Meteor Central is a very good value tourist class hotel that has an excellent central location in Cluj. Likes: 1. Perfect Location. Central location within short walking distance to main tourist attractions, many restaurants and gelaterias, a small grocery store and multiple coffee shops. 2. Quiet. No steet noise or othet noisy guests. 3. Great staff! Friendly, laid back and always helpful. Ildi, who runs the main reception desk, was always welcoming, friendly and helpful, as was her colleague, Oana. Excellent job done by both! 4. Daily Breakfast. I hghly recommend Meteor Central and will rebook here for any future trips to Cluj!

The only things that the rooms don't have are an in-room safe, mini fridge and kettle/coffee maker. Adding some/all of these would make this hotel an even better value, but these aren't deal-breakers.The breakfast options are a little limited, but fine given that this is a small hotel.

Everything in this hotel is nice. The room, the breakfast, the location, the staff. I had an excellent stay close to everything and also close to pick up locations for tours. I felt at room was super clean and I had a room in the 3rd floor which had a window on the ceiling who was so nice to look at the sky and also get natural light during the day hours. It has no elevator but it was not an issue for me. This place has a supermarket and many currency exchange locations in a matter of a few steps. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Airport is just a 20 minutes ride if you use Uber.

These were not negatives for me but might be helpful for others: - Thin walls - Noisy flooring on the hallways - No elevator - Hot water takes a while As a small recommendation for the hotel: It would be great to mark the stairs on the hallways, it's easy to miss them. Same with the step outside the breakfast room. Also, I almost tripped on one of the step edges on the main stairway. Might be worth seciring them a bit better so they don't lift easily.

Room is small but very clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast although the breakfast room is narrow and not suited if there are more than 4-6 people. If you stay for one-two nights, the hotel is more than OK. Perfect location, it is right in the center of the city

Nothing to complain about the hotel. Parking is a total mess, very difficult to find a place near the hotel and you can pay only for two hours. But this is a problem that is to be addressed to the city hall of Cluj, not to the hotel.

Staff (lady on reception was so lovely!) the room (A deluxe suite) was very clean. We loved the two toilets, the shower was absolutely amazing! And the decor etc was really nice. The size of the room was wonderful. The “living area” came in handy as a pull out bed area also. The location is amazing too, everything on your door step. It’s a cosy hotel overall. Breakfast is simple but tasty and the coffee was lovely.

The bed - the main bed was hard and the left hand side of the bed was on a slope. Neither of us could sleep on that side. In room 201. Hence why my partner ended up using the pull out sofa bed both nights. Such a shame because the size of the bed was so good. Be warned, there’s no lift and if you’re on the third floor that’s quite a few steps if you have difficulty. We didn’t want to say anything, because we did like the room, I couldn’t really be bothered to move. And we didn’t want to offend the receptionist. But I think the mattress probably needs looking at.

Breakfast was very basic, Eggs bread jams serial cheese slices ham and coffee Also they added some packed stuff which was good to consume but my expectations were some OG Romanian stuff. But food was ok to eat but you’ll get bore after couple of days.

Very good location, close to the city center. Tasty breakfasts with all everyday's meal. Clean room and facilities.

The mansard room becomes very hot closer to the noon. There is no water circulation, you need to wait for 5 min till the warm water comes. There is no small fridge in the room. There is no power socket in the bathroom or close to it.

Great location, good, practical room with a fantastic shower. Really helpful staff and a nice breakfast, which we could take earlier the morning we left. The location is as good as it gets, with a 20-30 minute walk to the main station.

Room small, but ok. One thing we missed was fresh bread rolls for breakfast, but that was made up by a toaster.

The suite was very spacious, very quiet and ideally located for me. The staff went above and beyond to assist and make my stay as pleasant as possible. Everything was very clean. I had a very good stay at this hotel in the pretty town of Cluj-Napoca.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. The breakfast room could be made a little nicer, maybe.

First of all, the location is excellent - you cannot get any closer to the center of Cluj. The hotel has a nice, cozy vibe and the staff is also really friendly. They even went the extra mile and called us as soon as they had an available room, as we arrived quite early in the morning. The breakfast buffet was also good, exactly what i would expect.
