The bed was super soft and the shower is really great! I was upgraded for free because I came in with crutches and they felt bad for me (there is no elevator and the stairs are steep). But I wanted to take home the blanket and the pillows because they were so good.

The window is thin and therefore it was a little cold in the room, the heater fixed that though! My shower door was broken so I made the entire bathroom wet, but that's also okay.

The room was quite clean and cosy. It had a space heater already, which was much appreciated, since it made it easy for me to keep the place warm, especially at the times when I needed it most. The staff were responsive and helpful.

The toilet had very weak flush, which made using it awkward -- I had to use buckets in the end to overcome the pressure deficit. It's easily verified by just dropping a couple small balls of tissue inside, and not even several tries with the flush button would get rid of the tissue. If this is fixed, the room would be perfect for that price.

The property was ideally situated for my needs,I was up in Birmingham to watch the cricket at edgbaston ,so a nice walk to and fro from the ground,the actual pub was very nice to enjoy a pint in the evening & the free breakfast was very nice and plenty of it.

To be fair room 1,was a lot smaller then I imagined,there was a bed and bathroom which was fine,but there was absolutely no drawers or wardrobe to put your clothes in ,it was on the floor .I would use this accommodation again but it would to be in a bigger room.

THE STAFF. Friendly, helpful, informative. Great guys, no doubt the impression was: “a bunch of friends”, rather than “co-workers”. We came just for one night, enjoying an amazing guitarist’s concert on the day of arrival. For just one night, “sleep, shower, breakfast and on you go” kind of staying, this place is enough.

Windows in the room. We could open only one, the one by the head of the bed. The room was more than warm, rather small (standard double), so we left a bit opened. One of us had to sleep with the risk of being exposed to cold air. Recommend either made the other window openable, or relocate bed.

Location is perfect, close to the centre in a quite district. Room is pretty clean and the bed is wonderfull. The Indian restaurant in the building is reall tasty. Breakfast is simple but nice.

Small room, it missed a table and some piece of furnito where to put my stuff. The windows was old and if the room is on the road side, it could be a bit noise in the night. Room temperature is pretty high and the windows does not stand open...I had to put my bin in the middle.

I booked The Wellington Hotel for a friend, and she had a fantastic stay! Although the room was small, it was ideal for one person — cosy, clean, and thoughtfully arranged with all the essentials. She particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the modern bathroom with high-quality toiletries. She couldn’t stop praising the location, as it was in the heart of Birmingham with almost everything within walking distance. Whether it was restaurants, shops, or local attractions, the convenience made her trip so much easier. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and perfect for relaxing after a busy day. She also mentioned how friendly and attentive the staff were, always ready to help and make her feel welcome. It was great to know she had such a positive experience, and I’ll definitely consider booking this hotel again for future trips!

One thing she did mention was that the room could get a little too hot at times, but this was easily fixed by opening the window. Of course, this would depend on individual preferences, but with the current weather, she found that a little warmth was much more comfortable than being too cold!

A good room, not so expensive, in the heart of the city and close to many pubs and restaurants. Staff was very considerate. Breakfast offered some variety of food, good enough for the price. Nice shower in the bathroom.

Room was very small, enough for sleeping, but one could do with a little more of space. Breakfast was served for a short time and the guest cannot order it later - which is a shame, I almost lost it. For the amount I paid, I expected a litter more comfort on these points.

Continental style breakfast was perfectly fine. The staff were helpful and welcoming

My only slightly negative comment would be that my room was on the small side but was clean and tidy throughout and was fine fir one night stay

good location, good breakfast, good facilities, excellent staff, generally very positive.

I appreciate that I stayed in the middle of summer, but it was just too hot. The window in my room only opened by about 2 inches, and there was a very hot towel rail in the bathroom which I couldn't turn off that was contributing to the problem. I would suggest that the owners adjust for window and stop running their central heating in the middle of summer!

Ideal location for us as we were attending the O2 Academy which is across the road. Close to the Chinese quarter and to the train station. Slept really well as the bed was comfy. The drinks in the pub were reasonable and the staff very helpful and friendly. Needs some updating here and there but the rooms are clean and fairly well appointed.

The bathroom was small and was a bit awkward moving in and out of the shower. No wardrobe or anywhere to hang your clothes. The hotel stairs are steep so not suitable if you're not good on your legs.
