I was not aware it was going to be self check in , so arriving from Australia after a long flight ( with no data or ease to call on our phone ) I had to go over to the restaurant across the street and a VERY friendly guy called on our behalf and got the auto check-in details for us , Great guy , I offered him $10 for the phone call and help , but he wouldn't accept it . For my gratitude I recommend their restaurant ( Azteca Grill Mexican restaurant )

This was my first visit to Big Bear Lake. I received a text from the resort during my drive, advising that my room was ready, no in-office check-in necessary, and a code was provided to unlock the door to my cabin. Very efficient process. My room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the TV and lights were on when I arrived (per said text, acknowledging that those items are in working order). The kitchenette met my needs, I brought my own dishes, and there was a fireplace and an electric fireplace (neither of which I used). Water pressure is low, and I suspect this is one reason the pool and spa remain empty. Not an issue for me, as I didn't intend to use those.

I'll bring ice cube trays next time (the room mini-fridge did have a small freezer space). I walked to the office to ask about ice and found no one there, even though the office was open. I called and was advised to purchase ice at the deli across the street. I had no issue with no-contact check-in/out, but some folks might not be comfortable with that. I did receive immediate response to my check-out text, so staff is reachable, just not in-person.

Our room was on top of the office, even though we had a king size bed. It would squeak a lot, not only that but our room was close to other rooms and we can hear them coming in and out but other than that, it was good. I’ll try to get a cabin or our next trip. They also open a restaurant and the food is great. We even had a chance to meet the owner, which is very nice.

We got a cabin with bedroom, living room with fireplace. small kitchen, and bath for $40 a night off season. It was clean comfortable, and the check in and out was by phone, and no hassle. They give you a phone number to call if you have a problem.

You just need to be aware this is not a real resort, and there are no ongoing services. You do not get maid service or any service for that matter while you are there. More like an Airbnb. We did not get the text to check us in, my fault. Alexander was watching the cameras while he worked, saw us wandering around, ran over, and fixed our problem. Super nice guy. Not really anything we didn't like:}

What we liked from the property was the kitchen.

What we didn’t like from the property was the couches weren’t that good, beds are not comfortable, it need more tv in the rooms, there was no one to contact or staff there, we had to clean up are trash and do the beds which isn’t fair, the check in was so late and the checkout was to early.

Big Bear is a beautiful area. Hiking, fishing much to see. Loved the little cabin with the private spa and fireplace. Had everything needed for our stay. Has air conditioner (not used) and wall heater worked great in small cabin to keep the chill off. Responsive management via text. Quiet retreat during the week...gets busy during the weekend. Awesome price via booking.com.

Tile floors although nice, could use throw rugs. Bathroom tub/shower needs anti-slip. Tiny ant issue, however you are in the country.

I thought what I got for the price was great. I loved the look of the units and how they are all separate. The location is good - not far from Big Bear Lake and the Village. There’s a mini-market/liquor store almost across the street, so I was able to get ingredients to make my own meals. The kitchen was very handy. The staff person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom, particularly the shower, was very tiny in the room I stayed in. Some towel rods would be helpful to have in the bathroom.

We stayed in room 7 for my birthday it was super comfortable and clean. Had basic essentials so we didn’t have to bring much which I super appreciate. The owner is amazing and super friendly will definitely be coming back whenever we visit big bear again, the area is super family oriented has a big play set for kids and a huge parking area to skate an have fun. My stay was so phenomenal we booked for a second night

There was nothing I didn’t like about it

This place is the nicest one i have stayed at in Big Bear City!! The cabins are SO CLEAN! They have all you need. The kitches has pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, Coffee machina, microwave EVERYTHING. A big refrigerator a stove etc. The bathroom is very clean and has plenty of towels. The beds are clean and comfi. The atmósfera at the place is very nice. The staff helped me so much! They are really nice and polite. The

It was a great stay. We came up early and we were able to check in almost 3 hours before check in. Self check in, super easy. Heater, tv and jacuzzi on and ready for us.parked right in front of cabin. Close to everything needed. Definitely going back

The only thing was when we used the microwave, the fuse switch popped . So we had to turn off the heater before we used it .
