We stayed in this wonderful accommodation for two nights at the beginning of December. And what can I say? During our entire tour of South Africa, this was one of our best accommodations. And I'm not exaggerating. We felt incredibly comfortable from the second we arrived. We had the Sugarbird room and the view of the sea left us speechless. We even saw whales from our balcony. The room was also large, extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The Internet also worked perfectly - we have had completely different experiences in other hotels in South Africa. In the evening we had a "nightcap" in our room. What a great idea! The breakfast was also very tasty and all the staff were very friendly. You can walk to a breathtaking beach in about 5 minutes and to Hermanus by car in about 10 minutes. There are also restaurants within walking distance. We give the accommodation an unreserved 10/10 and will definitely be back. I can more than recommend it.

This hotel is a true gem! Right on the beautiful Grotto Beach it is a slice of paradise. We stayed in the beautiful Southern Right Suite, and a suite is is!! The sliding glass doors open to the beach, the breakfast is served on the terrace with views in the beautiful garden. In the evening you enter your room to a burning fire and sit with a sherry watching the fire and listening to the waves. In walking distance is a nice restaurant you can walk to on the beach. The pool is small, but heated and adds up to the perfect experience.

Attractive modern style with large rooms and lots of open interconnecting spaces that guests can use with nice sheltered open pool. It is also a short walk to the stunning Grotto beach for some walking, kite surfing or swimming.there is also a great coast walk or run. There is an excellent beachside cafe restaurant and easy walk, or very short drive away with excellent seafood and beach vibe. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful.

We adored the Southern Right Suite and will definitely book this wonderful accommodation again should we return to Hermanus. What a balcony and what a view over the expanse that is Grotto Beach. Swimming pool area was lovely and common parts fabulous. Breakfast was superb and service top notch with wonderful caring staff.

The heavy wooden blinds in both rooms need some attention. Otherwise perfect.

The hotel is in a beautiful position and the southern right suite is fantastic with perfect sea views! We only stayed one night and that was our biggest regret. Easily could of enjoyed another 2 nights. The room is huge. The fireplace a nice touch.The bathroom impressive. The view from the large window was perfect for whale watching. The breakfast was fantastic. Staff great. Everything was perfect!!

Nothing. I wish we had booked longer

Visiting during the winter season we can imagine how wonderful it would be here in the hot summer. Now we enjoyed the roaring fire in the guest sitting room and lovely views of the sea and Grotto Beach. Our room was superb and we even woke up to whales splashing in the sea right outside our balcony. Breakfast was delicious too

The room was a bit chilly but it wasn’t the hotel’s fault as Loadshedding meant that all electricity went off for a couple of hours as did the heating

Mosselberg on Grotto Beach is an absolutely stunning place to stay, with breathtaking views of the ocean and exceptional service that makes you feel truly pampered. We were thrilled to be greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne for our honeymoon, which was a lovely touch that made our stay even more special. Overall, our experience at Mosselberg on Grotto Beach was exceptional, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in this beautiful part of the world.

The location is amazing and the size of the room that we had was vast....breakfast was excellent and the staff very,very helpful

the mattress was very soft (almost collapsing)and memory foam so very hot...it would be good to know the loadshedding times every day...whilst there is back up for the basic lights etc guests should know when they cannot use the kettle, hairdryer etc

The location is great - just along the coast from Hermanus but within a short walk from a fantastic beach. The architecture and style of the property is stunning. The staff were all great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We only booked one night here but wished we had booked more so will be returning.

We were disappointed to hear that the hotel restaurant was not open for evening meals but the manager Wayne was very helpful in sorting us out with a meal as there are some local restaurants that do take aways

We had a wonderful stay as part of our honeymoon. The suite and views were beautiful and we were very well looked after by James and Wayne. The beach is a very short walk away and absolutely stunning. We would definitely recommend staying here.
