This was our second time staying here. Our first check in experience was better (we didn't get offered the welcome champagne on arrival for the second stay even though it was available) and what we had requested in the room wasn't carried out correctly, however reception soon rectified that. We got the same large double room which was nice and it was perfect for what we needed. Reception staff were pleasant upon check out and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel for the day which was appreciated.

Breakfast was a little haphazard, the staff were not friendly and the atmosphere because of the staff was not relaxed, it was as if you were being monitored the entire time. They kept touching the food which was off putting and not the most hygienic. The staff also started clearing away some of the breakfast options before the breakfast window ended, it did not encourage you to relax and enjoy and totally put me off to the point I left rather than finishing my breakfast as it was so uncomfortable. The dining room itself was functional, but dated. I wish we wouldn't have booked breakfast on our second time here (we booked room only on our first visit) as it did spoil our overall experience of an otherwise lovely hotel.

This is a very good hotel. Spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast, really comfortable beds, great location (near the train station, so naturally be careful), and the staff are really, really lovely. As a family of five, we thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The free mini bar and free coffee and cakes in the lobby were a lovely surprise! Highly recommend.

Perhaps the location isn't ideal because there's a lot of junkies around etc., but it's like any big city - you just have to be vigilant and aware of your surroundings. Uber is perfect for getting around, for this reason. However, the tram is almost right outside the door which is extremely cheap and convenient too!

The size of the room was nice, spacious. The bed was large and the so was the bathroom. I enjoyed the free mini bar offer although I just took water. There was a kettle and some nice complimentary teas in the room which I also appreciated. The staff were direct but hospitable. The breakfast and coffee were great and the location was super convenient since I had to catch a train the following morning.

The beds were a little soft but still really comfortable. The bath didn't really work - the bath faucet only provided cold water unfortunately. While the shower pressure wasn't great the toiletries were very nice.

The hotel has a great location, just 50 metres from the Central Station (on the good side away from the drug infested areas). It is very stylish with an early 20th century atmosphere and some careful renovations. It is clean and looks like a well run hotel without too many frills. Rooms are quiet and of good standard.

I've been a regular guest for about 15 years. While I still like it, I can see that it has somewhat declined in standard. The breakfast buffet used to be exceptional, it is no longer quite as good - still very good compared to other hotels. The free minibar is now very basic (2 bottles of water, 1 coke, 1 beer). It would be great, if the hotel could go back to old standards. When travelling in summer, the absence of air conditioning in rooms can be a problem.

Since I stayed at the Monopol several times before I find, although it is an old Building, the amenities are very good. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I had a special request for a room I stayed in last time, and despite my late arrival, my request was still honoured. The other experience to mention would be the two Ladies-Staff in the Breakfast room, they are super friendly and no requests regarding the Breakfast are too much effort for them to answer. Overall, the Location is an additional value to get around easily with all the transportation needs, Taxi in front of the door, train station, Metro stations, and streetcar stations just across the street.

Firstly, it is refreshing when the Hotel honours an advanced Request for a certain Room. The Staff at the Reception greeds with a friendly and helpful Attitude! Secondly, the Breakfast is a must-mention, outstanding is the choice of the buffet offerings, and availability times from 06:00 to 10:30h. Friendly Staff is extremely helpful and attentive, the buffet is continuously restocked and the tables are continuously cleared of used crockery. The 2 Ladies, Mrs Mena and Larissa go out of their way to help and make certain all is taken care of. Thirdly, the Property offers a free in-room Minibar with daily restocking. A further Free Amenity is a lobby-based refreshment service of Coffee, Cakes, Fruits and Juice during the afternoon.

Since the Property dates back to the year 1920, it should've some overall make-up to bring the previous Glory to a new shine!

The staff were super helpful and nice. Breakfast was decent. We had clean sheets, towels and absolutely loved the mini bar! I thought I may had left my watch rushing out to catch the train to Brussels. I emailed the hotel and they responded quickly describing what it looked like. I asked how I could retrieve it since it was a gift from my husband. They simply stated the watch could be mailed! I was so surprised. They walked me through everything to do and let me know when the package was picked up by the courier service. I was sooo relieved when my package arrived. I am so grateful for the integrity of the staff which is truly hard to find nowadays. I will definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again when my family and I return 😊

Even though there is no AC given the age of the building, I hope they invest in window screens so that people can enjoy having the windows open and not worry about bugs!

I can confidently say that it was a good experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality.The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Frankfurt making it incredibly convenient to explore all the major attractions. Whether you're looking for shopping, dining, or cultural experiences, everything is just a short walk or drive away. The rooms are beautifully designed, and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room amenities were top-notch, including a well-stocked minibar, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a entertainment system. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting and I look forward to returning in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

There was some mosquitos in the room but no mosquito spray

Very spacious for our family of 4. Appreciated having double sinks in the bathroom and a large towel warmer. The small touch of leaving gummy bears in our pillows was very sweet. Staff is also extremely helpful. Convenient location across the street from the train station.

We didn’t receive housekeeping during our 2-night stay, despite having the “please make up room” sign on the door. As a result, we ran out of toilet paper and tissues before checkout. Also, our television wasn’t hooked up and didn’t even turn on.

It's a nice traditional looking hotel, impressive entrance hall, lots of seating and a bar area. The room was spacious, with 2 separate sleeping areas. The minibar was free, but with only 1 beer, 2 water, and 2 Pepsi, not exactly an abundance of choice. Breakfast buffet had a reasonable choice of cooked and continental type options, quality was fine. Really convenient for the train station or to grab a taxi at the rank outside the hotel. Its a 24-hour front desk but they do lock the main entrance at night, so you just need to buzz and flash your room for security to let you in.

As its not that modern it was a bit shabby, in places, don't expect ultra modern touches like usb plug sockets etc. The bathroom could do with a refurb, toilet pan was cracked, a few scrapes, and marks around various walls. Also, the bath had a shower curtain, which I detest (just a personal opinion). As others will say, the city area immediately around the station is a bit rough and ready, but its like anywhere unless you go looking for trouble, then no one bothers you.
