How modern it was, the lounge bar setting is simply breathtaking. The ambience of the green and purple lights are so relaxing. The little terrace balcony was a great for outdoor seating. The staff are so friendly. The lovely girl on reception took time to chat away to us last night sorry I didn’t catch your name but she is a credit to the hotel as well as the male member of staff on reception, he was very helpful. Nothing was a problem to the staff especially with getting us drinks of water as it was so so warm. We will definitely be back again for a further visit.

The air conditioning needs upgraded in the bedrooms as it’s so so hot 24/7, but I am aware the bedrooms are being upgraded so hopefully this will be considered into the new revamp. Also 2 pillows per person would be a nice extra. But that’s me just being particular.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to everything I needed, and it was very convenient for getting around. The gentleman on reception was welcoming, polite, and extremely helpful, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. My room was spotless, cosy, and well presented, with a spacious bathroom and a powerful shower that was a real highlight after a long day. Breakfast was very good, with easy booking on the day and plenty of seating available. The only downside was some noise from ongoing renovations, but this is only temporary, not the fault of the hotel, and it would not put me off staying again. Overall, it was excellent value, I felt very well looked after, and I have already recommended the hotel to my family and friends. 🧡

When I first visited the hotel I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming member of staff. Very helpful in organising a taxi for us to attend the cricket at Edgbaston. When returning to the hotel after the match we decided to have a drink at the bar and enquired about whether food was being served. We were advised food was being served on the 1st floor so proceeded to visit first floor to which we were pleasantly surprised to see the seating area . Very comfortable and again staff were very accommodating so decided to eat and the food was very good. Did not have a breakfast but would definitely return and include a breakfast

Everything was clean and comfortable, the shower was amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the infused water - especially the watermelon, lemon and mint in the lobby where we’d both get a glass of it every time we went past. The location was great, easy to walk to several parts of the city which was also great to save money too! Easy walk to Chinatown for some amazing food, the sea life centre was very close and perfect for a day out and there’s plenty of nightlife if that’s your thing! Absolutely loved it here and would happily stay again.

My only complaint is how incredibly warm it is, especially on the top floor where all the heat is rising. The air conditioning doesn’t really do much for the temperature and once you close the curtains it doesn’t matter if you have the window open since it blocked out all the air flow so it ends up being horribly humid as well. This is probably fine during colder months but I think proper air conditioning would be a huge help during the warmer weather.

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the 24 hour front desk was appreciated (I was visiting Birmingham for a concert that finished at 3 am). When I closed the window it pretty much cut out outside sounds of traffic etc.

The shower gel in the container had finished (I tested it against the shampoo and conditioner, which worked perfectly well from an identical container). The extractor fan wouldn’t switch off, even in the many hours between my dropping off my bag and return in the wee hours). And yes, I had switched off the bathroom light! Still I managed to nod off immediately, being so tired.

We didn’t expect to find such a great hotel available for booking in the middle of the night — and even more surprisingly, there was a staff member who kindly helped us check in. We’re truly grateful for their help. The location is amazing, just a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station. The room was spotlessly clean, with modern facilities. After a long day of travel, there’s nothing better than a hot shower and a clean, cozy bed — it was exactly what we needed. The area is quiet and peaceful, which made it perfect for resting.

The only downside was that the air conditioning was a little bit noisy, but everything else more than made up for it.

Nice room on 7th floor - only downside was that the card key failed on my return from breakfast - was renewed, plus a numeric code by staff on ground floor reception... failed again, as did numeric, as I think something had failed in the lock, and finally reception staff got a manager with a passkey to allow me back into my room before I could depart. Staff were apologetic and helpful. Breakfast was fine, limited but nothing to complain about, and generally the hotel was a better standard than I had expected as I had never heard of B&B Hotels.

Nothing to dislike (apart from slight inconvenience re key card, but that could happen anywhere).

The room is so neat and beautiful. And the view from our room was really nice! Plus the WiFi helps a lot in case one has a poor network. I loved the bar and the chilling space upstairs So pretty and comfortable! And aesthetic. The staff doesn’t bother you. They help you with what you need and that’s it.

Oh I don’t know if we simply didn’t know how to but we wanted to connect to apps like YouTube and Netflix on the tv but we could only access the channels. If it is a smart tv then it’d help if we had a guide to navigate it. If it isn’t, then that would be a great addition to the place.

Positioned ideally for where I needed to go the next day. Check in and out was very quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and greeted me with a smile. The decor was pleasant, the view from the room was decent too. the coffee facilities, and places to sit when not in bed, were a nice touch.

There wasn't a way to turn every light off with the key card still inserted - the bed lights were controlled by the card which made it very confusing. The toilet sometimes would continually flush. Should provide oat or soya milk cartons with the tea and coffee for non dairy inclusion. Not everyone can have dairy but still enjoy milk in tea/coffee.

I thought it was excellent and good value for money. Very friendly staff.

All I would say is I had used my towels and there was no fresh towels for next day. Having asked I was told I had to let staff know in the morning that I would like my room cleaned and towels etc. I was not told but that was not a big deal. So long as staff let you know when you arrive that you need to let them know you would like room cleaned each day then it will he fine.
