The owners and cottage are a gem! The cottage is amazing. My girlfriend and I were in the treehouse for this year’s trip. Everything is cozy, spacious, convenient, and super hospitable. The waterfall right just when you enter the room is very relaxing. The attention to detail from the decorations, bed/bathroom care, costume, appliances is superb. The stone style jacuzzi was very comfortable too. The property is well insulated so it felt cozy to sleep without needing to use the heater. Sir Gawain and Pyramis were very cuddly hanging out with us as we played card games on the loft outside!

The room was amazing it felt like it was right out of a fairytale story the view from the porch was beautiful and parking was easy to find which was convenient. We also loved how close it was the the Big Bear village so we were able to get food easily and walk around the small town.

The only issues we had was with the jacuzzi there is a suction jet that my husband and I cut ourselves in when just trying to adjust in the water it has a strong suction and it sliced his nail we were unaware to look out for this and would have liked to be aware to not hurt ourselves and hope others who are just as clumsy can be aware of this to prevent injury.

Adorable themed cabins, close to restaurants and the lake. Really loved the cat residents too! Didn't know about Sir Gawain and Pirithos until we showed up. Sir Gawain is allowed to come in the cabin and loves to cuddle on your lap. The jacuzzi tub was so nice and relaxing. We didn't use the fireplace but I imagine during the winter it would add an even more romantic atmosphere. They also have these cute twinkling Faerie lights on at night that make it even more adorable.

There were some areas that needed some serious dusting (behind the TV and the floor vents) that are easily accessible to clean but were very dusty. I would not recommend for people with severe allergies because there is no way to reach the fake tree leaves to clean them daily. Other cabins may not have this issue; ours was just the largest/had more intricate designs, which are harder to clean on a daily/weekly basis.

This was an amazing experience!! I stayed at the tree house and ut was literally out of a fairytale!! The jacuzzi was awesome as well as the view from the deck/room. Maria made our stay extra cozy and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway. We came here for our 1yr wedding anniversary and are definitely coming back!! Thanks again castlewood cottages for the amazing experience!!

The shower smelt of mold an the freezer hadn't been defrosted in a long while an we weren't allow visitors so maybe u need to change ur rules cause the price I paid for one night was ridiculous high I probably well not be back but thank u u use to care more about it cleanliness now the rooms are going down hill

I loved the themes, my goal is to experience everyone of them, it was so cozy with the fireplace and jacuzzi together in the same room....I loved that we could put on the outfits, it made the whole experience very knightly. We want to rent the treehouse next or the castle. Cheers to the owner for your creativity......you are truly very gifted. Thank you!! Already saving for our next adventure there.....we are making this place our get away from here on out.....Absolutely loved it!!!!!

I felt the firewood should of been included especially the firewood we had....it didn't burn....I think it was a little damp

The hospitality and helpfulness of the property manager was exceptional. We stayed in the Indian Forest which was a good first time experience for us. The location was also great as we were within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and water attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic (nigh literally) location; extremely cozy and perfect for a couple that's looking to get some exercise on the slopes and follow it up with some exercise a touch more horizontally.

Honestly the only problem I had was the heating unit; it functioned admirably keeping the space fully cozy, but for some reason as it cooled down and the housing contracted it would make an impressively loud bang. Came here as a surprise for my wife and it did not disappoint! The staff was great and willing to help with a few requests and the room was awesome. The staff even gave us a tour of the other themed rooms so we know what to look for during our next stay. Bring your imagination and your significant other for a cozy, romantic getaway!

The themes were great. Very good details. We loved the boutique.

Thought it was a bit pricy and then there were extra charges for wood or fire starter. All should be included for that price point. Was still a great weekend
