Great location with easy access in and out of the property. The extra space offered over a hotel room made a huge difference for a 3 night stay and made it feel like a home from home

There were a couple of issues that we didn't feel warranted making a phone call to a Duty Manager off site but which could have been resolved if staff had been available on site. Namely the in room safe not working and wanting an extra couple of towels. It seemed odd that reception wasn't staffed at the weekend which, presumably, is one of the busiest times of the week. The apartment was comfy and spacious but a little worn and rough round the edges.

great location.. quick and easy access.. there isn't any staff on reception on the weekend but everything was easy and we had no problems getting in.. the apartment was on the top floor and the balcony view was simply gorgeous especially in the morning with the sun shining. Nice and spacious.. we had a party of 4 and we were very comfortable.. very clean and had all the facilities we needed

there was a nail sticking out of the bed frame that kept catching and scratching my leg. Also I wish I knew that staying in the mailbox carpark for 24hr is the same price if you stay shorter of £24 but because I booked a shorter time I had to pay extra even though I had already paid the 24hr rate.. so advice just pay 24hours and get the good discount code that the apartment provides. other than that the parking was very easy as you can come and go as many times as you want.

I had to travel very short-notice and all of the hotels in the area where extremely overpriced. This let me to Booking.com and finding The Spires for a fraction of the price. After thoroughly reading through the reviews, I decided to book and I am VERY satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this property to others! I arrived extremely late in the evening and the check-in process was extremely detailed and very easy to follow. The manager, Timothy, has been amazing and has been very helpful, pleasant, and quick in his responses whenever I have needed to reach out. I typically do not venture far outside of my comfort zone when it comes to overnight accommodations, and I usually only stay at familiar hotels, but I'm really glad that I found this place and took a chance. It is a in a great area, super close to anything you would want/need to experience in Birmingham. TL;DR: my partner and I really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

We were kindly upgraded for free (we didn't ask to be - I assume there was a business reason our original room wasn't available). Easy to check in. Easy to find. Clear instructions. Perfect location for our trip. Place was clean and had all the basics you need for a stay including provisions for hot drinks, toiletries and towels and bedding.

The sound proofing between apartments is not good. Our neighbours came back around 1:30am and we could hear every conversation.Thankfully they quickly seemed to go off to bed, but had they been a group that wanted to carry on their night we would have been kept awake longer. Appreciate there may be little that can be done, but it did impact how comfortable we were. It was, however, our only frustration

Convenient location, close too train station & Utilita arena which is what we wanted. Great little apartment with everything you need, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, ironing board, cooker etc etc!! Didn't get to see staff on check-in as it was late, but briefly asked how our stay was on leaving, & seemed very pleasant. Also prior to arriving, I received an email asking me if I would prefer 2 single beds rather than a double, as I had booked for myself & my 16 year old son, which I thought was very thoughtful of Thomas. Overall, Everything you need, better than a hotel, & cheaper! Will definitely use again in the future.

Nothing. A few minors flaws, like 1 of the bedroom curtains had hooks missing so didn't pull across easily, & a few wobbly floor tiles in bathroom, but really not a big issue for us at all as we were only there for 1 night.

The communication and instructions have been fantastic and welcoming. The apartment (146) is a great space. Bed is comfortable. Lounge with TV & kitchenette and Toilet downstairs and upstairs comfortable bedroom with bathroom over bath shower. Really comfortable stay. The location is great.

I had to stand on a chair to reach the cups in the top cupboard And the sensor light on landing is great though it turns on every time you move your feet! And maybe a TV upstairs would work well.. But those are only little things! And we'd come back here!

Excellent value. Clean and good-sized accommodation with an easy system for arrival and check-out. The location is excellent, being close to nearby bars, restaurants, shops, parking and the O2 Academy which we visited for a gig. The staff member we met upon arrival was pleasant and helpful, providing good communication.

External fully glazed door at high-level (4th floor) won't close fully. There is a 1cm gap when closed. There is a guard rail in front of the glazed door to prevent a fall. Dinning chairs are very uncomfortable, the timber frame could be felt on all dinning chairs. The instructions for nearby discounted parking could be made more clear. I arrived and parked my car in the recommended discounted car park, but was not aware I needed to have downloaded and registered with the app first. Due to this, we were unable to access the discounted price. These are generally minor issues - we would happily stay again as the accommodation was of good quality overall and value for money.

Great location, near the Mailbox, very easy to walk to key locations in the centre of Birmingham. Loads of food options nearby, and a Tesco Express a few minutes away. Apartment was spacious, bathroom was huge, well equipped apartment. Shower was good and plenty of hot water. We were able to drop off our bags early that morning.

Cleanliness of common areas, carpets could do with cleaning. Patio door in lounge didn't shut perfectly, so there was a little gap which let in cold air.

Brilliant location, right opposite the Mailbox where we had dinner and a few drinks. Brilliant view from the lounge as it was a corner apartment, nice, bright and airy lounge. Beds were comfy and clean, bathroom was clean. Really good overall, we would come back again.

The sofa was a little old and dated with visible signs of the leather bits flaking off and the toilet lid of the main bathroom kept coming off so we used the en-suite one, but overall it was clean and comfy.

I absolutely loved my stay there. I had such a relaxing bath. I spent over an hour in it. The water was so nice and hot! The apartment was clean and comfortable. I'm looking forward to staying there again!

It would have been nice to been greeted by a staff member. Although, I'm aware places like these there is usually door codes, and self-check in. Also, I was unable to empty the bin as I wouldn't have been able to get back into the main building. I would have locked myself out, as I wasn't given a fob for entry in and out of the court yard. So the cleaner bless her, took my rubbish from me, when I left.
