The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Tea and Coffee making facilities were available. We booked for breakfast which was lovely, you could choose what you wanted off breakfast menu or have fixed breakfast, plenty of choice with cereals, juice, toast, croissant's, and fruit, may have been other things but I didn't inspect as had cooked. We could not hear any noise from the pub although they had a singer on. The restaurant food was lovely, young lady serving us was lovely, the food was not over priced and the bar staff were friendly.

I booked disabled room as have back issues and other problems, The bathroom was big but a commode type seat was provided for extra height for toilet, I did not like the idea of having to use this and it was also narrow and I'm a large lady!. It would have been better to have a proper higher toilet (which we have at home) as the toilet was a too low for me. The shower area was not completely clean and the door handle looked like it had been put on numerous times. This would not put us off re booking but I think it would be helpful for some to know in advance.

The location was perfect for us. With a bus stop outside, it was perfect for a trip to Stratford and a theatre matinee. All rooms are accessed from within the hotel, so no damp walk across the car park. There was table service for breakfast which was freshly cooked to order. The new ‘wok’ menu, in addition to traditional pub food, Indian and Thai, provided a good choice. We found the staff particularly pleasant. Our room had all we needed for a short stay and, staying mid week at least, we found it quiet.

Although the restaurant had clearly been refurbished, the furniture in our room would have benefitted from a coat of varnish. There were some creaky floorboards which meant we were aware of other guests moving around even when not behaving noisily.

The location is simply perfect, situated on the outskirts of Birmingham, making it easy to reach while also providing a quiet atmosphere. The room was exceptionally comfortable, equipped with all the essentials, and offered a lovely view of the garden. The heating system worked efficiently, warming up the room very quickly. I must commend the staff, who were incredibly helpful and kind, especially when I needed to arrange a last-minute video call in their very stylish breakfast room/bar. Overall, my stay was delightful, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat near Birmingham.

The bathroom could benefit from a refresh.

The bedroom was really nice and tidy, the reception staff was super lovely and even offered help carrying in our bags from the car

The bathroom could have been better… when we first got in we found silver fish and then the shower head was broken (leaking water everywhere and some of the jets was broken so it would be blasting out water) and then our shower kept flooding if we used a high pressure of water so to stop it from flooding we had to shower with basically a dribble of water also would have been nice to have a bin in the bathroom

Staff all excellent, happy hour a bonus, good food and nice location (except the complete sausages nailing their cars /bikes as they go past, bless) Price OK Shower powerful enough but took a while for hot water to come through.

Kitchen extract outside room window meant cooking smells blow in. Starts up around 0630 and switches off around 2130, not too noisy but constant. Floodlight at the rear on all night shone into the room, strategic curtain folding required to keep the light out as it also reflected off the mirror.

Seeing some of the reviews after I stopped, may have put me have however...let's put a few things into perspective. I was only doing a one night stay, the room was around £40-£50 cheaper than other accommodation I stay in the area. I have stayed in worse places and paid more. I had a standard double room which was clean quite possibly recently painted, well away from the function room so quiet. Yes there was a little noise from adjoining rooms but certainly no more than you would get in the likes of big chains like TL and PI. The bed was comfortable and clean so no issues here. The night we stayed they had three team members visible covering the bar and restaurant as well as reception. We were uncertain whether the bell was working, until we later sat in the bar and heard how annoying it was for the team when it was pressed repeatedly (sorry guys) Luke was friendly and helpful and the bar staff likewise. The only downside for us was down to a group of other customers who after eating their whole meal complained. In fairness been close enough to hear what was going on I thought the resolution was fair, but they got louder and more obnoxious towards the staff who remained calm and polite throughout. Even to the extent of apologising to other customers for the disruption. So for us, the friendly welcome pleasant evening and value for money scores this a top mark...

Lovely location, very helpful and friendly staff, the food is amazing, homecooked indian, thai and pizza's made to an amazing standard and at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is lovely with a good choice of food. Another review said that you have to pay for parking but this was not true in our case, just type your number plate in at reception and it's included. We can't wait to return!

The only negative is that our Bathroom was a little tired, but don't worry it's clean.

The hotel has a very cosy vibe which i’m a large fan of. Bed was very comfy, sadly didn’t get to try any of the food but it looked very nice.

Basically the only thing that could be improved is the addition of a fridge. As this was a trip I didn’t have too much money for I wasn’t able to get food at the bar or out everyday so had to settle with my own, and without a fridge this eliminated a lot of options so had to basically settle with just noodles. (😂)

Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. Reasonably priced Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Kept the restaurant open late for us as were late arriving after a long journey. Wish we could have stayed longer to appreciate the hotel a little longer.

Bathrooms were a little dated and the drainage in the shower was very slow and we feared would overflow. Beds were slightly uncomfortable for some of the party, others thought they were fine, maybe the luck of the draw

Stayed one night and apart from duvet incident it was a great stay, ticked all our boxes - pleasant room with plenty of space, and very clean. Our room was on front of hotel near the road but even the noise of traffic didn't ruin our sleep. Dinner was bloody lovely, well presented and very hot. Throughly enjoyed our stay, especially the food. Breakfast was very nice, and tasty. Buffet style so could have a much as you liked, staff refilled regularly and were very helpful, I personally don't like black mugs and on asking for a white one, I was bought one out with no fuss.

Dirty duvet, could see a blood stain through duvet cover, promptly changed after speaking to housekeeping, who gave us a drink each for the inconvenience. Shower could do with a proper scrub on tiles tbh but didn't spoil the fantastic shower itself, great water pressure....
