Welcoming and friendly staff. Dinner in the evening was excellent. Interesting little hotel with huge potential. It's described as being quirky which is referring to the interior styling, and unusual it certainly is. Not to my taste, I found it all a bit random, but didn't have an issue with it, although I would imagine some guests might.
Breakfast wasn't up to the standard of dinner but ok. Cereal left out in its boxes for guests to help themselves isn't very good, and i didn't particularly like being served by the owner still in his pyjamas. I get the relaxed vibe thing but that's too friendly.

Great place to stay! Brian was really friendly and welcoming. The restaurant and bar zone was decorated beautifully, rooms were also in vintage style. At night it was warm, and even in the bathroom there was a heater to give more comfort. It was nice to have dinner in the evening, and breakfast in the morning at the White House, without needing to search for a place.
I can't really complain since the building is old (built in 1800) and it's mentioned in a description, but the floors are a bit noisy in the rooms. Also I prefer beds that are more hard, but it can be just personal preferences.

The hotel is located 10 minutes easy walk from Sennybridge. It is nicely decorated in a very individual style and the rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Breakfast was good. The only downside was that during the first half of the week when we were staying the evening menu is limited and the restaurant is only open 6-7pm. The bar shuts at 8:30. I believe there is a more extensive menu Thursday to Saturday and Sunday lunchtime. We found a decent pub in the village which does good food instead.

Absolutely lovely accommodation! We arrived and the views were beautiful when we walked in we were greeted immediately by the lovely friendly couple who run it. The room was lovely (the bed was SO comfortable!) and we felt welcomed immediately! The bar/restaurant were great and everyone was so helpful in directions to the Brecon Beacons (the reason for our stay) the breakfast the next morning was lovely and honestly… we didn’t want to leave! I would 100% recommended this property to anyone and would visit again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you both so much for making our weekend lovely x
Everything was perfect :)

My bedroom was undergoing upgrading at the time of my visit, but the facilities in that room were outstanding. Downstairs, this hotel boasts three separate dining areas, decorated in the most unique style offering guests the chance to enjoy pre dinner drinks in a bar area, then a move to the dining area with the option of taking coffee or drinks back to the relaxing bar area. It felt far more like dinner at a very affluent friend’s house than dining at a hotel. Service was friendly and helpful, the menu offered some outstanding choices, and the food was excellent. I rarely eat dessert, but the Eton Mess was amongst the best I have tasted. The third dining area? Well if you want to experience breakfast in an airy conservatory, surrounded by a life sized model of a baby giraffe (I kid you not) and other exotic animals surrounded by displays of exquisite china, then it’s well worth booking in and staying for breakfast. And yes, the china on which meals was served would not have looked out of place in an upmarket antique shop. So on the outskirts of Sennybridge lies what I can only describe as an upmarket dining club with rooms for guests. It has to be experienced!

Breakfast was really good, the owners were absolutely brilliant and so accommodating. Room had a lot of cobwebs and the vinyl that was on the bathroom walls and bath needs replacing. Found the hotel very full of stuff it felt cluttered could do with a clean out.
Generally needs a bit of TLC and rooms a good clean

Our large dog-friendly room was clean and warm but dated as it had yet to be remnovated. It has a kettle, tea-making items and a TV. At the time wec stayed (a Wednesday night) the hotel had few staff so the bar and restaurant were not open. The owner recommended a small pub about half a mile away for food and refreshment (The Usk and Railway). This was a very pleasant pub within the town. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent.
We stayed because the hotel advertised a bar meaning one of us did not have to drive. We do understand thev diifculties of recruiting staff in small rural communities. We will return to this hotel in the future, but would hope the bar is able to be open.

We loved the personal touches and the quirky decor. It was a very happy place and the hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, dining in the restaurant and sitting in the lounge/bar for drinks/relaxation afterwards. The breakfast was delicious. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We didn’t know how to use the coffee machine in the room but we weren’t expecting it nor bothered by it anyway.

This is a lovely hotel a few minutes walk from the village of Sennybridge. On Fridays and Saturdays you have the benefit of a restaurant and bar. The rest of the week you need to get your drinks and food in the local village where there a three or four pubs with restaurants. The hotel and rooms are full of an eclectic collection of ephemera which are fun and quirky. The hosts were great and very helpful. We stayed in winter (October) and it rained all the time, but when the sun is out the outside grounds looked like they would be lovely
For the money you could not do better so little to not like. The TV was amazingly compact (never knew you could TV's so small!) but the remote was broken so it was mildly frustrating to keep getting up to change the TV programme. That however is not something to worry about and if its a concern then you might be better off in a Holiday Inn!

Loved the homely atmosphere, good food and staff that were so welcoming. Felt like being at home, not in a hotel. Nothing too much trouble. Quirky layout and decorations added to the unique style.
Occasional loud motorbikes on main road near hotel disturbing the peace. Would have loved their restaurant to be open on a Sunday evening.
