The hotel is a bit of the beaten track, which is great since there's not going to be much noise. Located just outside of Bantry, you're a 5 minute drive from the town. The hotel is splendid. It's beautiful, outside and inside. Rooms are big (we did have the Jr Suite), well appointed and charming. We even had a door to the garden, which was great since we're travelling with a dog. The room even has a top notch nespresso machine... very helpful in the morning. Breakfast was very good, all inclusive with a buffet and on order any type of hot breakfast, and of course a full Irish breakfast. They have a very nice and modern spa facility, including seaweed bath.

The breakfast was superb. There was great variety and the staff were most obliging. It was lovely to have a really hot breakfast and there was no problem in getting more. We didn't take the dinner option. The room was lovely and spacious. As we were on a relaxing break, the space was great for us to sit around and feel relaxed. We didn't feel under pressure at any stage during our stay.
The tea and coffee facilities were only average. Very little milk provided and even on our second day, the milk wasn't replaced and we had to get our own milk.

The hotel is a fine boutique hotel with real seaview. The building is nice, the park surrounding it is wonderful. You can admire 2 m long hydrangeas during breakfast! We had a room on the second floor with sea view, we liked that a lot. The room was nice, the bed a little small for two people. The whole place is very quiet, very elegant. There is a restaurant also, we have tried it once, it is more expensive than the average in the vicinity. We did not try the spa services because we had other obligations. You need a car, because the towns nearby are not walking distance. Suggested for those who want to really stay away for a couple of days and enjoy old furniture etc.
The water-sewege system is a little outdated, the water pressure is sometimes low. The bathroom is tiny, and the windows are the old type. Overally, the hotel might think of a little modernisation to attract also younger generations.

Great location to start the ring of Beara with comfy bed and delicious dinner!
All was great! The only watch out is about dinner options. If you don’t want to drive id like to advise the dinner in the hotel - which was delicious. The only other walking option is the Mannings emporium, that do tapas in the summer, but you need to reserve ahead (couple of days) as they have only very limited seating options. Their code is great!

The hotel was rather dated (which isn't really obvious from the photographs) although the garden and the restaurant/breakfast room were lovely. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious - as was breakfast (I can remember really enjoying the stewed rhubarb!). The hotel is set back from the main road so is quiet but I was hoping to be able to walk around the bay from the hotel - which wasn't possible.
The shower had a control which needed twisting and it was very stiff - most people wouldn't have a problem with it, but for the elderly it might be a problem.

Really nice hotel - lovely room with a view of the sea - comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. The hotel has a relaxed "country house" feel with a great bar and friendly staff. We had a cocktail and then a lovely dinner, with great food, wine and service. Breakfast next morning was excellent - my only very small issue was the coffee could have been better. We stayed one night, as part of a few days driving the Wild Atlantic Way - highly recommended.
Can't think of anything.

Great staff, between the two young lads behind the bar, Lydia at reception and the two ladies at breakfast, they should be proud of themselves for the service they provided. The food at breakfast was the best I've eaten in a hotel and I've eaten in at least a hundred hotels. The family room was ma-hu-sive and the room to the front had a fantastic view, made all the better with the sun shining through. Guinness was good and didn't sample the spa area but I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The staff in the hotel (especially in the restaurant) were fantastic. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was terrific and the hotel had a lovely relaxed vibe. I would definitely recommend this place. The location was really good. We hope to return!
The Reception desk was generally unmanned and sometimes it was hard to speak to someone. Also, TV options were basic but it's rural Ireland and we weren't there to watch telly.

The staff were incredible - could not have made us feel more welcome. We brought the puppy and they were so considerate of her. Breakfast was lovely and had a vegan option! Dinner was perfect and we were kindly gifted drinks for our engagement. Location is great and scenery is breathtaking. We are looking forward to coming back :)

Nice staff, lovely location and lovely spa (we had the sea weed baths and it so relaxing)
The food was nice but standard fare. Which is a pity as I was expecting something special based on the reviews. Just a little feedback and don’t want to be too fussy but I was asked how i would like my lamb and I said medium but I got it well done.
