This was our first trip to Big Bear, I was very careful in choosing our place of stay. I saw the photo and realized that this is it… . Stylish, compact, comfortable and cozy. Contactless check-in is a feature of this complex. The interior is thought out to the smallest detail, each house has its own name and charm. The lake is not far away, shops too, and most importantly, silence. I am very glad that I did not make a mistake with the choice. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

I was not sure if the place was going to be good based on the price I paid which felt like a steal. But the place did have excellent reviews, so I was willing to take a chance. I can manage if the place was not as expected, but with my family, I would not hear the end of it if it was not good. But really, the place exceeded my expectations. I like the retro look on the inside with every room curated to perfection. All systems worked great and most importantly the place was exceptionally clean. Also for a family of 4, we had the cabin to ourselves with a dedicated parking spot. So overall, the place is highly recommended.

The lights could have been a little brighter, but I am assuming it was deliberately kept a little dim to go with the retro vibe. Also every room had someone's portrait and my kids were scared of the grumpy old lady's portrait in the upstairs bathroom. The running joke was that she has seen too many nasty butts in that bathroom! :-)) But maybe it's better to have a more pleasant portrait there. The chairs for the dining table were also old and creaky, so I was basically scared to sit on them as I was worried they may break. Otherwise everything else was great!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The property was well-maintained, and beautifully surrounded by nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with smooth check-in and friendly communication throughout. One small suggestion: we were hoping to find at least one king-size bed in the master bedrooms for added comfort. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely recommend it!

I wish we could give this stay a million stars! We stayed in Joseph's Hut. Check-in was very easy. There isn't someone on property to check you in, so they give you a code to enter your cabin. And that's it! There's a quaint, enclosed patio that my kids loved playing in, making snowmen. The cabin was extremely inviting, they had it heated with ambient music playing when we entered. The whole space was meticulously clean, and we loved they had a section for our boots in the front entry. The downstairs was spacious for our family of 4, and we loved having the kitchen area. There's a full bathroom downstairs that was perfect/accessible for hanging our snow gear. A favorite of ours in the downstairs was the fireplace. Upstairs, the bedrooms were large with ample space for suitcases and personal belongings. The bedspread was to die for. My husband has requested I call and ask where they bought their pillows and blankets they were that comfortable. There was a half bathroom for the two bedrooms to share. I know this is random, but all 4 of us were obsessed with the toilet paper. For the location on property we loved that we were centrally located right across from the common area/shared space that had a BBQ, hammock, and seating. Since we went in the winter, we used the area to have a snowball fight. I loved that the adults could be inside and watch the kids play outside too. For the location in town, for our family it was too far to walk because we have younger children. I could see you be able to walk, but it wasn't an option for us. It wasn't a big deal at all to just drive into the village. We loved that we weren't directly in town, and that it was quiet and tranquil at our cabin. We felt safe our entire stay. Check out was super easy, just load everything up, and lock the door. Our kids have begged for us to come back. They said it's been their favorite vacation we've been on (beating out Hawaii!).

These are minute, and just me giving feedback. I wish check-out was just 1 hour later, 10am felt a little early. I wish that they provided paper towels or a kitchen towel in the kitchen.

Our cabin (#4 Joes Tavern) was so devine and sweet. We absolutely LOVED the decor, in retro finishes and custom themes. The kitchenette had everything we needed, and loved the half-sized fridge and freeze (not full, nor mini). The 2 bedroom 1.5 bath cabin was a great value for the price!! The beds were comfy and cozy. The parking space provided could easily hold 2 cars in tandem. The automated doors were good. I didn't mind not having any staff onsite, as the cabin seemed to have everything we needed for our short 2-day stay. Overall all, LOVED i!! So much better than a hotel for less cost. Minor suggestions would be to have a bit of storage or small tables in the baths for your sundries (no place to put your overnight bathroom bag), and dressers in the bedrooms for clothing and places to put things. I would suggest adding 2 more dining chairs, as the kitchen / dining table only had 2 chairs, and is advertised space for 4 people. All easy fixes. I HIGHLY recommend. We will be back and try a different unit to experience the unique decor.

Everything was amazing! The cabin is great, very clean, and smells wonderful. Everything is organized at the highest level. We’re absolutely delighted and will definitely come back again. We’ve already recommended this place to our friends. The design is fantastic, especially the second-floor bathroom with the frogs. Overall, nothing but positive emotions and impressions. Keep up the great work — you’ve got new regular guests now!

Clean, spacious and comfortable. Perfect location. The check in and out was easy and the people we communicated with were very helpful and efficient.

No stove. The Microwave was inside the lower cabinet in the kitchen and the plates and cups too. They were in front of the kitchen table which made using them a bit awkward and uncomfortable. The full bathroom is downstairs so to take a shower, you need to carry all your things down the stairs.

Excellent little cabins! We stayed in Fran’s Flat, my girlfriend nearly died at how cute and well decorated to the period the interior was. It was a great little place to come back to after a day out on the lake.

There is no street sign off Big Bear Blvd which made me miss it the first time, but then I just used the elementary school as a landmark for where to turn and it was fine.

Brand new, meticulously designed, homey and comfortable yet polished and appliances and bathroom products are very good quality. Staff are friendly and responsive.

It’s not the most convenient for those who’d like to cook a simple breakfast at the property as there is no stove or cooking utensils except for the grill which is very nice and brand new.

It was super cute and stylish- every single item was curated just for our cabin! It felt special. In addition, the A/C cooled well, the pillows were cozy on the bed, there was coffee for our stay, and all the soap/lotion provided smelled good!

Absolutely nothing!
