Lovely room. Peaceful location. Right on the lake which was lovely to look out on. Lovely balcony.

No air conditioning and the weather was very hot. Didn’t get a good sleep due to this. Fans were provided but it circulated hot air.

Everything matched the booking information. Our stay was so comfortable from the cleanliness of the apartment, to the stocked kitchen with cookware and cleaning supplies and beautiful bathroom with luxurious towels. The main excitement was our view, as pictured in the booking, a stunning look over the lake (in winter time the tree in front had no leaves, meaning less obstruction of view which may differ per season). The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and warm. We visited the jacuzzi that was well kept and also had a wonderful view of the lake. Local bars and restaurants kept us nourished as we explored town, while sticking to a budget and cooking food we brought from home. For non-experienced hikers like ourselves, there were gorgeous and accessible trails near by. Lagonita is THE BEST option for staying at Big Bear, with privacy, quiet seclusion and tranquillity while benefiting from amenities and facilities offered.

TV's aren't intuitive, it would be helpful to have a quick guide for how to turn on and use, which we problem solved.

Overall our stay was fantastic. Rooms are always very clean. Staff is very friendly. The view is beautiful. We love how close it is to all of the shops and restaurants. Only downside was the pull out bed. It was very uncomfortable. The mattress was incredibly thin and you could feel all of the bars on your back. And maybe shampooing the carpet periodically. Our socks got very dirty walking from the room to the restroom. But overall, our stay was lovely. We will definitely be back soon.

H5) I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lagonita Lodge in Big Bear, and I can't say enough good things about this fantastic hotel! This was my4th visit, and it definitely won't be my last. The views of the lake are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. From the moment I arrived, the staff at Lagonita Lodge made me feel welcome and cared for. They are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Their exceptional hospitality truly enhances the overall experience and makes you feel right at home. The cleanliness of the lodge is remarkable. My room was immaculate, and the common areas were well-maintained. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping everything clean and tidy, which added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. Lagonita Lodge's location is another highlight. It’s conveniently situated for easy access to all that Big Bear has to offer, whether you're interested in hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of the lake.

Pro: We stayed at the apartment with lake view which has a beautiful full view from the balcony. The room has a heater and a gas fireplace. No a/c but don’t think you would need that. The room was clean. Even the lodge was full, it was quite. The staff was friendly. They also offer some activities for guests. Located in few min drive to many attractions. Con: Not very walkable area around the lake or to any other place. As everyone else said, the furnishing and equipment are very outdated and needs to be refurbished.

EVERYTHING!!! What a great place! We came up for s night from Palm Springs to visit friends & booked on the spur of the moment, so didn't know what to expect, but we were presently surprised! We got an adorable 1 bdrm, Lakeview & it was beautiful. They come w/a kitchen & are quit spacious! We loved our stay from beginning to end, thanks to everyone there 😊

The "ONLY" thing that could of been better.... Was the living room slider windows could have been cleaner to see that beautiful view!!! They were a lil cloudy

We were on a roadtrip and had just done 3nights in Vegas.. We were enroute to San Diego and decided to stay here for 2nights to just chill out and relax before heading onto San Diego. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.. quiet.. relaxing.. in a beautiful setting right next the the lake.. The staff were great.. our suite (227) was very clean.. spacious.. fully equipt kitchen.. comfortable couches.. and a balcony overlooking the lake.. It was perfect.

Nothing... we came to do nothing more than relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility for 2 days.. and thats exactly what we did.

Location was great. Staff was very friendly. Pool was not crowded on Fri afternoon in April. Room was large. Activities for families. We enjoyed the wine and cheese hour and the ladies who served us!

I wish check-in was earlier or check-out later, or both! It was a fast turnaround for one night for a family of five. Also, not so much the lodging, but my husband was kept awake until early morning by neighbors above him while he was trying to sleep on the pull-out couch.

We stayed in a lake-view room on the top floor over Thanksgiving Day Weekend and loved it. The room was spacious, with vaulted ceilings and a stunning view of the lake. It had a living room, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom, which was perfect for our family. Our six-year-old son slept comfortably on the sofa bed. The room had a heater, and we were glad it was already switched on when we arrived, as it was freezing outside. We also enjoyed using the fireplace during our stay. The indoor pool and spa were great. My son had a blast swimming, and the water was warm. He was also stoked about the playground and the huge game room with foosball, pool, and ping pong. The location was perfect. We were only a five-minute drive from The Village, and some restaurants were nearby. This was ideal since the traffic getting into The Village was terrible in the evenings, as it was a holiday weekend. If it weren’t so cold, we could have walked to the Azteca Grill Mexican Restaurant and Big Bear Mountain Brewery (I highly recommend both).

Our apartment and balcony had a beautiful view of Big Bear Lake. There were a few tall, thin trees in front of our balcony, but their leaves were gone because it was late fall, and we had a nice view. The resort's building next to ours had balconies with no trees in front. We liked the big gas fireplace in our living room. We also liked that the lodge was only a couple miles from Big Bear Village, where many shops and restaurants are. The resort also has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, and a nice recreation room with pool tables, ping-pong tables, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived a few hours before the 5 p.m. check-in time, so we registered at the front office and then went into town for lunch. The resort notified us by text message about 4 p.m. that our apartment was ready.

Our only nitpick about our apartment is that the central heating system was a little noisy. The sound of air flowing through the wall vents was louder than normal. It didn't ruin our stay, but it was something to mention. We didn't have any other noise problems.
