Great place to stay! So calm and nice location! Marie the admin was super nice, the hotel was so easy to check in, our room was wonderful! Super safe!

I absolutely loved staying here, I didn’t want to leave, I felt so at home. It’s such an amazingly peaceful spot, yet it’s also so very close to downtown and everything to see and do in Tamarindo (including a <10 minute walk to the beach.) The room was very clean and had everything you need, including extra nice touches like coffee being provided and proper dishes and glassware. The bed was comfy, the a/c was reliable and powerful, and the bathroom was nice too. The property itself is also stunning - both pools are beautiful, and there are nice design touches everywhere you look. And the team there is incredible, they helped answer any questions I had, made sure I had whatever I needed, and helped me arrange things like transportation too. I truly can’t say enough about this place, I’d stay again in a heartbeat and won’t bother looking anywhere else next time I’m in Tamarindo.

I can’t think of any improvements to be honest - they’ve thought of everything and more.

The pool was great for when we wanted a break from the beach. Breakfast was good and had a good selection of fruits, egg/bacon/cheese/veggie omelettes, rice/beans, plantain, pancakes, toast/bagels, oatmeal, coffee, juice. The property is locked with a keypad for entry and has security throughout the night, so you are 100% safe the whole time. The property only has 10-12 rooms (or around that) and therefore it has a homey feel - you get to know the other guests staying there. The staff were very helpful day and night and provided insight scoop on recommendations for what to do/where to go during the days.

Breakfast started at 8am, we wish it started a little earlier (maybe 7am), as the sun rises around 5am and we were up with the sun everyday! Other than that everything was perfect!

Just about everything! A real oasis of calm in the chaos of Tamarindo Bay on Easter weekend! The place was PACKED, but this gem of a hotel was all calmness and quietness. Very beautifully designed but not imposing in any way. It was also nice to have a couple of nights without any children around! Breakfasts were gorgeous, the pool area truly delightfully, and the room very well appointed, super comfortable and super clean

Our only “gripe” if we could call it that, was our room in that it was once the owner’s private apartment so that meant it was tucked away round the back beside the laundry. So we had no real daylight and no balcony or outdoor space. HOWEVER, the room was also much bigger than the others with a separate kitchenette, and proper dressing room, AND as we booked at the last minute, we were just delighted to get a room at all! Other than that, we could not fault this place and would return in a heartbeat

Best kept hotel I have ever been at - the whole staff works hard and it shows! The entire place was spotless (would have eaten off of the floor). Staff were all very kind. Really appreciated the ambiant sounds played near the pool - we felt like we were staying at a spa, which was very relaxing. If you want to stay in an oasis of calm in the heart of the bustling city of Tamarindo - I highly recommend this hotel! Bonus: spotting monkeys a few meters away when eating breakfast.

Breakfast was served at 8am - which was very late for us trying to live the Tico lifestyle and getting up early.

Our room was beautiful and very welcoming, the bed was super comfortable, the hotel was clean and nicely maintained, we loved the outdoor/pool area. The staff were all excellent - they had a knack for respecting privacy while also being friendly, accommodating and professional.

The breakfast was mediocre. Honestly, I expected more, given that Tamarindo Bay Boutique Hotels advertises "chef prepared breakfast," For me, it paled relative to the luxury of our room and the garden/pool area. We had lovely plush towels to start, but when they were replaced (twice during our 6 night stay), the replacement towels were old, discolored and, again, didn't measure up to the beautiful luxury we otherwise enjoyed.

The breakfast was lovely and Marie approached me every single morning to check in with me if everything was accommodating. This personal touch worked wonders. She was absolutely wonderful! The room was great, spacious and clean.

The noise was exceptionally awful. The walls are thin and I could hear the tv of next door neighbours late at night. So as the music from bars until at least 2 am. I couldn’t sleep on any given night sadly

This boutique hotel is absolutely incredible. Super clean and spacious rooms. 3 min walking from the main road (which is great because you are close enough and walking distance from restaurants, but at the same time the hotel location is quiet). Hotel is close to so many restaurants to choose from. Also 4 min walking from Tamarindo Beach. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast is amazing and lol the amenities are great. The hotel has a really cool vibe… The hotel doesn’t have a gym, but there is a gym within the same block in which you can get a $10 day pass or $30 week pass. I will totally stay here on my next visit… 100% recommended.

TMB thought of everything to make their guests stay as stress free as possible. Separate towels are provided for the bathroom, the pool and the beach. Endless hot and cold filtered water is available 24-7. Electrical outlets include USB AND USB-C charging. Bedside reading lights give off just the right ambiance.

The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable with a large changing area next to the bathroom. The staff was friendly.

The guy next door was an unbelievably loud snorer. The walls were not particularly thin, but we still heard him all night. The hotel's map was next to worthless (it was hard to tell where the beach was! And the shops it pointed out were only labeled with numbers, so you had to look up the key to figure out anything). It would have been nice if they could have clearly marked the best route to the beach, to the Thursday night market, etc. Plus, the directions we got to the Thursday night market were wrong - we never did find it.
