Classic motel not too far from Marquette. Lobby is basic but well kept. Plenty of parking & quiet at night. Upper floor room was spacious, a bit worn but mostly in good repair. Breakfast is very basic, but offered good local coffee. No adverse smells in the room. Fridge in the room was clean and fairly large.

Vending machines were all non-functional. Sink outside bathroom had a broken drain plug that caused it to set closed unless manually opened. Breakfast is light on hot food options. Beds are both extra pillowy as well as somewhat hard after hours of sleeping.

it was simple designed and easy to get around. the room was ok enough. the staff was friendly enough to help with the stuff I needed, and thw breakfast was ok enough even if very simple.

the beds were hard, I prefer softer but that's a personal gripe. It's kinda easy to see how old some parts are, thw coffee machine was filled wirh dust, and one of the dresser drawers was broken where it kept sliding open on its own even if we didn't touch it at all.

Location was perfect, right in the middle of all the sites we wanted to see and only a few minutes drive from most of them. It was off season so less people and less traffic. Being located across from the lake with a walking path was prefect for us to take our dog for a stroll. Staff was very friendly, always onsite, and very understanding of our delayed check in time of midnight.

Outside door to our building did not latch close so anyone could have walked in. Room had a little musky smell to it when we got there and when we turned the heater on it smelled like cigarettes, weather was unexpectedly cool but not freezing so we were able to open the windows to let in some fresh air and just leave the heater off and still be comfortable. Breakfast options minimal and usually already picked through if not gone by 8:30-9am which was a bummer traveling with our kid.

Location is awesome, great view of Lake Superior but convenient to everything. If you are traveling with pups, this is your kind of place. They are truly pet friendly, wonderful vibe, everyone is very relaxed and no one gets spun up about stupid stuff.

The staff was exceptional with the exception of one individual. I won't name names but I just like to give credit to the folks that are deserving. The hospitality industry is not an easy one to work in. They have to deal with some folks that run the gamut of high maintenance to downright unreasonable and the majority of the staff at the Econolodge rose to the occasion.

Good location, It was in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. Staff was just as friendly as they were on previous stay.

The room was a little dusty but other than that it was pretty clean. There was only two pillows and no comforter on each bed, just one thin blanket and sheet compared to when we stayed before. We do bring our own blanket when traveling and room wasn’t to cold so it did work out.

Good price. Easy to find. Clean.

The pet fee online was advertised for $10 per pet. When checked in I was told $25 fee for dog. When I said online fee was lower. The higher fee was waved. When we travel again, will not stay if have to pay 1/3 of the price that two adults pay for a 14# dog. People ruin it for others because they can't or won't train their dogs. Ours has had every level of training available. Thank you for asking what I didn't like.

Basic breakfast. Oatmeal, eggs/cheese, toast, juice. Coffee and tea available 24/7. Receptionist recommendation for places to eat and see. Provided maps. Casino perks, if gambling is your thing. Easy on and off highway. Walking path across he highway.

Roadway between the hotel and the lake. So, lakeview with poles, wires, and cars. Request a second floor if lake viewing is important.

There were little egg omelets with cheese. I am unable to eat just carb as my blood sugar crashes.

Towels a bit small and were rough. Bed s seemed a bit small for a queen. Could have been my perception. No elevator. I use a cane and can do stairs but getting luggage upstairs could be hard without my husband.

easy access and only a very short drive into the main portion of Marquette. Overall it was a quiet, clean facility and parking is good.

The breakfast WAS VERY BAD! Very small selection. There were NOT any hot foods. Just white bread... NO bagles to make toast. No cream cheese, just a few selections of jam/jelly. A few sweet rolls. NEEDS to be improved!

Everything was good but the location made this top notch … unbeatable especially at the price. Loved walking along the bike trail. Want to come back with my bike sometime.

I don’t like the sink outside the toilette room. It feels unclean. The bathrooms should b enlarged to include the sink.
