Incredible views! The property was beautifully maintained, but what made it truly special was how homely it felt - clearly family-run with so much heart. We loved waking up to freshly cooked breakfasts each morning, especially the house-made jams using produce grown right on the property, like eggplants and tomatoes. It felt like a genuinely authentic experience. The staff were warm and helpful — from assisting with our luggage to offering great restaurant recommendations, making local bookings, and helping with transport. And the pool? An absolute highlight! Highly recommend.

The only negative about the property is the stairs to get to and from but this is expected anywhere along Amalfi if you’re wanting incredible views. It didn’t matter too much for us :)

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Il Frantoio! I was travelling alone and stayed for 6 nights - the room was spacious, with a whirlpool bath, kitchenette and very comfortable bed. The view from the private garden was spectacular, breakfast was varied and fresh and the pool was heated, which was good for April! Giacomo, Giulio and Cristina really look after their guests, remembering how you like your eggs in the morning and for general local knowledge. I had contacted them before I travelled for a recommendation for a transfer from Naples and they sent me information and I got a very good deal for a shared transfer. Yes, there are 250 steps up from the main road but they are totally doable and the view is worth it. I will return with my husband and kids to stay in the apartment when my girls are big enough to handle the steps! Thank you for a wonderful stay-this trip was a gift for my 40th birthday and my main aim was to relax, have a rest, and enjoy the view and it exceeded all of my expectations. Would highly recommend staying here - Praiano is quieter and calmer than Positano or Amalfi but the local bus will get you to either of them in half an hour for €1.50!

If you’re thinking of booking don’t think twice. This place is absolutely worth it. The staff is so kind and welcoming and the views are truly unbelievable. They will meet you and help you carry your bags to the room. The stairs can be a bit tough but they do their best to help you when checking in. We traveled with our moms who are in their 60’s and they were able to get up and down without issues. The stairs are worth the breathtaking views from the Villa. I am biased as we got engaged here but I couldn’t think of a more perfect place. Villa Frantoio will always have a special place in my heart. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the cappuccinos are some of the best I had on the Amalfi coast.

This was the best place to stay on the whole Amalfi Coast. The villa is relaxing, very clean, and beautiful. We had the best time here, the staff were so helpful and even went to the effort of making sure we had delicious vegan options for breakfast. Praiano is such a beautiful place along the coast without the crowds of Positano and Amalfi and we loved our time at this beautiful family-run accomodation. Even the stairs weren’t too bad, it’s all worth it for the beautiful view and excellent hospitality

Wow!! From the room to the views to the amazing people that work there, we could not have been more happy! What an incredible 4 nights we had and we were so thankful that we ended our 3 weeks in Southern Italy here. The team made us feel like we were family and it shows in all they do. Great breakfast and espressos, beautiful views and comfortable beds. What more can be said. Stay in this perfect place and perfect town (sandwiched in between) and enjoy the quiet and awesome people of Villa iI Frantoio! You will not regret it.

Not one single thing!

Villa Il Frantoio & Lilmar was incredible. Amazing views from our private balcony looking over Praiano, Positano & the Amalfi Coast. Giulio & his team were extremely helpful with the suitcases, local sights, Food options & were accommodating with dietary restrictions for breakfast. I celebrated my Birthday while there, I had not mentioned this but they had a cake & candle ready that morning when we went for breakfast. It was a nice little touch! Facilities were clean, a nice pool area for when the beaches were busy. They've kept the rustic feel about it which adds to the character. Will recommend to all friends & family as a place to stay if they visit.

everything about the property exceeded our expectation. The staff and the owner were available for any questions we required. The breakfast was made to order and a shortorder chef (usually the owner) was there to make anything we needed. Fresh fruit, breads and home made jams were abundant. We were in the villa attached to the hotel, so we we had those services available to us. And the views...we incredible!! Highly recommend---and we wished we had styed longer...next time we will!!

We like everything about the property. We like the quietness, the space, the view from huge terrace facing the sea, and most of all staff. Cristina was very helpful from the get go. We love the breakfast choices as well. Highly recommend when staying in Praiano.

If you don’t mind going up and down 200 hundred steps few times a day you will enjoy this property. It’s a test to your fitness. There’s another way to avoid this but slightly longer route just ask the staff.

Location is a perfect quiet getaway and has lots of amazing food choices (il Pino, Kasai, Che Bonita) If you desire you can pop over to Positano or Amalfi Town easily by taxi or boat. Little secret, they make their own Lemoncello that is dynamite, preserves are homemade from their garden as are vegetables. Family owned, absolutely anything you need, Giacomo, is your man, other staff like Christina, and Tony are the best.

Amazing stay at Villa Frantoio. We stayed in the Villa which was spacious and beautiful. On the morning of our first breakfast, another hotel guest small talked us about how good the service was- she was spot on. Fresh towels daily, as well as room cleaning. Hot shower! This alone sets apart Giulio and his staff from other accommodations on the Almafi Coast. But they also cook eggs to order for each guest, AND have a full breakfast spread. Friendly hosts who clearly have a passion for hosting guests at their Villa. If I ever return, I wouldn't question staying here again. Praiano is beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with the location. No other town we visited lived up to our expectations. Lots of steps up to the Villa, but if you are worried about it w luggage you can take a car up to a more ideal access point for the Villa.
