What I really liked - bed was super comfortable for both of us, everything worked as expected, had a full kitchen (unexpected since Booking.com listed the room as shared kitchen and refrigerator), paint and decor was really fun, there's a pool (also unexpected - Booking.com does not list it because it is seasonal), large bar with delicious drinks and a live band, games to play outside, fire pits also outside, owners were super-nice. Something to note - Booking.com does not indicate that there are very different types of rooms at Sessions. There are a few double-units which have full kitchens (what we had). There is a also a very large building with regular hotel rooms and a large community space and community kitchen. It's all pretty cool. Very fun place!

Down side unfortunately - no ceiling fans and the room got warm in the afternoon and it was only the high 70s; traffic noise was bothersome. However, we were in the front set of "double cabins" so there was nothing to block the noise. Also, the owners did provide a floor fan and they are aware of the need for ceiling fans but they need to upgrade electrical first and that is their plan.

LITERALLY EVERYTHING. This entire property is eye candy. Every single detail has been painstakingly crafted and sourced and truly executed to absolute perfection. I will only stay here when I come to Big Bear so I can get lost in the magic of this place over and over again. We had the opportunity to have Frank (one of the owners) show us around the entire property and tell us about how he and his co-owners/creators brought this dream to life. Amazing. Thank you Frank and Snoisses team/fam, you guys are absolutely KILLING IT, and we wish you nothing but great success!

If you don’t love the experience this environment cultivates, that says something about you. Not the property. Facts.

A large property that feels intimate and cozy because it's split into several different buildings. We stayed in the lodge which was comfortable and had a great lounge downstairs with a full kitchen, TVs, pool table. It's a boutique hotel with the extra amenities of a ski lodge or hostel. The decor has a really cool vibe, it's kind of quirky steampunk Victorian lounge but really comfortable. Everywhere you look there's something interesting and witty to catch your eye. The rooms are spacious so we were able to spread out all our snow gear, and the bathroom was very attractive - lovely tiles (weirdly yes, this made a difference to me!), good shower with plenty of hot water, quality shampoo and conditioner etc... The owner Frank is really nice and welcoming, and he's thought about how people want to relax and hang out so there are fire pits and tables outside. We were there in Winter but it looks like there's a nice pool there for the Summer months. I'd feel comfortable staying here on my own and chatting with the other guests, but I also think it would be perfect to go with a large group and hang out for a few days. The location is great, walking distance to a lot of restaurants, not that far from the village, and very close to Snow Summit. Compared to other hotels in Big Bear I thought the price was really good. I also really appreciated the extra quilt on the beds.

Because it's an older building the heat is not on individual controls in each room, but don't let that put you off, that's just a tiny circumstance and we were comfortable especially with extra bedding provided.

SO much better than an Airbnb. We stayed at the lodge, and even thought the room is regular size, the shared spaces were huge! Beautiful kitchen with double fridge, dishwasher and over, coffee maker and anything else you might need. Multiple sitting areas and even a pool table. The outdoors were great too, there were fire pits and BBQs readily to use.

Such an adorable style to the place. Really cute bar on-site and the shared kitchen area with fire places and pool table is so unique. This is the type of place you don’t want to leave. Cute surprises included & unique art.

The beds could be a little more comfortable and the bar staying open past 9pm would be nice. But there’s barely anything to complain about here.

Love the ambiance and vibe of this hotel. So adorable but also comfortable and convenient. Great staff and fun atmosphere.

The only downfall with this hotel is that the amenities (like pool table and bar/lounge) are shared and if they are having a private party, other guests can't use them. That was the only bummer. Otherwise, it is fantastic.

It was beautifully restored and promoted positive energy throughout The staff were all so friendly and great I felt safe traveling with my daughter!

I didn’t like the dusty (dirt from outside) on the floor but when surrounded by it I can’t see how it would be controlled It just felt off going to bed with dusty feet

Great location plenty of space. We weren’t arriving until very late due to flights but this was not a problem and had emailed instructions for entering chalet. Very accommodating.

Had a family of ants in the kitchen but they kept themselves to themselves so not a big problem!

Love the bar on site, very cool spot to hang with friends after a long day on the mountain.

Our room was very very small. We were in the lodge, which did offer the shared space and kitchen downstairs, which was nice. But if I had known the rooms were that small I maybe have just paid the extra money for the chalet room.

Love the decor/style of the units and common areas. Proximity to Snow Summit is convenient. Having a fire place is a must and was pleased it was in working order.

I would only add a few things: A cloth dish towel for units with kitchens, a full length mirror and the ability to adjust the volume on the TV. Not sure if the no volume remote is intentional or just a missing remote.
