It was a large room with a comfortable bed and a good sized balcony that you could sit out on. The staff were friendly and made us a cup of tea in the afternoon (we are British!) and we sat out on the large patio overlooking the garden. We enjoyed some excellent walks in the Black Forest without needing to go in the car. Freudenstadt is a five minute drive and we went there each evening to eat. (We especially recommend Turm Brau on the market square). The breakfast buffet was good.

While the staff were very helpful making drinks, it would have been good to have access to tea and coffee making facilities at any time either in the room or without having to ask. (There was tea and coffee available with breakfast).

The best of the 5 different hotels that we stayed at in Germany! It had the largest room with a large couch and skylights, as well as the largest balcony with reclining chairs and a table. It had the largest bathroom. The food was exceptionally good. We ate in a shaded area of the main floor balcony overlooking the scenic back yard. The pool in the basement was a nice size and was very clean. They had clean private rooms for changing close to the pool as well. Off street parking was close to the entrance too.

I left my cell phone on the black counter when I checked in. They promptly returned it after I told them that I had misplaced my phone.

Informal atmosphere. lovely garden with indoor pool, room was great, breakfast was great.

You need to go out for dinner, but actually we were really glad we went into the town for this as it was lovely to see that too.

Everything was great - clean rooms, balcony with view, swimming pool, breakfasts, dinner, welcoming staff, quiet place (except for the passing trains), hiking trails nearby

Room has no air-conditioner. Lowered ceilings on 2nd floor are a challenge for your head :-)

Lovely hotel in a very quiet setting. Nice big room with a balcony, very clean. Swimming pool is a bonus. Safe private parking. Great breakfast and nice people.

There's no restaurant on site.

Lovely location, quiet with a nice garden, simple but good offering of food!

The bed wasn't the comfiest, but we're used to a very firm mattress.

there were no darkening curtains in our large room, so the fussy sleepers among us were waking up with the sunlight, a few hours earlier than ideal for a holiday :) not a big deal for people like me who can sleep through anything ;)

Spacious room. Lots of hiking routes direct from the hotel. Swimming pool indoors and deckchairs just outside for a welcome cooling swim and relaxing time at the end of each of the hot days we were there.

Breakfast was a slight let down, but ok for just a few days and for the price.
