The hotel is close to everything - the city centre, the train station, the harbour. The ladies at the reception are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and there was everything needed in the bathroom. I was really surprised of the quality of the hotel :) i felt like in a 4 star hotel. Thank you! :)

Sometimes you could hear your neighbours taking a shower but I was so happy with the rest of the hotel amenities that it didn’t influence my overall perceptions :)

Good location 5 mins to station and close to the rest of town. Room has been refurbished and is very comfortable. Soundproofing, comfy bed and big bathroom basin, handy for washing. Lots of power points around the room as well as USB-A and USB-C charging ports on both sides of the bed. The lady on reception was very welcoming.

I arrived early and just wanted to store my luggage until check-in time but the girl on duty kept telling me I couldn’t check in. Not a great welcome but it could be due to the language barrier. Weirdly, you have to keep pushing in the hair dryer plug for it to work so with one hand on the plug and the other on the dryer it’s a bit inconvenient. But this is minor.

Hôtel Continental is located centrally within the main shopping streets and very close to the old town, the old harbour and the new ferry harbour. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We could park our rental car in the street outside the hotel (payable) but the hotel also offers a private parking at a rate of EUR 10/day.

The facilities are clean and the rooms adequately equipped, but the cushions are too hard and we would have appreciated additional cushions to choose from in the room.

We liked the property very much. It is very clean, the towels are changed every day and they have very nice shampoo and body gel with smell of jasmine and bergamot, almost like five stars hotel. The position is central, very closed to the train and bus station. This was important to us as we took the train from Bastia to Ajaccio. You can also do a long walk to the Arinella beach, it takes less than hour by foot. The breakfast was very good, nice big croissants and brioche.

The hotel personell was super friendly and nice. On the first night when we arrived all the restaurants were already closed, and we had not eaten due to out travel. The lady at the reception helped us a lot by providing us with bread, cheese and meat that was meant for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing and the roomservice was very clean and tidy!

There is nothing that comes to mind.

Ideal location, within walking distance of the centre of the old village with its splendid architecture and myriad of restaurants to choose from. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel building is stunning, with marble staircases, bathrooms and wall murals that add that special touch.

This is not a "didn't like", but rather a heads up for other travellers. There is no lift, so you will need to climb a number of stairs to get to your room with luggage. Help is on hand though from staff if you need it.

I thought the staff at Hotel Continental were outstanding, so friendly and helpful, and always greeted you with a smile. The breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect if you are coming or going by Ferry because you can walk there from the terminal.

Good location for exploring the old port. We arrived late and were able to find a restaurant open nearby. The receptionist was extremely helpful. Real fast was very good. Worth the 14 e

No alternate to bright overhead lights for reading at the bedside. No good air movement in the room so we had to open the window which had a lot of street noise.

Great central location for both bus and train stations and ferry terminal. Loads of cafes, bars, restaurant and shops all on the door step. Great quiet air-con.

Only small downside was the distance between the shower tray and toilet, a real ‘toe stubber’ if you weren’t careful. Very petty issue really.

Very nice staff, helpful and attentive at the reception and during breakfast. The breakfast was good quality, except for the coffee machine that was also used for hot tea water. it was lukewarm. Everything else looked fresh, tasty and there was plenty. Location is great between ferry port and train station.

The rooms are small, but as we were only for one night in Bastia, all fine.
