We had such a wonderful week here! The location is incredible, and the staff so attentive. We made use of the fantastic tours, visiting the three Gilis, and two temples (Mayura and Langsur) in Mataram. The spa is exceptional value, and a must if you want to enjoy various relaxing treatments. One of our favourite things was the delivery of a bedtime story and cookies - such a nice touch! We felt so looked after from start to finish, and couldn’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for a bit of luxury in stunning surroundings.

Honestly, there’s nothing we’d add here. Just all round fantastic!

This is a beautiful, small resort staffed by the most friendly locals. We booked a sunset room so had views straight onto the sea. The room was beautifully decorated with a fabulous bathroom. Hotel is just steps away from the beach and some great snorkelling; the sea is tidal and would recommend water shoes at low tide as you are close to coral. we ate every night at the hotel (although you can wonder to neighbouring hotels or get a very cheap taxi into Sengiggi), including the barbecue evening where we had the most wonderful mahi-mahi. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We would definitely return and book exactly the same room -218.

Sudamala was perfect for a relaxing week in Lombok. Everything you need is provided and activities are on the doorstep. The staff are friendly and welcoming and enjoy getting to know you.

Lovely place to have a drink and food at sunset. Our room was spacious and we loved the outdoor shower. The staff were brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. Terima kasih banyak.

Fantastic resort, combined luxury with a chill atmosphere and wonderful staff. I loved every moment of it, the food, the pool, the staff, location, gardens ...just everything was wonderful.

The property is nice and small but even when full it feels there is plenty of room for everyone. The thing that made this place special for us was the staff, I did not feel well when I arrived and the staff did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. The chief is fantastic and came out each night to talk with all the clients. The food was also fantastic. We also enjoyed the spa which was great value too. Our pool villa was amazing, clean comfortable and luxurious. I really want to go back!

The only thing that was a shame has nothing to do with the property. Locals would come along the beach and pester you to buy their goods. They were not allowed on the property but had every right to be on the beach.

Sudamala is a boutique, beachfront property right at the edge of the water in Senggigi. Now, Senggigi isn't your white-sand and lots of it kind of beach. So if that's what you're looking for, you might be better off looking at resorts in South Lombok. But if you want some quiet time, with excellent staff and attention to detail, then Sudamala is for you. We traveled with our kid (2 year old) for 4 nights. The sea-facing room really did have a great view. We went in the rains, but could tell that in summer, sunsets, and a view of Bali's volcanic mountain would be stunning. The bathroom, with a mix of indoor shower and an outdoor bathtub, was stunning. The staff exceeded in their care and attention to detail. For our anniversary, we had booked a special dinner; and they went out of their way to set up a canopied table with candle lights and flowers. The meal was a 5-course dinner, customised because I don't eat seafood. Even when after two courses, we had to put a v tired child to bed, they were completely accommodating, and brought us our main course after a good 40 mins' break: still completely hot and fresh. The food was excellent; especially all the local dishes. Do note this is a small resort, so don't expect multiple big pools, or activities for kids. But our toddler likes staring at waves, picking up flowers and leaves, so it was fine for us.

-The resort had low occupancy during monsoon, so instead of the buffet breakfast, they did a la carte. The options for kids are a little limited, especially if you are looking for basic things like bananas or yoghurt or cereals. However, there is a supermarket across the road, if you want to grab supplies. -On one night, there were mosquitoes in the room, so carry a repellant or ask them to service the room with doors closed. -Senggigi isn't the prettiest of beaches; it has dark sand, the waves are rough, and the beach slopes sharply into the water.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Made us feel like we were a family. We were there for 3 nights but after the first night, most of the staff members remembered us and which room we were at. The hotel also helped us with scooter rental and everything was done swiftly and efficiently. Went for a massage session at the in-house spa which was lovely and relaxing. The views of the ocean from the restaurant and sunset bar were also extremely relaxing. We ended up having dinner at the hotel every night! Loved the bed-time story and snacks that were at our bedside every evening. Definitely the best resort during our entire trip in Lombok

We spent 4 nights in this fantastic hotel. The entire hotel area is stunning, full of greenery, and the pool and beachfront bar area are simply magical. Everything is exceptionally clean. The room is spacious and everything in it is perfect. The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable. The open bathroom was surprising at first, but we quickly got used to it. Interestingly, we didn’t encounter any insects or animals either in the bathroom or the room. The staff and services are outstanding. After several days of walking and climbing countless stairs to see the sights, we arrived at the hotel with my knee in terrible pain, which got worse the next day to the point that I couldn’t stand on it. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful — they regularly brought ice for my knee, kept checking on how I was doing, and even lent me a crutch. The hotel’s car even took my husband to a pharmacy so he could buy a bandage. Thanks to all this, my leg improved significantly by the next day and I was able to walk again. The manager and the whole team do everything to ensure the guests’ comfort. They are incredibly kind and went out of their way to meet our needs. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where everyone is so friendly and smiling — we truly spent our days here in complete happiness. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

This resort is amazing ! It certainly exceeded our expectations. It is better in real life than the pictures on the website. We booked a garden villa with a private courtyard and were so impressed with the size and layout. My husband in particular loved the outdoor shower option. Our first night we were welcomed with free cocktails and small bites. Daily there were two for one cocktails so you could sit and enjoy sunset before having dinner on the deck. The food at the restaurant is outstanding. From breakfast to poolside snacks through to evening dining, every meal presentation is outstanding. Last but not least are the amazing staff. We didn’t get the chance to thank them all personally,nor we we recall all their names but to name them individually doesn’t seem fair, as they all were some of the most dedicated and genuine people we have encountered whilst on holiday. The team are a credit to the Sudamala brand.
