Beautiful hotel and our room was stunning. Very spacious and clean. Lovely bathroom too with a sunken bath. The breakfast was plentiful and the setting (in the stables) is just lovely.

The hotel is used for weddings and events and is a wonderful setting. However, some small room details let it down. There was no full length mirror in the room - could not see how my outfit looked. There was also no plug socket near the only, and very high up, mirror in the room. I ended up using a socket the other side of the room and standing on a suitcase so I could see to dry my hair (I’m 5ft 7ins so anyone shorter would really have struggled).

Room 1 was very, clean spacious and well equipped, access to outside balcony was a big bonus and on a good summers day would have been superb. Parking was good and generally we were pleasantly surprised at how good the room was, just a pity some small deficiencies prevented it being a 5 star experience.

Whilst hotel very generous with tea and coffee making consumables, some biscuits would have been very welcome. The en-suite was superb, however the shower base was very slippery and would have benefited from nonslip strips or a non slip mat as quite hazardous especially to older people like ourselves. No soap or hand wash available in en-suite which was surprising.

I liked the converted stables and the fact that we were in nice, large rooms on ground floor with access to the lovely garden and close to bar/restaurant. I have mobility issues and this was a godsend for me. The older style furnishings were in keeping with the style of the hotel and the beds were very comfy. The staff both at reception and in the restaurant provided excellent customer service. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a nice ambience. We (4 guests) had been on a spa day and it was a lovely end to our day and relaxed start to our morning. We will stay again and recommend to others.

Only because of my mobility issues I would have preferred a walk in shower - but I hadn’t mentioned the issues when booking - so it’s not a criticism as the hotel was lovely.

Great Location about 20 min stroll into the town centre Even had an amazing pizza oven outside making fresh pizzas Great water feature on the walk to the restaurant Superb value for money Amazing jacuzzi bath

The Food was so good could have had bigger portions (not really a didn't like) We had half board so dinner and breakfast you offer a 3 course but sadly only offer choice of either starter or desert with food that good would rather pay more up front and have both

The rooms are spacious and warm, lovely location and grounds. Beauitiful gardens just outside the back door, really nice feature. Definitely great value for money and . I would definitely stay again. The shower and massive bath were perfect.

The rooms were a little outdated. It wouldn't have been so bad if they armchairs were clean, and that's what let it down. Not being able to sit in them. Filthy arms on the bedroom chairs, they need a deep clean or replacing. Also, there is no mirror in the room to do hair and makeup. Small issues that could be easily resolved to allow the stay to be more comfortable and convenient. Front entrance rug, deep clean or replace to make the arrival more appealing.

My Fiancee and I love staying here for work. We are now regulars and I never thought I'd say that about a hotel! It is perfect place to stay and has such a relaxed atmosphere. Flora the young girl who works here is amazing. Her personality shines , she is so personable, helpful and incredibly hard working. She is a real credit to the hotel. The grounds at the hotel are beautiful and the rooms genuinely spacious. We have stayed in a few different rooms now and they have everything you could want. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We will be back soon.

I think some of the rooms could do with a bit of TLC.

Not sure of the gentleman's name on reception on arrival but extremely polite and helpful. The room itself was clean with excellent facilities (other than the bed unfortunately which Ill highlight below). I didnt arrive until late into the evening (past 9pm) and given the low number of quests, it was understandable to close the bar early but manged to get a drink. Anyone arriving late can use Just Eat and get delivery from as far as Bracknell which is great. Breakfast was excellent no faults whatsoever. (poached eggs were spot on) There are a multitude of positives with this hotel, location, building, and surrounding gardens which are well kept. Ive stayed here several times and enjoyed my stay each time, and Im a little reluctant to say anything negative about such a nice hotel but need to point something out

My only sore point is this, which I explained on my departure this morning. Room 1 should not have two single beds made into a double if the mattresses are of different heights/depth. It made for one of the worse nights sleep Ive had in a while which is a shame given its one of the most important parts of the stay

The room was well appointed, very spacious and dog-friendly with access to the gardens. The bathroom was also well appointed and very spacious. Dinner was great, though the restaurant initially didn't seem to have any tables set aside for people staying at the hotel on a DB&B rate, which seems odd. Breakfast was also good.

The hotel seemed to have made no provision for the temperatures of the day. A floor fan in the room isn't great for a dog-friendly room. The blinds were open, the windows closed and the room really warm upon arrival. Some rooms have curtains, but ours had roller blinds fitted very close to the windows. This meant that lowering the blinds for shade cut off any ventilation benefit from having the windows open. The room therefore became stuffy overnight, and raising the blinds for ventilation meant early waking due to the light. A bit more forethought from the hotel would have meant that the blinds could have been down all day, keeping the room cooler for arrivals.

Upgraded to a suite, which suited us as my wife is a wheelchair user and the lounge, bedroom and bathroom were huge. Plenty of hot water for the shower and the spa bath. Ramps were in place for the front steps for the whole of our stay. Breakfast was varied and tasty at the Stable restaurant.

1st night the room was chilly, but when requested heating turned up, staff acted immediately. They also supplied an extra duvet. The only fault was the hotel is a little dated.

First check in, and the insist of taking pr-authorised £50. i think it would be more appropriate if any guest uses bar or restaurant the workers jut make them pay before they leave the area and its fair, but paying money or authorise money before use its not appreciated. Also first room checked in had no electricity at all i 've tried few things and there was no sign of any electricity. i had to go downstairs to the reception who looked to the switches and stated everything seems ok. i went back and it was not ok. she came upstairs to and found out herself all not working then changed my room which was a mazing room.
