I was attending meeting at the BCEC and this hotel is in an excellent position right next door. There's also an NCP car park next to the BCEC too if you are driving, so all in all the location was ideal. The Bullring and shops are just a 5 minute walk from the hotel too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was very good (gluten free cereal etc. available at breakfast). Bed was very comfortable and the shower was particularly powerful.

I was given a room on the "S" floor. This seems to be a slightly cramped level between ground and the first /upper floor. My only view was of air conditioning units and the odd pigeon, which was a little disappointing (the view, not the pigeon). If you want a decent view ask for a high floor when you check in.

Hotel was located in the centre of Birmingham. Room was modern with all amenities. Decor was fresh and modern. Barhroom was modern with double head shower Toiletries were lovely. Concession on parking at the nearby ncp car park. 13.95 a day for parking. Staff were very helpful. Only downside was there's beggars in the city next to Chinatown they were polite and I never felt intimidated. Was on a 2 day stay . Bullring shopping centre and train station is literally on your doorstep. Laura was very helpful on front desk as was all the staff Would recommend staying here .

Could do with more storage.

The hotel was lovely, it had everything we could need. We arrived earlier than our check in time as we wanted to have a wander around Birmingham, however when I went to the front desk to sort out payment, the lovely lady informed me that our room was ready. She said that they do usually charge for the early check in, but would wave it for us, which we really appreciated. The room was bigger than a standard hotel room, a big king sized bed, a large sofa bed (that my little one took to straight away). The bathroom was huge and actually had a bath which was a huge plus. The food was exceptional, and we had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel as it just made things easier for us. Everyone we spoke to was just lovely. I honestly can't fault the staff, they were exceptional.

Absolutely fantastic. Came here for a few days in between flying. And the hotel was Absolutely brilliant. Very happy. Staff were very friendly and made me feel so welcome. My room was spacious/spotlessand comfortable. Was a great price last minute for so central. So convenient for shopping and a short walk to new street station. Huge bar and restaurant with plenty of charging points and looked great downstairs. One of the best holiday inns i think ive ever stayed in! Everything was brilliant and will 100% stay here again when in Birmingham. Thank you all :)

The room was nice with comfy beds. There was lots of extras such as water in the fridge and robes in the wardrobe. The breakfast was so good, so much choice and great quality. It was very close to the train station and shops. Really powerful shower. Overall very good and would go back.

The pinned question on booking.com gives wrong information about where to park which was really unhelpful. Staff at the hotel helped once we arrived though. The TV was not positioned well in the room in relation to the beds. The scrambled egg was really cold at breakfast. All just small things that could be improved, but would not stop us revisiting!

We didn't have breakfast but the location was perfect for New Street station and all the things we wanted to do in Birmingham and the room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

We had booked a twin room but were allocated a double, which meant we had to wait for someone to come up from reception to take us to the correct room. Both our room keys didn't work the second day and not everything was topped up on the refreshment tray that day. We didn't expect it to be very quiet at night given that we had chosen to stay right in the centre of the city but our room was very close to the lift which made it extra noisy until about 2.00 in the morning.

I always love the warm and welcoming atmosphere whenever I stay here. From when Kareena and the reception manager helped me check in to when I checked out, the customer service was outstanding. Every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure everything is just right and the room was great, clean and welcoming. A special shoutout to Geoff, and Ashley from the bar and restaurant—they were incredible! The Chicken lollipops were absolutely delicious and improved the whole experience. I also appreciate the convenience of USB connections at the switched socket outlets in the bedroom. Can't wait to come back

I always love the cosy and inviting vibe whenever I stay here! From the moment Kareena helped me check in to when I checked out, the customer service was excellent. Every team member really goes the extra mile to make sure everything feels perfect. I want to give a big shoutout to Shesh, Ashley, and Patrycja from the bar and restaurant—they were fantastic! The Room and food - an evening meal of Chicken Schnitzel and breakfast - were super delicious and really made my stay even better. I also loved having the convenience of USB connections at the switched socket outlets. I can’t wait to come back!

Staff were very friendly and helpful on check-in and out. A large, comfortable room which was very clean and looked recently refurbished. Tea and coffee facilities, a safe, iron and refrigerator were all in the room. Lots of well-placed sockets and USB sockets for charging devices. Very important! A full-length mirror for getting ready, which was just about close enough to the socket for using the hairdryer - also very important - although there was also a second smaller mirror which was closer. I prefer not to have a drench shower as I don't like them when I'm not washing my hair, as they always seem to drip even if using the alternative shower head, so I was pleased there was not one in the bathroom. There were two shower heads - a high and low detachable one for rinsing the bath - as well as the bath taps. I was also delighted that the body wash, shampoo and conditioner were all separate - and not a 'one size fits all' product, and they were actually all different with lovely fragrances. Have focused a lot on the practicalities and layout of the room, but when using a hotel as a base to get ready for going out, it is important to me that a room provides the same ease of getting ready as in my own bedroom, and this one did.

The aircon in the room didn't work and so the first night the room got rather warm. The second night I discovered the windows weren't fixed panels, as I'd thought, so opened one and had to put up with the street noise but at least the temperature was more comfortable. I did report it to Reception after the first night and they said they'd send someone to look at it, but either they didn't or they couldn't fix it in time.
