The staff were so slow at the reception and they don’t smile at all. Hospitality is different - also foreigners were treated differently during welcoming guests at the reception; offering them more expensive drinks- which is unacceptable. It’s not about the drink of course - but differentiating between guests based on rate or something else is not respectful.

location and room view

Hotel had a wedding and it was very loud. Also, the picture of the beach is very deceiving as this beach does not belong to the hotel and we were asked to leave. My kids usually like to play in the sand but also have access to the beach water, this isnt possible at this hotel.

Good location in Montaza with easy access to beach. Plenty of space around the hotel for nice walks around Montaza Palace and what is left of Montaza Gardens. There is also on demand golf cars to take you around Montaza for a fee. All rooms have sea view. Good wifi coverage even on the beach. There is a nice restaurant (Zanilli) next door with live music on Saturdays.

Difficult to arrange transportation ( taxi or UBER) out of the hotel because of Montaza entrance regulations. Hotel does not have limousine service but there is a shuttle bus to take you to Montaza gate where you can get a taxi or UBER. Beach is good but needs active cleaning from plastic trash left by guests. Breakfast is ok but lacks fresh juice/ choice of cheese, etc.

The hotel is located in the Montazah garden area, a true oasis in Alexandria, we got a lovely room on the Higher floors and could see the Beaufitul King Farouk palace right from our balcony, not to forget the marvellous sea view, especially at sunset. The hotel is also near the Tea Island and one can get there by the free shuttle service offered by the hotel, its location is truly beautiful and highly recommended for someone looking to see the Palace, the sea and Tea island. The Montazah garden area is truly exquisite and we enjoyed taking a night stroll, the area is very safe and you can enjoy the marvellous sea view.

We had a two nights stay over a weekend. The hotel is immaculate. It has a prime location overseeing the sea inside almontaza gardens. The place is clean and luxurious. The staff are helpful and professional. The breakfast is of good value and has a great variety between continental and oriental options. We had a room with seaside view which was more than amazing. The hotel has a small private beach, yet the water wasn't the cleanest. The hotel has a shuttle service which you can call to get you to and from the main almonzata gate, as otherwise it's a 15 minutes walk to the gate. The hotel will otherwise provide an entry permit to almontaza gardens, so don't pay a ticket at the main gate. Overall, we had an amazing stay and will indeed come back again when we visit Alexandria in the future.

The pillows were uncomfortable

The experience at Helnan hotel Palace was truly exceptional. Staying at this hotel made us feel detached from the present, offering a tranquil haven of peace, serenity and a picturesque view. Our room was spacious, clean and with a balcony where we spend most of the time, the bed and pillows was comfortable too. The staff in the hotel were exceptional, they made sure we have the best view and comfort during our stay. We didn't get the chance to try their restaurants though. We'd surely stay again at this hotel on our next visit to Alexandria.

the hotel has an excellent location and a spacious parking areas. there is a shuttle bus that takes you to Montaza gate and you could also call them to send it to pick you up the staff were very professional and friendly. the guest relations call you every day to ask you if every thing is alright The breakfast was very good my kids liked it very much, there are several options that meet most of tastes.

you cannot not switch off the terrace light rooms with pool view may suffer noise from other beaches such as Mamoura. the ones with palace view are better for those who need quietness

Great hospitality, loved the staff and service. The Birthday cake surprise for my mom was a beautiful gesture. The rooms are lovely and clean. What a great hotel to stay in. My mum and I tried the aroma massage, which was so good and relaxing. The beach area is one of the good spots in Alexandria that felt like a pool with no waves.

If you want to go out of al montazah area it is quite far from the gates to the main road of Alexandria but they have a shuttle service all the time. the beach is shared and so close to another private club, but it's okay we enjoyed it. Take care of the price we booked through booking with no breakfast, but when we went there we found that with the same price the hotel offered the room with breakfast, so make sure to call the hotel and know the rate before you book online.

The hotel is on the sea directly and is well-isolated from the noise outside of the Montazah Gardens as it is far from the gates. We chose the "Sea and Montazah Palace" view. We liked it much more than the alternative "Sea, Beach and Montazah Gardens" view. Our room was in the middle and on the 6th floor which gave us an excellent mix of viewing the sea and the palace. There is also a nice lighthouse on right side of the view. The room was good and had a really wide and comfortable double bed and included sitting chairs both inside the room and on the terrace, a large TV with OSN channels, a considerably wide terrace, and a desk. The glass fence on the terrace does not block any part of the view. The housekeeping team was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The young waitress at the breakfast restaurant was also very decent and cooperative. There are a lot of excellent places to take photos both inside and outside the hotel. We added an extra night to our reservation.
