The owner is really kind and his English is good so he was able to help us with our bus times and he kindly dropped us at the bus station and made sure we got on the right bus. The room was large and the bed comfortable. It was clean and has a balcony. There was always hot water and a shop attached to the hotel to grab a drink etc.

There were quite a lot of mosquitos in the room when we arrived - most hotels supply mosquito repellent plug ins which would be a good addition here. They kindly gave us insect repellent for our bodies and we had no bites. The room can get a bit cold but it is fine.

Owner Roney George is very helpful. He arranged us vehicles for sight seeing and travel to our next destination Alleppey at rates much cheaper than normal market rates. Good Taxi and Auto Rickshaw with responsible drivers. Small room, but neat and clean. Bedsheets, pillow covers etc clean. Toilet clean. Very close to city. Walkable distance to city centre.

Cons: Hot water wasn't coming till we emptied two and a half bucket of cold water. Takes lot of time. Rooms in different stairs. No elevator. But staff helped us with luggage. We are fit enough and have no problems with climbing stairs. No food available at hotel. But good restaurants of all types are very close. Not an issue really. I am giving rating of 8 only because of hot water issue. Otherwise I would have given 10 at this cheap rate but worth it.

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommend! I had an amazing stay. ! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. For Food you have to go outside and search for good hotels. We went for saravana bhavan which is pure veg and gurubhavan which is veg and non veg both. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions yet quiet enough for relaxation. Overall a great experience. I truly appreciated the little touches that made my visit special. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a calm and hassle-free stay. Can’t wait to return!

The rooms look like at the photos (Ronny - the host has shared true photos at Booking - the view was not fake like in the other hotels we have booked in India). Ronny with his family (wife, children, mum) are very kind, nice people who want to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The family runs also a shop with spices, soft drinks, and sweets - it's very practical, you don't carry drinks far away. You have the feeling you are a special guest for them, although no one is overhelming. Arranging the transport without commission; giving recommendation and discounts on spa services and theatre; organizing 25 gift packages with tea which had to be prepared from bigger packages - no problem ! Hot water and clean rooms - it was the best place we have visited in India. If you think it's not possible to find a very good place for a normal price, you have not stayed at Landy Queen yet ! We truly recommend that place.

Looks unassuming from outside but one of the cleanest and well kept places we have stayed in 4 weeks in India. Facilities and view from balcony was brilliant. Owner and family were so helpful and lovely, gave us plenty of recommendations for places to hike and also gave us 20% off massage. Our hot water stopped working and owner son came straight to fix it and was so sweet. It was my birthday while we were there and they even gave me chocolate from their shop as a present. Honestly one of the best places we have stayed in India, great location in Munnar as well as it is not right in the centre where it is noisy, but is still walking distance from everything. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

The property exceeded our expectations and the staff here are some the kindest we’ve come across. The owner was really helpful and provided us with local information and helped us to organise tours. He even dropped us to the bus when leaving. This help was invaluable. The room was spacious and comfortable and very clean. A haven after a busy exploring Munnar. If you are basing yourself in Munnar Town, this location is perfect, very central but still quiet and peaceful. This is probably one of our favourite places we’ve stayed in during our travels!

The owner and his family are kind. I would suggest to get a room with a balcony. It is fairly quiet but bring earplugs in India anyway.

I don’t like the fact that guests can not open the front door once it is close at night at a certain hour until the morning. In the night, it is fully locked. Absolutely great room. Certainly cleanest and best / most modern hotel and room I have stayed in for mid 2500 Rs. Cannot recommend Landy Queen enough. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Boss man (apologies cannot recall name) was a star. Chilled a beer or two 😊 for me for when returning from day trip (bottle shop doesn’t sell cold beer and nobody should need drink room temp / warm beer). Boss also got up at 4am to let me get up mountain for sunrise at Kolukkamalai. Star man. Great hotel with great staff, led by a great boss. Best hotel stayed at in India. Many thanks Boss and staff. It makes a difference.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the kettle in the room. We used the restaurants close by that Roni recommended and they were good. Roni was super helpful to us, with organising a day trip and our onward travel, even getting up at 5:30 to take us to the bus station, and making sure we were on the right bus. Many thanks Roni ! We made it to Coonoor with no problems, thanks to you.
