Very friendly staff. Lovely well tended grounds, a good sized swimming pool and a 2nd smaller adult only pool. Sunbeds were always available. Kayaks free for guests to use. Walking distance from many bars and restaurants. We will definitely come again as we felt it was absolutely charming and very good value for money

Very narrow beach that disappeared when the tide came in. Not all the sunbeds on the grass had parasols causing everyone to sit in one area. Noone checked the beach to clear the few bits of plastic that appeared during our stay. The rooms were a little dark and tired.

Breakfast

There is no swimming beach because of the rocks. You need to take a right and walk at least 5 minutes to the headland.

We have experienced the stay with GajaPuri in the past and it's remaining satisfaction toward the services especially the staff. Last stay was a pool villa, but this time we choose beach Bangalow as raining season and forecasting as 80-100% rain. Then better keep yourself in shelter than at the pool...haha. Breakfast is now a bit of a change to selective choice of egg menus + Buffet line with additional meals, Salad bar, Yoghurt, drinks and breads. Dinner with Thai food was fantastic! Delicious and tasty 🤤 Surrounding with a lot of restaurants just a few walk from the hotel. The pool is big and clean. Close to Klong Plu Waterfall as 5 Km distances from here.

Only the beach that is not suitable for swimming as a rock beach, but in the early morning you can enjoy walking to greeting with crabs 😊

Everything was great and as described: friendly staff shoe helped us organise the transportation to Koh Kood, lovely beach front bungalow which was spacious and comfortable with a nice outside area, lovely facilities like the restaurant for breakfast and the swimming pools (there are two!) and great spot to watch the sunset. The property is surrounded by lots of green / nature and is quiet, yet on the doorstep of plenty of restaurants. There is only a small beach right in front of the property but you have a couple of bigger ones to the right and also the beautiful and long Kai Bae beach within 10-15 mins walking distance.

The staff service was excellent from check-in to check-out. The hotel amenities were outstanding. The location was perfect. Close to everything you need. Western and Thai restaurants. Shops and convenient stores. We will stay again. I took a video of our room and even the pool but I can't figure out how to upload it here.

Not what we didn't like. But the only downside was the beach. It was rocky.

Some of it was under construction - although we were offered significant compensation and it didn’t interfere with the stay. You can’t swim in the beach by the property due to the rocks - but there’s a good beach a 10 minute walk from the property and it was lovely having the sea views, swings over the water and the sound of the waves crashing

Great location, nice facilities, the property is well taken care of. The breakfast buffet is not the biggest, but they had different choices every day, so it did not get boring. Food in the restaurant was also very tasty, highly recommended for lunch/dinner. The bungalow was very spacious, with a large bed that had a medium hard mattress. There are two nice pools, that were almost empty during our stay, so we could fully enjoy them. The sea is also swimmable in high tide, you just have to wear swimming shoes because of the rocks. Other than that the water was clear and you could swim easily. Another great feature was the free use of kayaks and stand up paddles. Overall, a great resort for a longer stay, calm and quiet. Oh and almost no russians were present during our stay, which is an added bonus, because there are plenty of them on the island.

Maybe a few more seafront chairs would have been helpful, it got pretty busy in the afternoon. Bathrooms could use a bit of renovation, but nothing too much, just re-polish the wood and fill in a couple of cracks.

Beautiful, peaceful setting, 2nd stay here over festive period. Breakfast now moved so it’s overlooking beach & pool the most amazing views to start day. Loved breakfast time, never too busy, lots of choice. So many lovely restaurants and massage as soon as you step out of hotel. Loved size of rooms and privacy of small decked area with two sunloungers. We stayed in over 16s area. My favourite area of hotel is the huge pool for over 16s. However kids did use pool while we were on our stay and it was never challenged, maybe few more signs up would help direct parents with children to other pool? We were not ready to leave this amazing hotel after 9 nights, can’t wait to return!

Maybe on-site spa and small gym would be good.

There were two pools and one was for adults only. From that pool, you could see the ocean and the sunsets. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff very friendly. This was the perfect place to stay in Koh Chang.

This would have been a 10-star review except two issues. One was a 40 baht per day tax that was not mentioned previously. It's very small ($1.25 per day), but it should have been included in the price. I don't like additional fees/taxes getting added after you arrive. It feels like a bait-and-switch. Second is the Wifi. It's great near the pool and in the breakfast room. Some bungalows probably had excellent Wifi, but ours was terrible. And it is public access so I couldn't trust that people on the network were even hotel guests.

Gorgeous grounds and planting made tgd place feel lush and tropical. Location with a private beach is excellent, close to Kai Bay which is bustling. Great pools and breakfast was really good, with plenty of options

My only issue was the restaurant at night. The food is average at best and the atmosphere of the outside dining area is not great. Most resorts in Thailand have great restaurants, but this was a bit lacking and we ended up eating out most nights
