Lovely room. Peaceful location. Right on the lake which was lovely to look out on. Lovely balcony.

No air conditioning and the weather was very hot. Didn’t get a good sleep due to this. Fans were provided but it circulated hot air.

Lagonita Lodge helped create some of the best family vacation memories! What an incredible location and view! There is so much to do at the lodge alone you can spend days and not even leave the premises. We had to extend our stay another day because we were having so much fun between the indoor pool, game room, fishing right next to the room and you can even rent a boat right from the hotel. I liked the fact that they give a parking permit and don't allow other vehicles to park inside, so you will always have a parking spot. The staff is incredibly friendly and spent extra time answering all my questions and when extending our stay, were very helpful to keep us in the same room (which I think is the best room there). We would love to stay at the lodge again and possibly even longer.

What's not to like about Lagonita Lodge! Liked everything about the property.

We had an excellent stay at the Lodge. We were surprised at how much space we had in the rooms and the fully equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable and being able to stretch out on two sofas felt a luxury. Good parking and good extra facilities such as the pool and recreation room. It was all in all fantastic value for money.

Small things such as the shower wash being empty upon arrival (replacement provided when asked for) and large portion coffee bags when for two people smaller ones would have been better. You do need a car to get into Big Bear Village for shops, restaurants etc.

The location of the lodge was great, but out room location was in the middle of the buildings and our views out each window were parking lots and other buildings. No lake view. The apartment itself was great, though. The whole property sits on the lake, but make SURE you request a lake or courtyard view. They have a pool table, indoor pool, and outside spa under a gazebo. The beds were very comfortable. Loved the kitchen. And it was so adorable to have so many swallow birds around! I'm a huge bird lover, so that was a highlight.

The location of our room with no nice views at all. Remember to ask for a lake or courtyard view. And be prepared to pay a $100 deposit. We didn't know about it beforehand, so it ruined our anniversary dinner, having to pay that. And a strong warning: unless you use a well-known bank debit card, like Chase, B of A, etc., it'll take WEEKS to get your deposit back. Do NOT use any prepaid or government cards.

Like a picture perfect place. We had a room with a view of the lake and it was beautiful to wake up and see the sunrise and see the sunset right in the comfort of our room. Also there are walking trails and you could go fishing all right next door. Really lovely, we had a wonderful time..The front desk staff were also very helpful and friendly. We really appreciate it and definitely want to come back.

Although super cute, our room wasn’t really the cleanest… but nothing disgusting or out of line. The carpet seemed pretty outdated and it seems like they don’t move furniture around to clean underneath or around.

Everything matched the booking information. Our stay was so comfortable from the cleanliness of the apartment, to the stocked kitchen with cookware and cleaning supplies and beautiful bathroom with luxurious towels. The main excitement was our view, as pictured in the booking, a stunning look over the lake (in winter time the tree in front had no leaves, meaning less obstruction of view which may differ per season). The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and warm. We visited the jacuzzi that was well kept and also had a wonderful view of the lake. Local bars and restaurants kept us nourished as we explored town, while sticking to a budget and cooking food we brought from home. For non-experienced hikers like ourselves, there were gorgeous and accessible trails near by. Lagonita is THE BEST option for staying at Big Bear, with privacy, quiet seclusion and tranquillity while benefiting from amenities and facilities offered.

TV's aren't intuitive, it would be helpful to have a quick guide for how to turn on and use, which we problem solved.

Overall our stay was fantastic. Rooms are always very clean. Staff is very friendly. The view is beautiful. We love how close it is to all of the shops and restaurants. Only downside was the pull out bed. It was very uncomfortable. The mattress was incredibly thin and you could feel all of the bars on your back. And maybe shampooing the carpet periodically. Our socks got very dirty walking from the room to the restroom. But overall, our stay was lovely. We will definitely be back soon.

the staff is attentive and responsive, the rooms have a beautiful view, and in winter and summer it is quiet and calm, and their fireplace and live fire in the room are just a fairy tale, I recommend booking with a wonderful view of the lake. On Fridays there is a mini buffet, as well as a wonderful skipper who conducts a wonderful and exciting excursion to Big Bear Lake. The hotel has everything you need for a barbecue, a place to cut up the caught fish, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, billiards and even a playground. I recommend!!!

H5) I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lagonita Lodge in Big Bear, and I can't say enough good things about this fantastic hotel! This was my4th visit, and it definitely won't be my last. The views of the lake are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. From the moment I arrived, the staff at Lagonita Lodge made me feel welcome and cared for. They are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Their exceptional hospitality truly enhances the overall experience and makes you feel right at home. The cleanliness of the lodge is remarkable. My room was immaculate, and the common areas were well-maintained. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping everything clean and tidy, which added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. Lagonita Lodge's location is another highlight. It’s conveniently situated for easy access to all that Big Bear has to offer, whether you're interested in hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of the lake.

Pro: We stayed at the apartment with lake view which has a beautiful full view from the balcony. The room has a heater and a gas fireplace. No a/c but don’t think you would need that. The room was clean. Even the lodge was full, it was quite. The staff was friendly. They also offer some activities for guests. Located in few min drive to many attractions. Con: Not very walkable area around the lake or to any other place. As everyone else said, the furnishing and equipment are very outdated and needs to be refurbished.
