Staff is professional, pleasant, and accommodating. The room was large, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast is always out early and shut down a little late. BRK has name brand food and several options and a variety of condiments like individual GIF peanut butter packets or individual Philadelphia cream cheese packet. The hotel location is right in-between downtown and the business spur. Which makes it quick and easy to get to. We were on an extended stay and the housekeepers always checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The grounds are very clean. I saw a gentleman litterally sweeping the walkwYs and the parking areas.

Honestly, I don't have one complaint. I normally could come up with at least one if not 10, at most places but, at Value Host, I literally do not have one thing I did not like.

The location was ideal for my one night stay and across the street from a good diner. Another plus. The room was spacious and clean and quiet. Front desk person was helpful and welcoming.

Toilet flapper did not seal properly so that the toilet would run for a short time frequently. I went in and pressed it down and it stopped. I later noticed that I had left black smudges on the toilet cover and the sink from where I touched the flapper. Also I couldn't figure out how to make the tv work.

It was surprisingly good for the value…was able to grab some quick snacks and a hot coffee before we began our excursions.

Bathroom shower was small…it was good for me but a bigger person like my partner found it a bit cumbersome. There was no adequate lighting by the bed for reading which I thought was odd but we made due. Otherwise the room was big and comfortable and clean…should have more pillows they were small and not enough of them.

They had a complimentary breakfast. The room was nice and roomy for just myself. There was even a recliner in the room. Not that comfortable but it would be nice for those who can't sleep in beds. Staff was friendly. They were repainting and I was right where they were, so that's why I didn't give them a 10. If I didn't feel in the way walking out the side door it would have been an excellent stay. Definitely worth the price I paid!

I always appreciate being close to an exit door to make it easier to bring bags in. Due to them repainting, I had to walk by them and I felt like I was in the way loading my stuff up. Thank goodness he was patching and not repainting. I would recommend that next time certain areas that are being worked on is avoided by guests. I would have been upset to get paint on my bags in case it brushed up against the wall. I don't have a rolling bag. Just duffle bags.

After booking with BOOKING.COM the BIG GENTLEMEN WITH THE GOTEE AND GLASSES charged me again for the room!! However I'm always one step ahead of them and contacted Capital One when he ask me for my credit card when Booking.com confirmed my reservations. They have now lost a guest for life!!!

Is located on a main road (41) so you have many restaurants and stores close by; 10 minutes from downtown Marquette. We went on a road trip around Michigan and this was one of the hotel we stayed in for two nights. Is a good place to stay for the money, it is clean, staff were nice and even-tough the furniture is a little old, beds are comfy, it is quiet and we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely would stay in this hotel again if I ever come back to the UP.

The only problem was the toilet handle broke off, it was the night before checking out, so it was late for the maintenance guy to come and fix. I honestly did not mind and I told the person at the front desk that since we were leaving next morning they can fix it next day. I understand that things break down.

breakfast was good/adequate, considering room rates doubled on weekends, feel like could have upped game on these days. road noises didn't bother me overly much, but additional plantings would help.

need more seating in breakfast room, I would turn coffee machine and juice machine to face kitchen area to allow for this.

Location of the facility was perfect for our needs. The building is a bit dated but seems to be maintained pretty well. We really liked the size of our King suite; we stayed two nights, and the added space was really nice.

The shower in our room had tool long of a shower curtain and too low of a shower head. Anyone 6' or over would really be uncomfortable with the height of the shower head and the weird capsule type top above the tub. Otherwise, bathroom was clean and very good for the price point. Didn't care too much for the breakfast, coffee was acceptable.

Really really clean, great breakfast bar, friendly staff. They were most accomodating to our needs for an easy entrance due to my father’s knees. This is also located right off the highway and has some businesses (full on grocery store etc.) within walking distance. Great value for the price.

Nothing special. Oatmeal. Granola bars. Coffee at 7am But I was grateful for it all.

The entrances are on the inside of the motel rather than opening to the parking lot and your car. This was not a great problem. You can hear the traffic coming from the road. The motel is on a hill above a major intersection upon entering Marquette. Some when car with no muffler came to a stop at the traffic light and then resumed , it was audible. Lots of folks do not have mufflers on their cars in the UP. It did quiet down later in the evening as traffic subsided. It did not interfere with my sleep but it was an annoying, repetitive sound while traffic was happening.
