The 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel has the best unobstructed views of the St Lawrence River. You are so close you can hear the soft lap of the waves on the shoreline. The Harbor walk that lines the Clayton shoreline can be easily accessed on the Riverview side of the hotel; this walkway is a well lit flat paved path a short distance into the best riverfront restaurants.

For a 4 Diamond hotel they have the cheapest and roughest toilet paper I've ever encountered! Also, the king bed mattress was very hard.

Absolutely loved the room and the amenities. The value was excellent and the staff was friendly. Pool and Hot Tub were excellent. Lots of things in walking distance.

The spa tub in the room either hadn't been used or cleaned in awhile and when we turned on the jets a bunch of dirt and black stuff came out into the water. Also, there is no coffee maker in the room and no coffee station available until 6am. Something to be aware of if you are an early riser and need that morning cup before 6.

We had a riverside balcony view. It was gorgeous. The grounds themselves looks beautiful with lots of bold-colored mums and fall decor (pumpkins, gourds, etc.) The outdoor courtyard was lovely and the firepits definitely added to the ambiance. The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious and we liked the bread basket a lot.

Our exterior of our door had pry marks that were a little unnerving, but ours was the only door with those marks. It was a bit pricey but don't travel much so maybe that's how much hotels cost now.

If you can get river view, do it! Truly one of the best views of the river/shipping channel ever! And when a ship does pass by it is so close! Gorgeous views from foggy mornings to super sunsets, and the property is lovely with Adirondack chairs to rest and watch the river. The room was lovely - comfortable beds, incredible view, old River feel with a huge shower. When we were there the pool and gym were being renovated due to flooding so I can't speak to them.

Being on the river, watching the boats and having a balcony. The bar and food there is excellent. Pool and Jacuzzi very nice. Lots of parking, tiki bar outside. Walking distance to town . Fresh towels brought in daily we stayed here a few times and the other times we had rooms with wooden floors this room this time had rugs on the floor. I prefer the wooden floors so next time I’ll ask for that, but it was still nice.

our door to our hotel kept sticking. We had to keep pulling it shut. Also, the light when you walked in was not working, but that was very small things.

The view to the river and to the islands was very beautiful. The room was in a good quality, the beds were very comfortable.

It wad not clear if we can have breakfast or not (even by payment). I had an issue with the reservation, they did have our booking reservation ( while we already paid to booking…) they tried to help but they could do more, we spent too much time in the reception to set our rooms, we doubled paied for the room, to booking and to the hotel, we got a refund a month later ….

It was clean. The location was great to see what the 1000 Islands had to offer. I would definitely go again and stay with them.

We had a room with a balcony. It could of been a little cleaner, lots of cobwebs. The rooms could use a little updating. They also need to have garbage disposal in the parking lot. After traveling you need a way to dispose of the stuff in your car. It made it a inconvenience to have to find somewhere else to dispose of things before heading home.

It was a lovely stay.

There was construction on the site as well as window washing which was quite loud and although it was only during the daytime work hours , we should have been notified about this prior to booking. And with construction the price of the rooms should have been discounted as it was too noisy in the day to sit on grounds or on balcony. This was disappointing.

Mostly everything was great. I liked the coffee each morning in the hallway. The food was very good.

I thought they had an outdoor pool, but they did not The hours of the bar were not posted , it closed too early on Thursday 10:00pm. The one time I had a drink , it was not the same price the next time, it almost doubled in price.

Property was clean and well taken care of. Location was great. You can walk along the river on the sidewalk (5 minute walk) for restaurants and some shops. Pool was clean and kids loved it. There is complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate on each floor every morning which was great!

They only came once on the first night to empty the trash and clean the room up. Also, we wish there was a breakfast buffet option instead of a sit down restaurant.
