The room was basic, but comfortable. The breakfast was very good value for money, and the staff were really helpfull and courteous. We would happily stay there again.

Not much to dislike really, unless you were back at your early, you may not get a parking spot outside tge rooms, but the pub carpark is big enough, that you should find sonething. There had obviously been a leak in the roof that had come through into our bathroom which hadn't been repaired, but that was pretty much it. One other thing, there were no drawers in our room for clothing, so we had to live out of our cases for the duration of our stay.

Large spacious building in a nice area. Great to be able to book a room at a hotel which is part of a PH. Staff were amazing, everyone was so happy and polite. Great value for money. Checked in at 19.40 hrs and restaurant still open. Advised on a 45 minute wait for food when ordered as they were so busy. Just 20 minutes later and the food arrives, piping hot and tasty. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and again the staff were exceptional. All the Food was great Value for money. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Had a great night's sleep. We really enjoyed our nights stay and would definitely recommend this hotel in a lovely part of the world.

No negatives. At £85 for a nights stay including a full English Breakfast with exceptional staff we cannot fault the stay. Yes you will get higher end accommodation, but you will not beat the value for money.

Breakfast was glasses of fresh orange juice followed very large cooked breakfast with bacon, egg, sausage, mushroom, black pudding, beans, hash brownie, tomatoes and toast. Marmalade and toast. Coffee and pot of tea. This was as much as we could eat! The room was very spacious with plenty of hanging space and a spare single bed as well as our enormous double. Tea and coffee and a kettle supplied in the the room.

Whilst we were staying there for 5 nights, we had a very large wedding and a funeral reception. These were quite noisy but not unwelcome and they did not affect our sleep so they were quite acceptable. The Sunday night quiz was a laugh and we met several friend and relations there.

Room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Lots of parking. We ate in the restaurant and both enjoyed our meals. Didn't have breakfast.

A couple of things need attention. Finding the Reception was difficult. It was actually at the end of a bar with only a little sign above - confusing, yes? I received numerous communications about signing on line - to save time - but it didn't as you still had to sign in on a document and leave the room key on departure! Also the offers for food vouchers were pointless as, we were told, you would lose any money unspent.

We've stayed here about 5 times and always felt comfortable. I like the residents lounge which is cosy. The pub is nice and spacious with a very good menu. Staff are very helpful., polite and friendly. The room was nice and airy which had a king size bed. Nice big car park with a smaller one near the entrance to the rooms and lounge.

On some previous visits we've had biscuits in the room which I feel is a nice complimentary touch. At 5am my husband was woken by a large banging and whining noise which lasted 10 mins which could have been the lift. This will not put us off staying here again. Otherwise no negatives

The fact that the hotel was adjoining the pub but completely seperate. Being able to eat GREAT food very good prices & have a drink without having to worry about getting back to our hotel. We could book our breakfast before we checked in & choose a time we wanted to eat.The breakfast was AMAZING! The room was very spacious & had a really comfy huge bed!! There was a lift even though it was only 2 floors! EVERYTHING was so clean & tidy ,well kept & the staff were SO friendly, helpful,polite & efficient.

We found the room had more than we expected for what we paid. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was exceptional with a good variety of options on offer. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were very welcome while watching tele. Also the hair dryer was very handy for my wife. It was also very handy being able to eat in the pub without having to find somewhere at late notice with a very wide choice of meals. We would not hesitate stopping here again.

There was nothing not to like for us. Very Happy overnight stay for a venue we had attended.

The welcome from the staff. They were always helpful, polite and efficient. The room was very clean and neat and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Fresh milk was given when asked for and it was not a problem. The jazz gig in the function room was superb and greatly enjoyed that evening. The fish and chip meal in the evening was fantastic value.

The baguette with the soup at lunchtime was undercooked and not crispy or crusty as we had imagined it would be. There were no biscuits with the tea making facilities but they were not greatly missed as the fish and chip meal that evening was huge.

Breakfast was excellent! The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Particularly KAY who was second to none, making my stay a pleasure there is a very large carpark and a large comfortable restaurant in the hotel, also easy drive into Chesterfield plus a good bus service, plenty to see and visit, shall will look forward to staying there again. Nothing could have been any better!! Just a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed for one night whilst attending a friend's 50th birthday party. We had a lovely welcome from the lady on reception, all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The room was large, very clean and very comfortable, the bed was massive and also very comfy. We'd definitely stay again.

Not a grumble, but the walls did seem a bit thin, so we could hear other guests moving around.
