A beautiful location on a mountain with nice view. The staff are very friendly, speak good English, and are always helpful. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly every day. The shuttle service to the beaches is very ideal, and the 420 Club Koh Phangan restaurant, just a five-minute walk away, is highly recommended.

The big downside is the pool. It’s very outdated and really unsafe. Tiles come loose and flip up when you walk on them, and mosaic pieces at the entrance break off into the water. Our kids ended up with bad cuts, even with a piece stuck in a foot; lots of blood, stress and difficult recovery afterwards. Instead of building new houses, the owner should first fix the pool. It may not attract more guests, but it will at least ensure safety and prevent accidents and injuries. A pool in this condition is completely unacceptable. It puts guests at serious risk, and an owner who allows this should not even be running a hotel.

Accommodation, as always, was great.

I do think a little love and affection can be given to the pool area. I think the pool shower, the existing pool bar (even if it doesn't actually function as a pool bar) and garden area needs to be cleaned up nicely. I definitely would not shower in the pool shower because its just dirty. It will make a big difference if all is cleaned up. Also, it's important that the pool umbrellas are put up daily. (During my 6 days, it was a lottery if there was an umbrella or not). Nothing is always perfect, but my accommodation (room U24) was great! My ratings are always based on the price of my room.

I stayed in the simple wide room with a balcony and also in a more expensive cabin with a view. The simple one was much lovely, as it is big and comfortable. In the cabin the bathroom is less comfortable, although it is new. The staff were amazing, very nice, informative and kind. The pool and view is beautiful, breakfast options are nice. Location is a bit secluded as it is on the top of the mountain, but this is a plus for me, as I don't like the crowded area for sleep, only to hang out. If you have a scooter, it's the best place to stay. I drove throughout the island and had the time of my life in this healing island.

since it's on top of the mountain, it is scarry a bit to ride the scooter down hill and up hill every time that I left the hotel and return, but I overcome the fear and did it! :)

There is nothing to fault about this accommodation. The staff are incredible - some of the friendliest most helpful people I've ever met! Every day you get a fantastic breakfast with stunning views over the ocean. The amenities are fantastic; there's a beautiful pool and a coworking place on site where you can order nice coffee. Every day they offer a free shuttle service to local beaches which is fantastic and they also go above and beyond to collect you from other places too (for a small charge). We have nothing but good things to say about Utopia and hope we can return again soon!

Tranquil location, with beautiful views. It feels undiscovered and a bit of an oasis of calm. The views from our sea view room were perfect. Food was reasonably priced and very good quality as was the buffet breakfast with freshly cooked options. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Laundry costs were reasonable. We were visiting for the snorkelling nearby, however after one visit to the bay beneath the resort we only swam there - some of the best corals we have seen in Thailand, with green turtles and many fish. Bit of a walk down but well worth the effort

The outdoor shower was unusual but not a problem

The staff is beyond amazing!! Everyone is absolutely incredible. We’ve taken everyone (and especially Nienie) in our hearts. They all made us feel so welcomed and right at home. The view is breathtaking and the pool is very nice (you can actually have a proper swim even if you’re tall). It’s possible to rent a motorbike right at the resort which is super convenient. The motorbikes were all in a very good condition as well. The rooms are very spacious and all have a little terrace in front. TV has streaming services and there’s very good wifi in the room as well. Again I can’t emphasise enough how much we loved this place. Incredible!

The view on the ocean from some rooms & the restaurant is one of the most beautiful on the island. There is also the option to have breakfast on your own balcony (depending on capacity), which makes it even more relaxing to start the day. There is also a daily free shuttle to some nearby beaches, which helps if you don't want to rent stuff.

We ordered room service for some fresh towels, but we had to ask for it multiple times. Also on the last day we waited for our breakfast more than one hour, which lead to the problem that we had to leave after ordering it. Happy end to this was, that they brought it in take away boxes to our room, so that we could have it when we had time/on the road. The last major thing is that there exists a path to the ocean, but in order to get in the water you have to go over sharp rocks. I only recommend this for experienced people, since getting out with waves splashing you against them is highly dangerous.

We took a spa room, it was superb, we spent all our spare time here watching Koh Tao and Sail Rock and all the boats inbetween, especially at night. Food and staff were great. Pool was nice although we didn't use it much as was out and about. You can rent scooters from the hotel, in really good condition and good price. Sunsets at Club420 next door are brilliant, went there twice. Shuttle bus to beaches is free although we used a scooter instead. A really beautiful part of the island too. The staff warn you about mosquitos and they are in the trees below but we never saw any when in the room or around. Some videos coming soon on YouTube 66TripsLeft.

The only downside for me was the snorkelling. It's a fair trek down but ok for us mid-50s people, but when we got to the bottom it was low tide and whilst easy to jump in there wasn't an exit point that didn't involve barnacles. At high tide it would probably be fine. After getting out - scratched up - we faced the gauntlett of marching back up quickly as it was mosquito alley, our own fault, we didn't take lotion and it had washed off.

Beautiful resort. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room, spacious and had everything we needed, the pictures definitely do not do this place justice. There is also a handy restaurant on the resort and the staff are very helpful. Also wow, the view is amazing.

The only thing that this property lacks is a perfect location. You HAVE to ride a bike if you want to get around Koh Phangan and stay here at the same time, the hills and location make it impossible to walk anywhere.

We have visited the accommodation 4 times already, and it still offers an excellent value for money. We stayed in the bungalows with a mountain view. The rooms were tidy, and the towels were changed daily. The breakfast was excellent, though it became a bit monotonous after 3 days. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. Unfortunately, due to extremely bad weather during our stay, we did not use the pool.

The only downside of this romantic resort is the untidy surroundings around the bungalows.
