Prior to our arrival, British Gas had managed to leave the Bronzed Pig without any heating, hot water or kitchen. An electrician was busy getting the immersion heater working so there was hot water at least. We were offered a full refund by a very apologetic owner, but we opted to stay without any heating or food. The owner booked breakfast for us in a nearby hotel which was very good. Adjacent to the Bronzed Pig are two great pubs and the castle. We had a great stop in Lincoln and would recommend it. The owner had to close the restaurant for the night and pay for our breakfasts so he didn't have a good evening, but still tried everything to ensure we were comfortable, great management.

The only parking available is in one of the three small carparks nearby. We paid £3.20 until 6pm then £5 overnight until 8am.

Lovely comfortable room, clean and well presented. Friendly, pleasant host who was welcoming. Well equipped bathroom and I especially appreciated having a bidet. Quiet at night despite being by a road. Good tea and coffee facilities in bedroom. Very good breakfast. Providing this for information. Everything was great. There are four rooms above a restaurant. There is a separate entrance down a small side alley to reach the doorway to the stairs for the rooms. I only mention this for the sake of information as it is obviously a different experience to being in a hotel. The owner lives on site should any problems arise.

I was happy with everything.

Staff member (owner, I think) was very pleasant, showed us our room and left us to it. Room was clean, well appointed and comfortable with a great bathroom. Location was awesome, only a few minutes walk from the major central city attractions, pubs, etc. Would definitely stay there again. The Bronze Pig did not have its own parking but there is easy and inexpensive parking directly across the road.

Steep steps up to the room that made getting heavy bags up and down a bit awkward but not a significant issue.

Owner was friendly and helpful, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and shower, fridge in room, plenty of coffee/tea etc. Ideal location for cathedral, castle and museum district. Excellent breakfast and coffee, agreed time and breakfast order the night before as understandably a small establishment. Did not dine in evening so unable to comment on that aspect of the restaurant. Our room looked out over the street but didn't notice any undue overnight street noise or traffic. Plenty of parking options very near the accommodation, reasonably priced, run by local council.

Nothing major. Weather was warm so option of a sheet as an alternative to the duvet would have made it a bit cooler to get to sleep. For privacy we needed to draw the curtains so this reduced airflow. Perhaps a fan as an option?

Nice location, bed really comfortable, carpets nice and soft, bathroom very spacious and warm with the under floor heating. Parking was ample nearby.

Not that you can do much about it but the stairs to the level of where the rooms are quite narrow when carrying luggage. View out the window was not the best but it we were given the option, bigger bathroom or from view to the front where you can see the castle.

We had a lovely room upstairs from the restaurant with a very comfortable bed an excellent en suite bathroom. Our check in experience was really easy and on departure we just had to leave our key in the room. It is an excellent location in Lincoln near the castle and the older part of town. Remember Lincoln is steep, and taxis may be needed to get you from the bottom to the top!

Nothing greatly, it does feel as if you are heading down an alley - which you are - but the room more than makes up for this,

Excellent venue for accommodation and food. The host is wonderful, and he makes you feel very welcome. The rooms are perfect with everything you might need available. Comfy bed and lovely location. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had the taster menu with the paired wines. The food is amazing! Breakfast was just as good with a great selection to choose from. We are already planning our next stay.

Fantastic breakfast. Infact one of the best. The host is brilliant nothing was too much trouble. The coffee is out of this world fantastic I had to have two cups it was literally that good. Location was perfect for a gig at the castle and close to all amenities. Really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you so much

Quick and friendly check in and shown into the room. The room was spotless and finished to a great standard. It was everything i needed for the night. Location was perfect for an event at Lincoln Castle.

there were a couple of stains on the carpet but suspect they were tea/coffee which was unfortunate as the rest of the room was so nice. As a suggestion you could add a bottle of water in the fridge for arrival but thats only a suggestion and not really a dislike

Location - great for city centre/castle/cathedral. Comfort - Bed was comfortable. Plenty of storage space for short stay. Bathroom - Modern and clean. Owner - Very pleasant to talk to and helpful. Check-in - Received a delicious chocolate brownie cake each to have with our coffee.

No parking, so need to use public car parks. They are located very close by so not really a problem and just £9.50 for 24 hours. However, on our arrival (Sat 2:30pm and middle of August) it was very busy and hard to find a space. Our schedule didn't allow us to stay for the Sunday roast, which sounded amazing.
