I had an amazing stay! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a breathtaking view of the mountains. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, perfect for a great night’s sleep. The spa area was absolutely fantastic—everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel. But the highlight for me was the heated outdoor pool. Relaxing in warm water while admiring the snowy peaks around me was simply magical. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Bansko. Can’t wait to come back!

The only downside was that the room was too warm, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable at times.

The food had a lot of variety which we enjoyed and it was very tasty. The had "real" fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning and a lot more food options than we were used to with many natural alternatives. The shuttle buses to the sky resort were quick and came by often (every hour).

The smell in the smaller steam room was not pleasant, as well as the outside pool entrance that connected to the interior pool. I think maybe some ventilation system should alleviate the foul smelling condensation at the pool entrance. Other than that everything was perfect, thank you for a great stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel! The outstanding feature that makes it truly special, aside from the beautiful and magnetic view of the mountains, is the hotel staff—especially the breakfast team. During my stay, I had to leave for skiing at 7:30 AM and was always in a hurry for a quick coffee before heading out, as breakfast wasn’t open yet. However, one of the waitresses—whose name I wish I had caught—made me feel so welcome and encouraged me to grab a quick breakfast. She truly made the start of my day wonderful! Without a doubt, they have the best staff I’ve ever encountered in hotels across Bulgaria. The food was really good too!

I liked a lot the food, all dishes were very tasty, nothing was missing from the dinner's menu, big variety of dishes. Nice variety of breads and salads!

At dinner i would have appreciated at least a bottle of water from the house, we came with child and when asked in the 1st day a bottle of water the waiter brought us the most expensive one (we should have looked into the menu but still, i did not like the approach). Only few employees know EN language, but even like that the housekeeping staff was very helpful.

The place is nice and has all the amenities comfort wise. Rooms are spacious, and pools and steam rooms are nice too. Lots of different massages and procedures available.

Sound proofing does not exist between rooms. You can hear absolutely everything. There was no program or any entertainment other than bowling and a pool table. The piano bar was closed, and it was kind of dead. i signed up for an expensive massage and throughout the procedure the masseuse was trying to cross sell me on another procedure which I didn't want, and I probably had to say I'm not interested seven different ways which totally kills the relaxation in the massage.

Everything was perfect, spa was perfect, dinners were perfect, accommodation was perfect, staff was very very perfect. Thank you for our perfect rest. See you

Here you can’t be dissapointed

We have been visiting the hotel each year for the past 6 years and we can see how the service is evolving. I like the fact that they have added so much activities for children. There is food offered for small children as well. For adults they have included gluten free and lactose free breakfast options, which I really appreciate and enjoy as a person with health issues. The new outdoor pool has added more water space for all guests. I am really curious to see how the hotel will change and improve next time we visit :)

I would like to see gluten free and lactose free dessert for dinner, except for the fruit options. Today there are so many delicious raw cakes and rolls based on nuts and fruits from which the hotel can take ideas :)

The location is amazing. Great view. The SPA and hot water pools are awesome!

The night lights from the terrace with the sun beds light up the room windows as well. They should have some sort of reflector shades so that the light is only directed toward the terrace and not toward the room windows. That being said, the curtains did their job. The terrace/sun beds side audio system needs a bit of work. It's great when the music comes only from the pool bar, but too loud when the music comes from the speakers on the front side of the terrace. As you have a SPA and pools, it would be useful to have a mini laundry rail on the balcony / in the room (for winter and the rooms without a balcony) to dry the bath robes and swimming suits. It would be great to have more English TV channels.

I did not know what to expect, funnily enough this was our first visit to Katarino - I did check the rating and found it really hard to believe. However, they do deliver on that promise. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff goes the extra mile of making guests feel great.

The hotel is in need of renovation. And rooms will benefit from a better organization of space - three adults /my son is already in our age group/ in a suite felt really crowded and we did not even have our ski outfits around.
