The breakfast was very good. The location is great - right next to Northern Michigan University and on a main street with nice restaurants and fun shops. Parking was easy and convenient and the staff was very helpful and informative about how things worked. There is coffee in the lobby with free granola bars and cookies and a little shop where you can purchase convenient food items. The room has a coffee maker, a microwave and a fridge. This was perfect for our stay in Marquette. We also really liked Marquette.

As someone with a background in architecture, interior design, and hospitality management—and having lived in multiple countries—I was genuinely impressed by this hotel. It's clear that the management team is highly professional and well-versed in hotel operations. The interior design reflects thoughtful planning: although the space limits a full wet-dry separation in the bathroom, the ceiling has been treated with sound-absorbing materials, which is a rare and refined touch. Sound insulation is also well-handled in both the room and the windows, creating a quiet and restful atmosphere. The attention to detail and branding is impeccable—from the fridge's quiet low-power mode to the air conditioning's silent performance, everything is designed with the guest’s comfort in mind. Unlike the traditionally large hotel rooms in the U.S., this room is more compact but far more refined and deliberate in its layout. Discovering such a high-quality hotel in a small town was a pleasant surprise—it reminded me of the high-end hotel standards typically found in major cities in China or Switzerland.

The hot breakfast selection was satisfying, offering a great way to start the day, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Another standout feature is the availability of free on-site parking, which adds even more convenience to an already excellent stay. Overall, this hotel excels in service, comfort, and location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I recently had broken my leg and was walking very slowly with a cane. There was heavy snow during my stay and the hotel staff shoved snow so I could park my car near the entrance to my room. They also carried my suitcase to my room and from my room to my car the next morning. The free breakfast was outstanding with a wide selection of meat, eggs, waffles, bagels, muffins, and cereals. Whenever I return to Marquette, this is where I will stay..!!

We really enjoyed our stay! Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, good breakfast options, location was great and can walk easily to downtown and having a sauna to use was very nice! This was our first time staying here and will definitely stay again!

One minor thing we didn't like was the door to the shower and door to the bathroom. They do not stay open on their own, and there were no kind of door stop to use for them.

Everyone on staff was wonderful. Offered to help even if it wasn’t their job. Breakfast offering was better than other equivalent hotels. Being on 3rd St - a great street to walk up and pop into coffee shops, gift places or cafes - made this a great location. King bed was good enough. Marquette is a great mid-size town.

Nothing really. Some mattresses are better, but we slept OK.

Only place I want to stay when I come into marquette now such a great friendly staff including megan or how she spells it so helpful funny and made sure all was taken care of for me. Quiet clean and I only Want a corner room on the 3rd floor it's the best and amenities are wonderful for my first time definitely will be back. I was in room 317 and the staff made sure I had clean bedding towels and did a great job getting the rooms ready

We loved our stay. The hotel staff is great and assisted us with our questions. The breakfast was superb! They also have a lobby area with TV that was great for us to spend the night with the family. And we loved the surprise they did for us, as we were celebrating a new baby upcoming.

The common areas are super clean, and the breakfast room and lobby were also super clean. You need to request housekeeping in advance if you want to have the room cleaned.

It was very comfortable and clean and made for a very restful night after a long drive. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The location was exactly where we needed to be. And then there was the included breakfast- definitely a highlight of the stay.

Nothing. It was exactly what their website said and it met all our expectations. It’s a little pricey but on par for the rest of the hotels in the area at the time. So we can’t even complain about that.

The location is awesome - you're looking at campus and there's plenty within walking distance for food. The room was clean and comfortable. They didn't clutter it up with coffee service, which is offered in the lobby 24/7. Breakfast was decent, there were actually healthier choices I'd eat at home (Greek yogurt bar instead of a bunch of sugary yoplait), plus more filling and traditional options that appealed to my spouse. The very best feature of Superior Stay was the staff. Friendly, personable, helpful, with informed recommendations...they had an awesome staff each shift.

I was excited to see so many tea options in the lobby and I was super disappointed to find most of them were caffeinated. I would have appreciated a wider variety of herbal teas.
