Quiet luxury - spacious rooms, marble bathrooms, huge balcony area with fan, AC in room, huge bed, rainforest directly before us and the sound of the river. Jazz trio at dinner on Wednesday evenings - excellent. Free shuttle to and from the centre at set times. Also easily walkable in 15 mins. Staff friendly and not intrusive.

Nothing.

Ibah is simply beautiful. It has an ancient and natural atmosphere, exactly what I was looking for, it summarises the essence of Bali. We booked the Frangipani villa with private pool, which was just amasing. I loved their environment-conscious attitude, they were only using natural materials all over the hotel. We liked the afternoon tea, the dinner and the breakfast, too. There is a magic around the place, which makes you feeling relaxed immediately. I would return any time!

The location is convenient to downtown Ubud but also tucked away and very quiet and tranquil. The grounds are a former royal residence which make it unique and unlike the modern luxury resort alternatives.

Only minor recommendation would be to update some of the bedding or room furnishings. Putting branded amenities in the bathroom would also elevate the experience a bit. Exceptional stay nonetheless but I know the Ops Manager is always looking for ways to improve! :)

The authenticity and how quiet it was from the mayhem outside the front door.

We only had one issue and that the beds covers felt damp from either the environment outside from the excellent balcony the room had or the air conditioning in the property. All our clothes felt damp by the time we left.

This was our second, longer visit to Ibah as we loved it so much the first time. Everything about the hotel, stunning gardens, delicious food and amazing staff is first rate. We highly recommend this tranquil spot to base yourself if you’re visiting Ubud. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the town, has the ridge walk and temples right next door and is surrounded by nature. As soon as you enter the hotel grounds you feel peaceful and calm..We regularly ate at the restaurant and used the pool and spa - all fabulous! We’ll definitely be back. This really is a palace in the jungle.

Ibah was an oasis of calm in the middle of a bustling city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the incredible amenities the hotel offers. The historic feel of the property makes you believe that you are living in a secret garden. I loved all the stone work, ponds, and beautiful architecture. However, there was an issue with the gecko poop. Guests are warned upfront that geckos are prevalent on the property and important creatures for the local ecosystem that help to keep away other pests like mosquitoes. But despite this positive twist on their presence, they are prone to pooping in the rooms. Each day we would find gecko poop in our villa — usually in the same general area on the floor. Our theory is it fell down from the geckos climbing in the rafters of the villa. It was annoying but luckily we were able to avoid stepping in it and the staff cleaned it up everyday. While it wasn’t that large a mass, it’s certainly not what you want to experience in your luxury stay. Despite this, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating and the pool was an amazing retreat from the heat and crowded streets of downtown Ubud. We had the pleasure to stay at Ibah during Nyepi (the Day of Silence and Bali new year). The staff did an incredible job of curating activities for guests to celebrate the day while remaining respectful of the local culture, including a buffet dinner before sundown, which was delicious. I truly appreciate all the effort the staff made — during their holiday — to cater to guests. Ibah is a wonderful hotel with great attractions close by, including the Campuhan ridge walk, which I thoroughly enjoyed walking in the mornings soon after sunrise. While the hotel is just a short distance walk to the center of town, it is also a place for relaxation and peace. The spa services were decent and the breakfast and afternoon tea were always delectable.

The breakfast was “A la carte” and you can choose from a variety of dishes. There are only about 13 rooms in the hotel so everything is quiet and very personal. The staff is very nice and smiling. The pool is gorgeous, surrounded by nature. The all design of this hotel is amazing, looks like an old temple - very special. The room is spacious with a an enormous private bathroom and vaste private balcony. The hotel is just 5-7 minutes walk from the main road where all the shops and restaurants.

The bed is really high so be careful when you step down in the morning. Otherwise everything was perfect

Beautiful location and rooms - the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in! Really friendly and attentive staff Delicious breakfast

We were surprised that we had to pay for water in the hotel room - the small bottles were also really expensive. This is the first hotel we stayed at during our travels around Bali where we didn't have water provided by the hotel.

A place of tranquility in the middle of Ubud. Amazing, helpful, thoughtful staff. Reception has kindly agreed to send my postcards. Room service was lighting every evening anti mosquito candles on the terrace. Were closing curtains and mosquito net around the bed. The territory is very green. Spacious wooden villas in traditional are clean, well equipped, great terrace. Comfortable beds. Breakfast is very tasty a la cart. Wed jazz evenings are delightful, you can order songs. Food is delicious. Pool is made of stone, surrounded by jungles beautiful and not crowded. Hotel is located close to Ubud art market and lots of restaurants.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Traditional feel and look of the property. Beautiful pool area. Yummy breakfast. Special thanks to Gede at front reception, pool side staff member and staff at restaurant.

Our room was quite a hike from reception. Walkways are cleaned from moss, however it can be a bit slippery during rainy season and as someone who has broken an ankle at home it was a bit confronting to navigate to different parts of the hotel. Also visually I would have liked less moss growing on the stone walls…
