Easy access from metro. Good breakfast - well priced. Very clean and comfortable.

Stayed in Nagoya to visit a friend. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The pajamas they offered to borrow were so comfy. I wanted to keep them. The staff was very helpful when we asked random questions. The location was great. We were near subway stops and shopping centers. The Lawson on the corner was a life saver. The breakfast buffet was not expensive for the value and quality of the food and service. There were a lot of options for Western and Japanese tastes. The hotel kept our luggage safe after check out so that we can explore the city before taking our train to our next destination. They also had umbrellas to borrow when it was raining. We just used them to go to the Lawson.

We had to go to the front desk to exchange towels.

Hotel is modern and new. Chose a superior queen room for a little extra room space. Still small compared to European standards but reasonably good space for 2 of us with 2 large suitcases. Bathroom was decent with walk in shower which we prefer to a tub and was slightly larger than the capsule type ones you get in a lot of budget Japanese hotels. Location ok. About 5-10min walk to nearest underground station. Walkable distance to Sakae but being honest we found the area not quite to our needs. We may have been better off being near the train station. However, area around hotel was quiet and felt safe. Good value for the price we paid so can't fault that at all. If ever we returned to Nagoya, maybe would look at somewhere close to the main train station.

Travelodge Nagoya Sakae offers a solid stay if you're planning to explore the heart of Nagoya. The location is walkable to the city center and all the main attractions, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and overall, everything went smoothly during the stay.

While the location is central, it's also right next to a busy nightlife district. This might not be ideal for families or those looking for a quieter environment. Also, getting to the hotel involves about a 10-minute walk, which could be a bit much with luggage or in bad weather.

Very clean and feels new-ish. Close to convenient stores. I would definitely stay at the hotel again if I am traveling with company.

It was not close to the railway station although it was two stops away on the subway. So it means dragging my little suitcase for 5 minutes on the road. Also couldn't locate the elevator so had to carry my suitcase down many steps

The stay was nice and cozy, located in a very accessible area of the city a few blocks from the closest subway station. The staff were very nice and accommodating for our stay. They were happy to hold our bags after checkout as well since we had some before our next train journey. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Nagoya.

If you have a bunch of larger bags like we did (2 adults, 1 child), the twin room can be a little difficult to move around in, but certainly not the end of the world.

The hotel is new, everything is fresh, clean and the staff does their job great. They could fulfill all my requests that I asked in advance. It was quiet, the mattresses and pillows are comfortable. Especially I am grateful to the kitchen staff during the breakfast, they were able to meet my request and provide with necessary items I needed due to my food restrictions. I liked that you can regulate the temperature in your room and you have your own air conditioner. Also, I liked that there is no bathtub in the room. The shower is more hygienic.

- friendly staff at check-in who also spoke English - room was spacious and had a seating corner - spacious bathroom with walk-in shower - extra bathroom amenities available at front desk - in central area of Nagoya, within 15min of public transportation (bus and subway)

- no towel exchange at door, instead need to bring towels to front desk to exchange which is a bit weird - did find hair in room that wasn't ours, as well as dust pileup here and there (I have allergies), also the blind had been damaged -bathroom door is partially see-through (frosted sticker) - surrounding area is a nightlife district, so keep that in mind...

Location was close to several train stations within walking distance. Hotel was nice and clean and out of several hotels I've stayed at during my trip, the bed and pillow was most likely one of the best in comfort and size (booked a queen bed room). Loved that the room included an air purifier, which I was happy about.

There wasn't enough walking space and luggage space as we had to open our suitcases in different parts of the room like on the sitting area or the narrow hallway or the bed; both suitcases cannot be opened in one place as you would not be able to walk around them. Wish the amenities were included in the room rather than in the lounge area of the hotel near check-in as you would have to go down to the first floor to get what you need if you forgot something.

This is a Travelodge so you get what you expect (which is a lot better than a Travelodge in the UK). Stayed a couple of nights for a visit to Ghibli park and it was ideal for this. Easy access to central Nagoya for food and wandering the streets, and ready access to the park and train station.
