paper and not enough bath towels. However, they were quick to provide more when we called reception.

We booked a tour of the 7 Lakes in Tajikistan through the hotel. They used a very experienced guide Islam. The drive in Tajikistan is very spectacular and the drivers booked for our tour were very skilful and we saw all 7 lakes. It was an exhilarating experience.

It was hot and we would have liked to have had a sheet on the bed for cover instead of a heavy doona. The reception staff Bexruz was very helpful in getting us light cotton sheets.

I like high quality boutique hotels in a local style. This is one of them. Eventually stayed here for more than 2 weeks. A top restaurant in the hotel complex, and my favorite - cozy inner garden. Beauty, calm, feels like home. Great service. Special thanks to Javohir and 𝑀𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑑 from reception who were always there to help 24/7 and very nice to talk to. 👍🏻👍🏻🤝

The hotel is connected to its own restaurant which provided lovely breakfasts for us. They also do some great food in the evenings. It’s a very pretty hotel with a lovely garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us sort out the local version of Uber on our phones which was amazing for helping us get around Samarkand and visiting the sights. The Registan is about a 40 minute walk through the city there or a short taxi ride. Everything was very clean and our room was very comfortable. Situated in a lovely leafy area of Samarkand.

Super value for money! Great location not too far from the main sights, friendly staff, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated (ours had a view into the inner courtyard). Breakfast was also included and in terms of quality and quantity it was top-notch. The hotel also boasts its own restaurant which happens to be among the best in town; the quality of the food and the services justifies the slightly higher prices compared to other options around the touristic areas.

Although not the fault of the hotel, we did book a day trip with a driver which came recommended by the front desk clerk. The driver turned out to be a bit of a sleazy person and we ended up being ripped off for having lunch at a place of this choosing mid-way between Samarqand and Shahrisabz. We informed the hotel and they took note of this.

The hotel is decorated in a unique style, and the receptionist Kamol is professional and enthusiastic! The room is large, clean and tidy! Especially when you pass through the mysterious garden leading to the restaurant, the staff greets you kindly! The breakfast is very good! A very cost-effective hotel, I will choose here next time!

We stayed in Platan about 4 years ago first time, and a few more times since then. There are only a handful of hotels in Samarkand we would recommend our friends and family. Platan is TOP on our list. Best breakfast in town! Uncontested in this! Best coffee, cappuccino! The secret is that this hotel has a huge restaurant, next to it, that is part of the Platan company. The restaurant has a huge selection of dishes, best salads in the country, I mean huge portions, we where very surprised by the quality of the food, and the amazing environment at their restaurant. Vegetarian options are plenty! Live pianist, saxophone, the whole works! Hotel was very nice, with their own unique designs very comfortable room. We got to make some product videos with my wife, for doTERRA, plenty of luxury backgrounds, nice tables, comfy chairs. Was treated well by the staff, all our wishes where fulfilled with our video needs, even got an extra table brought in for the room to have the full range of our products displayed. THANKS FOR THE ROYAL TREATMENT!

This was our most positive experience in Central Asia so far, that offered a hotel + restaurant combination! We highly recommend this hotel for those that want good rest, and want to eat gourmet dishes with high quality ingredients! Great place to bring guest and family members for a special meal. The best place for quality food in Samarkand. Nice and friendly service! Amazing restaurant team, we where very impressed. Keep up the good work!

I really loved the friendly and knowledgeable staff. There was also one waiter who was exceptional and understood well how to cater to foreigners. The menu of the restaurant had a variety of good things to eat for reasonable prices. Also, the hotel itself was VERY well priced.

The beds were SOOOOO uncomfortable that it made it difficult to sleep the first night. They really should get better beds in. I would pay more for that!!!

Aic con little bit noisy. Distance to old Samarkanda is 30 minutes walk, but on other hand is on center of russian neighborhood with shops and comercisl.area

Opted to stay here my last night in Uzbekistan purely because it's attached to one of the more highly rated restaurants in the city. The restaurant didn't disappoint. The room was also very spacious and impeccably clean.

No lift. Bed very decidedly "firm" from a North American perspective.
