I recently visited Casa Mariposa Guesthouse, and I am delighted to share my excellent opinion about this charming place. It is not just an apartment; it is a true haven for travelers seeking a unique experience. First and foremost, the location is amazing. Casa Mariposa is situated in a picturesque area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing for a truly relaxing stay. The view from the apartment is breathtaking, and the surrounding nature creates an unforgettable landscape. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and maintained to a high standard. The spacious rooms are comfortable, and every detail of the interior has been carefully chosen, giving the place a distinctive character. The incredibly friendly and professional owners, who were always ready to help and provide tips on local attractions, added charm to my stay. Our stay at Casa Mariposa Guesthouse was amazing! We stayed in Junior Suite which was just perfect. The room was fantastic: it had a comfortable super king bed with luxurious bedding. There was a small fridge which was filled with complimentary wines, soft drinks and waters. There was a crystal decanter of brandy in the room with a note saying "help yourself". The television in the room had a full comprehensive package of channels to view, including Sky Movies, Sports, TV series etc. Excellent fast Wi-Fi. The room was comfortable at night with black out blinds, quiet ceiling fan and air conditioning if needed. The dressing room was very spacious and had beach towels, extra pillows, cushions and throws to use on our private terrace. The private terrace had two lovely sun loungers and a table and chairs to relax on. The views looking towards the sea were simply stunning. There was a large blind which covered the terrace to provide some much needed shade. Our en-suite was gorgeous, with a beautiful vanity unit, mirror and a huge walk in shower unit. There was complimentary shower gel and soap and a very good hairdryer to use. I particularly liked the matching gowns. The whole of the accommodation is very tasteful and of a high standard. The general feel is very sleek but homely. The breakfast area and terrace, faces the south of the property and is warm and welcoming. There is a breakfast menu to chose from to suit your individual requirements. We chose the continental and were very satisfied with the offerings. In particular, there was homemade bread and fresh croissants. So lovely to relax in a quiet and secluded environment, listening only to the local birds. It was a great start to the day. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Their communication was excellent. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the local area and Tenerife as a whole. It was very useful to communicate via WhatsApp and send us recommended restaurants and places of...

Our stay was too short. We would have liked to have used the top terraces more as it was so lovely to relax in the amazing jacuzzi and watch the stars at night. The views are breath taking. We also enjoyed the other terrace to sit and take some shade. Use of the utility area is allowed and was useful for laundry. We loved the selection of coffees and appreciated the complimentary use of the jacuzzi. Thank you.

perfect ! :) ..till today I dream about Tenerife :) My stay in the Junior Suite was amazing. The room had everything I needed and was prestine clean. There were many luxuries such as mini bar, bath robes, fluffy towels, toiletries, new very confortable large double bed....amazing good bed! :) The television was excellent with numerous channels. The complimentary decanter of brandy was a lovely addition. As a cyclist, I was able to leave my bike securely. There are lots of good routes to cycle. Rent a bike in freemotion shop and very nice guide Massimo and Thomas. The facilities are excellent, I had my own private balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The views are stunning and the area is very peaceful and enables you to relax. Kerry and Dean are very good hosts and try to accommodate all your needs. They are very knowledgeable about Tenerife and neighbouring islands....and good restaurants!:) Aldo there are two sunbeds with table for morning coffee on terace, beautifull sunrise and sun sets, great views of ocean and moutains, very nice weather 28 -29 degrees, amazing Teide mountain hiking, but good to rent a car to reach each part of Tenerife. Casa Mariposa have very good position from where you can go everywhere. Overall, my stay here was excellent and I would definitely like to come back here.

Kerry and Dean are lovely people with a warm heart and they want to give their guests a great experience. The jacuzzi is amazing. I highly recommend reserving it at sunset, it will be a wonderful experience. Also the village San Juan is close by, and wonderful. There are some house rules that keep everything structured such as not bringing food in and drying towels on the drying rack. Everything is sparkling clean, and if you have a question Kerry is always available on WhatsApp and happy to help where possible.

Lovely hosts, very confortable matress, everything pristine clean and new, loved the roof top jacuzzi (had a bubbly session while watching the starry sky at night)! Liked the confortable huge bathroom. Good price for accomodation.

The position of the accomodation if you don't have a car. 30 min walk till the bus stop for going to the beaches. The idea of a shared bathroom, but we didn't really feel it, especially as it was pristine clean all the time. Room was a bit small but good and cozy.

Room was very clean, also bathroom. One evening the owner cooked amazing private dinner for us. Watching the sunset from the hot thub after all day hikeing was perfect! If you don't want to be in place that has conquered by tourist this is your place!

Kerry & Dean are awesome hosts. The reception was really nice, the house & rooms are clean and there is even a Jacuzzi to relax in. The best part was: they made me feel like I was part of their home. Chatting with me, giving tips for sightseeing and checking in how I was doing (when I got back home). Meanwhile also arranging breakfast, putting drinks for me in the fridge and so much more. Very highly recommended!

Very friendly hosts that help you with recommendations. Room and shared bath are very clean. Cozy.

You hear a bit noises from the other rooms and there are no shops and restaurants close by. You need a car

Very quiet, very comfortable bed, lovely hosts. I always feel a bit awkward to be in someone else's home but Kerry and Dean enabled us to feel relaxed as they carried on with their lives yet being available to our questions and needs and always friendly/. Kerry is a really good cook and did a yummy meal for us one night. Kerry could also provide breakfast if required Playa San Juan is a great beach for swimming sandy, pebbly at waters edge. Loved the local feel, all ages mix of nationalities, palm trees for shade, lots of choice of restaurants. Mainly apartments locally owned shops no hotels. One day we took a bus to Los Gigantes from Piedra Hincada and spent the afternoon walking back to Playa San Juan. Stopping at cafes and a swim at the lovely town of Alcala along the way. Another day as a result of Dean's suggestion we had a great walk, 5.6 mile circuit up into the pine forest from the northern end of Chio only 15minute taxi ride from Piedra Hincada the village that Casa Mariposa is in, with views of Mount Tiede also enjoyed the flora of the area which manages to grow on the volcanic rock. We had already stayed in other parts of Tenerife but Casa Mariposa is close to the motorway and only an hour from Icod to see the 800 year old dragon tree or historical town of Garachico in the North or Santa Cruz the capital to visit the museum of archaeology or botanical gardens

My husband did not like to walk back the 2 mile walk 650ft descent to beach 1 mile of which is by a main road but there are buses and personally I think a 40 minute walk is not a big deal as we all need to exercise. Everything about Casa Mariposa was good. The room was not big but we had use of 2 terraces which have great views and there was a fridge and some bowls and cutlery so were able to do our own breakfast.

Rooms were comfortable and breakfast is available, if you wish, with a varied menus. The location is very convenient for many places, out of the tourist main paths, for beaches and very good restaurants in the nearby villages. Kerry and Dean gave us a great welcome and we felt very much at home.

the 2 rooms share 1 big bathroom. If you go there like us, 3 friends, there is no problem in sharing the bathroom. If you take only 1 room and have to share the bathroom with unknow guests, is not so comfortable
