This is bare-bones. Clean, excellent shampoo, conditioner & toiletries. The safe was not large enough for a 15" laptop, however it was fine for small valuables. There was not a desk, so I made do sitting on a bench with the laptop on the bed. The fridge was actually cold, unlike most hotels. Like other Italian hotels, the thermostat was underpowered -- could not cool the room well.

I was in the penthouse -- lots of stairs! Lots. Lacking a desk, I set up my office in the spare bedroom. The rafters are low and you will hit your head many times if you use this particular room. The safe could be larger, but my laptop was not stolen as it was left on a bed. There is a maid service, which I don't want, but they come anyway.

Great location, short walk to the Castle, many cafes and restaurants nearby. Great staff: special thanks to Helena and Licia (reception), they were helpful and competent, nothing was much trouble to them. A very special thanks to Rachel (hotel’s cafe). She took an exceptional care of us during breakfast and prepared lactose-free pastry for my wife! Housekeeping did a great job during our stay, our room was very clean.

There were some issues with the shower cabin: the plastic sealing was falling off and water spilling on the floor.

Recently renovated hotel, modern rooms, good location walking distance from everything, safe indoor parking garage, good breakfast. Good location to visit Emilia Romagna.

The airconditioning wasn’t working as this was early April, and turning it on apparently required having it checked and validated, which we were told would take several days. It did not work for the four days we were there. Should only happen once a year, but still unfortunate.

We have stayed here many times. The last time before this we had a less than stellar experience and the room we had was priced considerably higher. When we found this room at a much lower rate we decided to give the hotel another try. On this, our most recent visit, we had a smaller room and found it to be much better. For us (we come to Ferrara for my medical treatments) the hotel is a great location and we will return here.

Room was comfortable as was the bed and bath.

We stay here all the time when we are in Ferrara for medical treatments. We like the proximity of the hotel for our needs and find that the breakfast offerings are very good. We still mourn the day when restaurants gave up making homemade cappuccino (for the machine variety which is never good -- "progress"?) so ...be forewarned.

The heat provided in the bathrooms are woefully inadequate for taking a comfortable shower.

excellent breakfast buffet included, fridge, big safe, aircon (cold), gym, 16 min walk from train, 9.20 euro in taxi, nice med sized room, single bed-nice staff – 24 hr reception---staff exceptionally nice.

Silly thing, but the shampoo is in a squeeze bottle that cannot be easily squeezed unless you are a very strong man, but not by a small older woman like me. They need to be changed!

Breakfast here is always very, very good. Ample selection of breakfast choices, always fresh and pretty high quality.

Many restaurants in hotels that offer breakfast have gone to coffee making machines. They are ALL terrible and this one is now exception. I wish the hotels (this one included)would go back to making homemade cappuccino and espresso.

Excellent location, spacious rooms, wonderful views from 4th floor onwards. Breakfast Buffet with good selection, Kind and helpful staff. Garage available (not without complications, though - see below)

Some items of the breakfast buffet were not top quality: Scrambled eggs made from egg-powder, juices more like coloured sugar water. Also, no warning before buffet closure to give guests last chance to serve themselves. Garage access through elevator with necessary staff assistance, a major hindrance to frequent in-and-outs.

Excellent, rich breakfast with great variety of both sweet and savoury meals, fresh fruit and delicious pastry. Quite spacious room (since it is in the city centre). Big bed with high-quality pillows. English speaking and friendly staff. The best location for sightseeing!

Shower/bathroom could be better (no shelf for cosmetics, broken hooks, no ventilation).

We were greeted by a happy receptionist, all the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was good, with a good choice. Situation of the hotel was excellent, easy to get to with their own car park. Overall this was a great hotel and situated in the heart of Ferrara.

Nothing, all was good!
