Daintree River Lodge was very fun ! So we did this stop last minute just because of the location. We were not expecting a 5 star resort but what they offered was just fine. The owner of the property carried my bags and gave us travel advise about the Caleb Track. Told me to call if I got stuck crossing river. Awesome Guy. They also helped us book a crocodile cruise as well. you can walk from your room to the dock. The Pub across the street was spectacular. Had one of the best meals in Australia there. Friday night is happening.

Rooms are a bit dated however this is a remote out post.

This is a truly lovely and unique spot in the lovely little village of Daintree. Our comfortable room overlooked the Daintree river so we had front row seats for bird watching and views to the lovely scenery. The outdoor shared kitchen with table to dine overlooking the river is an added bonus. Michael the host is super friendly and keen to share ideas to view wildlife etc. Incredible seeing all those flying foxes on the tree by the property. This was a very special place we will not forget.

The location on the river with views to the mountains were wonderful. Quiet and restful. Plenty of room to sit and read, or do a puzzle, or just watch the day go by. We could see the crocodile on the far riverbank with our small binoculars. Access to great food at the pub across the road, and breakfast at the cafe were both very convenient. Only 10 minutes to the ferry across the Daintree for our day trip to Cape Tribulation. Our room was clean and comfortable, good shower.

This accommodation is in the perfect location for Daintree River trips as the boat ramp is just a couple of hundred yards away. There is a seating area outside the rooms with a table and chairs and also a shared kitchen. The hotel and cafe are only a minute walk away. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Plenty parking is available at the rear of the accommodation.

This accommodation is relatively basic and for those who require wifi there is none at this accommodation. We were happy with our stay as we were aware the accommodation was more basic and had no wifi but it was perfectly adequate for our needs. We stayed here for the location which is excellent.

Great location lovely spot can sit in verandah and lookout at river. Room is very cozy lovely bed and furnishings. Also can make coffee and food in the adjoining kitchen and sit on lounge. Great host as well.

Having to park car up top and you can hear people who can be loud up above where you can stay in vans. Maybe just only let people park cars there and not stay there.

This is my third stay at the lodges mostly due to it's amazing location. located on the Daintree River bank you just have to walk down the ramp to access any of the many river cruises. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my air conditioner and they were straight onto it. Having many dietary needs which aren't catered for at the restaurant across the road I am so grateful for the access to an outdoor kitchen on the balcony which is very well equipped. Great place to cook up a meal and sit and enjoy the view. My top choice for accommodation when I'm in the area.

Beautiful riverview from huge terrace. Friendly knowledgeable host told us about wildlife and crocodiles and gave us torch and binocle to spot crocodiles and fish with torch from balcony. And we headed our morning tour on the boat from the bank of the river near the lodge. Interesting antique historic photos and horse harness on the walls.

Loved sitting out on the wide verandah overlooking the river. Room was a good size, comfortable and felt fresh and clean linen. I liked that there was a kitchenette out on the verandah for guests to make a cuppa or use the microwave. Pub and cafe just across the road serving great food. The owner was friendly, and very accommodating when the airline kept changing our flights and we had to alter our itinerary.

There was nothing I didn't like.

It was beautiful and in a beautiful location. Coffee shop and pub directly across the street, gorgeous river views. Better than the pictures. The owners were so friendly and nice. Helped my daughter find the birds and frog she was hoping to see. Wish we stayed longer.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect

Absolutely loved this place. Tonya the host was super. She was a mine of information. We enjoyed eating with other guests on the expansive balcony. Just across the road was an awesome village pub that served incredible food. The birdlife at the Daintree Village is fabulous. Its not too far from the car ferry to Cape Tribulation and about 30 minutes from the famous Mossman Gorge. Thats a must visit.

Leaving, would have liked another week at least. But we were time, poor
