Welcoming facility one block from the beach. We had a room overlooking the back with charming rooftops. Quiet with church bells ringing but not too loud. Well laid out room. Comfy bed, nice pillows. Clean room. Staff was very welcoming and courteous. Small library in lobby area with lots of books on very interesting history, literature, architecture. We spent one evening there relaxing and reflecting on our visit. Breakfast was plentiful. Typical yogurt, breads, cheese, ham, jams, good sheep cheese! Soft boiled egg upon request. Lots of tourist brochures, and magazines, in several languages in lobby. I recommend a stay here for a warm comfortable welcome in this charming town.

Thoughtfully and attentively managed, this gem of a hotel has lovely rooms furnished with antiques on a quiet street only a short walk to beach. The breakfast provided with a fee was a standout, with a very diverse buffet and typically French, served on a beautiful patio with excellent coffees of choice served by one of the proprietors. There is a comfortable and homey reading area with small library adjecent to the check in desk. They even had an on-site parking space, (with a pay garage nearby in case that is full.)

We could find nothing to criticize.

We loved this nice little boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of St Jean de Luz. The location is excellent, a very short walk to the beachfront and to bars, restaurants, shops and sights in the old town. Our room was small, but comfortable and well appointed with a very comfortable big bed, desk, modern bathroom and two closets. Wifi and AC worked well, and it was nice to have an elevator for getting luggage in/out. The hotel also has a sitting room and honesty bar (we appreciated being able to use the wine glasses in the evening). It was very quiet, although we faced the front street (a small side street without much/any traffic). The hosts/sfaff were very nice and helpful – including providing us with a beach umbrella and beach towels to use. Breakfast was served out in the pretty little back garden area, with a choice of breads, cereals, fruit, and eggs if desired. We would definitely stay here again.

Traditional hotel with atmosphere. Good size room and bathroom, functional but a little old-fashioned. Our room overlooked a quiet courtyard. Cozy lounge. Good continental breakfast. Excellent location by the centre of St Jean de Luz, just off the beach. The hotel has a lift, useful when travelling with a lot a luggage.

The hotel is not suitable for hosting families with noisy children. Avoid during school holidays. Parking is not on site. Access can be tricky through narrow streets. Reception closes at 19:00 pm

Such a great hotel with lovely staff. The location is perfect to see the city, only 200 meters from the beach. Notoce: not every room has an air conditioning. Frédéric from the hotel was nice enough to contact us and ask if we wanted to upgrade to a room with air conditioning, as there was a heatwave going on in France. The room and the hotel was very beautiful and comfortable. Strong recommendation.

Warm peaceful atmosphere. Could see the sea from our room. Good location to the beach, shops and restaurants. Good breakfast, nice little walled garden where you could have breakfast, weather permitting, which unfortunately was not an option while we were there. Staff very friendly from front of house to staff working behind the scenes, chambermaid etc.

Fresh orange juice would have been nice but hey not a deal breaker.

A very charming and quaint hotel. Very clean room, quite small but perfect for a couple. Tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries were a bonus. Location was perfect, a short walk to the town, to the beach and to the station. The continental breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel and rooms were very nicely decorated and well presented. A friendly reception on arrival. Plenty of wardrobe space and it’s always useful to have a room safe. The rooms were compact but well organised and nicely equipped. Also a very good shower. There was a pleasant breakfast area and despite a limited choice it was all very good quality.

As a group of 4 it would have been useful to have a lounge area to spend some time together. Only 2 coffee pods and 2 teabags were supplied for a 2 night stay. It would have been good to have them refreshed but we had to pay 50 cents per pod. The hair dryer lacks a little power for a quick turnaround.

Attractive decor mixing old and new. Lovely ambience in the small lounge area with free tea and interesting local books. Near the beach. Very friendly reception. There is an enclosed courtyard area for sitting too.

Electric sockets were not convenient. Reception goes off at 7pm but that was made clear and key access worked fine.

Location is great. Only 50 mtr from the sea front and you can hear the waves at night. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was upgraded from a single to double more spacious room, which was a very nice surprise! Thank you.

Very strong scent in the room when entering but nothing that could not be fixed by opening the window for a while.
