Pool Table, Bar, Free Parking, New Carpet, New Shower, clean rooms, working heaters, and the staffs super friendly. The night shift manager was tremendous help; my wife is pregnant and was very tired and the night manager gave us a perfect midnight check in. You get more than what you pay for here; who doesn’t love a respectable price.

Great location for going to Edgbaston and also easy to get into Birmingham city centre. Twin room was spacious for the two of us and the beds very comfy.
Shame there wasn't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Nice clean, good size room.
Didnt like having to leave a cash deposit and not being able to pay that by card. Had to walk up to local cashpoint to get that, really inconvenient.

The reception by the manager was very warm and kind. The place was spotless clean from the entrance smelling fresh and nice. The linen were so clean and fresh without any trace of dust even on the television well organised. No noise. I just loved the cleanliness and the warmth reception. Jackie, the manager, was good and very welcoming. I was so tired and woke up feeling refreshed. I have hay-fever and very sensitive to dust and carpeted rooms, but at Cottridge Inn it was smart
Am not sure whether we used the back door or front door. I just didn't like following the signs to reception

In general, our stay was good, the staff were really friendly and they helped us have our bikes stored in the place as our stay there was due to some house repairs (we live locally). The room was clean and while it is on top of a pub was not particularly noisy.
The only thing that could be improved I think has to do with the smell of the room or the toilet(we were unclear of where the smell was coming from). The room was really clean but there was just this weird smell...after a while we got used to, but could be something to be improved if you find the cause.

The Cotteridge Inn was 100% value for money. It's basic, but you get what you pay for. The lack of tea/coffee facilities in your room is made up of the fact that you can request one for free at the bar just downstairs. The beds were comfortable, the shower was really powerful, and the room was a fair size for 3 of us. There is plenty of space for bags and to hang clothes. We slept well, with no noise from other rooms or outside, which we thought there might have been. We spent the evening we arrived in the bar playing pool and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was OK, parts of it were a little overdone for my personal taste, but still lovely and the sausage was very yummy! As much tea/coffee as you wanted. You can't go wrong for the price you pay. Great value for money, we would definitely book here again and recommend to friends/family for a cheap but great base near Birmingham.
The room could have done with a little bit of TLC. There was a few paint scuffs on the walls. Small holes where drill bits have fallen out but nothing major. The back of the toilet was clearly missed when being cleaned, but it was possibly just an accident as the rest of the bathroom was neat and tidy. We arrived at 8pm and there was no parking which was tricky for getting bags in etc but within the hour we managed to move the car to the car park. I guess you need to arrive earlier to get a space.

Very comfortable - I had an excellent nights sleep. Staff were friendly. Very clean all at a low cost. The only reason why I didn’t rate value for money excellent is I only slept there as was late and had to get going in the morning! But that’s not your fault! Thank you so much I will remember you for if I need to stay in the area as others are much more expensive!
I suppose could have done with a quiet bit for checking in rather than go into the main bar but only minor as everyone was really friendly and made it work.

The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The noise from the bar was not so bad, like I read in previous commentaries. The location is good enough - 25 min. to the City Center (New street) with West Midlands Railway (From Kings Norton station) or 40 min by bus (45 or 47). It's on the walking distance from Cadbury world (around 1,5 km) and also have direct conection to Villa Park (from Kings Norton to Aston station) if You are a football fan.
There's no hangers in the bathroom, also there's no glasses. One of the rooms was too tiny.

The staff were pleasant, super friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were both noticeably clean and very presentable. The shower was hot and powerful. The towels were soft and gleaming white. Our booking was 'very last minute' and check-in time really late so we ended up in a loft room. We didn't feel particularly cramped, there was enough space to manoeuvre. The double bed was cosy and the pillars comfortable. We parked on-site which was really handy & free of charge. If you're looking for basic clean and comfortable accommodation this is it.
If there are any improvements that could possibly be made, given what we paid to stay, it would be to have tea/coffee making facilities. This shouldn't be taken as a negative but more of a 'genuine' customer recommendation.
