The Staff is AMAZING always... location is outstanding and love love love they go the extra mile for the breakfast now and to help w changes or accommodations if they can. Thank you always. We always stay here .

The beds... i think they all meed to be getting new ones asap. And ...some rooms ha e No curtains and u cam see straight into the Whole room because the floor unit portable a/c tube's going out the window... NEED curtains in ALL rooms asap ... otherwise amazing.

The grounds are clean. There's a fridge & microwave. Ability to bring animals. Pool/hottub open late. HEATED POOL! In room gas fireplace

No AC. No screen on window so bugs could come in if window is cracked open. Ants were in the bathroom area, but it's summer.

Location- walking distance from places to eat. Staff- very friendly and accommodating Room design and hotel lobby- i am a sucker for vintage old homey furnitures and homes so I liked the vibe Wifi- very stable Free breakfast- continental only, no hams bacon but there are eggs. Selection and pastries are yummy and coffee is good as said by my husband who is a coffee addict Bed- wow the mattress firm. It is good for the back.

Hotel is old. Floor tiles, bathroom and walls are dated. Could go for some remodelings. Towels- scratchy. Not soft at all. But im good with it. Im not a sensitive skinned lady. Pillows are too fat. For some reason it strained my neck so I had to removed it and sleep flat on my back. The mattress is awesome though.

The staff was super helpful, particularly Bailey and it was nice waking up and drinking coffee on our own patio.

The T.V. was hard to figure out, as well as the door. It took some time to maneuver the door each time we open the door and the heater although did the job was so loud it kept us up most of the night.

I was so greatful to find this place , we checked in to a different place friday and had issues with the heater, leaking toliet which lefted a huge puddle in front of the toilet which I stepped in , in the middle of the night not pleasant. Stayed awake found black forest lodge and checked in on sat urday was wonderful, bed so comfy ,and the jacuzzi OMG was wonderful ...I give this place a 50 out of 10....WAS AWESOME

Great location. The Village and the lake were both within walking distance. I also loved having my own little balcony. The pool looked lovely, even though I didn’t use it. The coffee available and the reception area was excellent, and I loved having the ice machine so nearby my room. Room, it’s obviously enormous, with a lovely fireplace.

Crossing the very busy highway to get to the lake side. The old furnishings had their pros and cons. I loved the big desk in the room, which allowed me to do watercolour painting. On the negative side, the old thick rug was clean, but probably full of dust because I did a lot of sneezing when I came back in every evening.

The property was well kept and filled with pine trees. You felt as if you were in a little alpine village. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our cabin was perfect and was fully equipped with everything we needed to make all our meals. The best thing was the fact that it’s dog friendly! Woof Woof.

I wish all windows had curtains (kitchen did not) and the towels were a little softer.

The entire vibe was so nice, we felt very welcomed. The front desk even did little doodles of dragons on the map because I had asked for one as a surprise to my boyfriend! My boyfriend has now framed it. The hot tub was fun, the bed was comfortable, and it was in walking distance to everything. It made our first getaway as a couple very special.

I actually can't think of anything we didn't like. It was perfect for the romantic getaway we wanted.

We stayed in a spa room, the tub was amazing and huge. The bed was super comfortable, I slept 12 hours straight. The little patio was adorable! There is a little kitchen area with its own sink so we didn't have to warsh our dishes in the bathroom. But the best part is we decided to extend our stay, and we switched to a smaller room without the spa tub. But to make things easier for us, they upgraded our room back to the one we were in for free so we didn't have to switch rooms! 10/10 the best hotel I've stayed at in Big Bear so far!!!

The traffic on the road but that isn't the hotels fault. They can't help that and it's not really that bad, especially at night.

I like the welcoming front desk with coffee and cocoa and the room was very comfortable. Especially the big chair! Fireplace in room was very nice and loved having bball court and pool right next to us. And free breakfast. Would stay again.

The coffee didn't match the coffee maker in the room and when I got it to work, it tasted really bad. Undrinkably terrible. Good thing the front desk had some:) Coffee is important to me because I needs it and I loves it.
