This was my second time here and I brought a friend. We both had different rooms, 7 and 9. Again, I was super happy. I love it here and it's close to everything and the price literally cannot be beat. So, to address some other reviewers (because I almost didn't stay first time due to some reviews). Yes, the bedrooms don't have alternative seating unless you have a kitchen or deck, you just have the bed. No, the cabin isn't new and fancy but it's cozy and motel like. It's the experience of being in the woods. There is zero chance you will get your own little cabin, walking distance to town, for under $100. So, stay here! They are super nice. If you're a very picky or a posh person, then pay $250-400 a night for a cabin and stop complaining. This is a mountain town. Doors don't line up, the paints not new and there are going to be bugs now and again. Yes, it snows, deal with the parking or stay home. There are a ton of parking spots when not snowing . The beds are super comfy and if you book a king room, the beds are massive! 10 stars. It has all you need, if you're not a twerp.

#9 was like sleeping on a cloud. So nice to wake up to a little “fire” in the fireplace and have a cup of coffee on the deck. Watching the squirrels and birds was beautiful. The fridge was cold, the breakfast table was nice, the cooking and eating supplies were excellent. I liked the amber lightbulbs weren’t too bright because they added to the charm. the TV was excellent, I just loaded up my apps and watched all my favorite stuff. I did use the hotspot from my phone though because the WiFi wasn’t good. The bathroom was adequate, the water got plenty hot and I enjoyed the sprayer 😃 The parking was very convenient. Room 9 is hidden so it really felt private and rustic and just how a cabin should feel. There’s plenty of kitschy time shares but sometimes I just like a simple place where things are good and no one bothers you. The location is great, right near the top of the drive up and right next to a grocery store, gas station, sandwich shop, pizza place, etc It’s a great stay for a great price 10/10

The WiFi is nonexistent but I had a good data plan on my devices so not a big issue for us. There were ants but I covered the drains and kept everything clean (no trash) and problem solved. meh it’s the woods and we didn’t mind much. It’s a solid stay for a good price.

Well, this motel scored well for me in everything that really mattered but there were a lot of less important elements that it fell short on. First, the room was large and clean, locks worked, lighting and fan were fine. Didn't use the big screen TV or the fireplace but nice to have. The bed was comfortable and firm...but the bed pillows were very soft and flat. Bathroom was an adequate size, some counter space and plenty of storage space...but there was a rather old cabinet on the wall that could not fully open since the light fixture was in the way. Also no facial tissue, no soap dish. It was nice to have a kitchenette with a couple plates/bowls/wine glasses and some silverware...but no paper towels, dish towels or napkins. Only a used sponge/scotch brite to clean dishes. Balcony was large with a table and chairs...but the table was covered with heavy dust and there were no paper towels to clean it (I did not want to use the white bathroom towels for this). There was also a desk...nice to have, but the chair was worn and looked like it came from someone's former office. The price is good, the things that mattered to me were all there but that second level of amenities could use some attention. Just an honest review so you can decide what is important for your stay.

Everything, they were super nice. I stayed in room 7, but I saw room 8. Both were really great. I don't know why there are complaints. There was AC, heat, a kitchen, all the stuff you need to cook and coffee stuff. There was a table to eat. A view, everything. I'm already back for a second stay.

Family deluxe room was great! I was very pleasantly surprised. Room 5. & 6 (our neighbor) Was little 1 bedroom apartment Probably recently had drywall work done. Tile shower hot water and heater vent in every room with its own individual switch, which was perfect for my wife to have heat while In the shower bathroom and bedroom. Couch futon bring blankets and or sleeping bag. Plenty of floor space. It is a delight I would definitely stay here again, recommend to my friends. Definitely private and access to town! Big plus for me

I was unsure of what to expect… but pleasantly surprised. Product knowledge could have been more accurately described.

Did not have breakfast offered at the hotel, but several places very close by and were excellent. The room was very clean and pleasantly big for 1 bed. Loved sitting out on the private deck. Location was perfect as we were visiting family nearby.

As clean as the room was, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. However, once we opened the doors and let it air out, it was better. The WiFi was a bit spotty. There really wasn't anything else that we didn't like.

The manager is super friendly and the heater is really effective at keeping the place warm. The facilities were nice and it was like a mini airbnb but for half the price. It was right across the gas station so we were able to get snacks and water without driving in the icy dark.

The walls were really thing so the neighbors heard us and knocked on our window. Honestly, we were terrified but it was because we underestimated how thin the walls were. I also wasn't sure if the windows had locked for sure but when I tried, it was pretty hard to pull open.

The motel was in a great location when visiting big bear or Lake Arrowhead. My wife and 3 kids loved how spacious and clean the double queen motel was. We loved how everything was in walking distance, restaurants, stores and more. The manger of the motel was amazing. We appreciate his interest in making sure that our stay was to our liking.

The door was a little difficult to lock and unlock

location was perfect. bathroom needed to be remodeled and heating needs updating or fixed. had to use temporary portable heater. I like to sleep in cold but would probably be a problem for people who likes there room warm.

it’s seemed like the caretaker “Terry” was over worked and didn’t have much help.

We really enjoyed the stay, the room was very warm and cozy.

The only complaint I would have is the room had no towels stocked, and also no hand soap. They did offer hand sanitizer however.
