There was a problem with air conditioning in the room we booked so we got another one, which was much bigger and had a terrace. It’s a resort located in a calm rural area outside of Hoi An center and has enough facilities if you just want to hang out (pool, bar, spa, activities). If you want to go to the center or beach, they provide a complimentary shuttle bus and bikes. Extremely kind and attentive staff, especially ladies in the reception and the manager. They really tried to anticipate our every need, shared advice and added a personal touch to the interactions. Really good breakfast and a very nice massage in the spa.

Such a great place!!! Our room was the boat on the little lake and it was so wonderful! It was too good, in fact, that we didn't want to leave to go explore Hoi An. The grounds of the property were charming, the pool was relaxing and never over crowded, the wifi was fast and extended throughout the entire place, and the breakfast was phenomenal! The food and drinks prices were also very reasonable, and above all the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I wish I could have stayed there forever.

If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs, as the windows are not double-glazed. But honestly, this is just a tiny detail in an otherwise perfect stay.

We are a french couple. We were staying in the Executive suite with 3 balconies with view on the lake, the river and the swimming pool. We had a delightful stay. We originally didn't plan to book such a big room but that was the only one available for 7 nights. No regret at all. We didn't really need the living room part of the room especially with a table and chairs..a soda would have been better. But the bed was soon comfortable and facing 2 balconies. One balcony had 2 armchairs and the other one a double bed to relax. We lived the fact we were on the first floor surrounded by trees for privacy and shade. Concerning the service I would say the room service isn't perfect but no issue whatsoever. The reception and bar/restaurant service is amazing. The spa too. Tina was incredibly helpful and sweet. Her English is very good. Diem also ! She enjoyed sharing cultural facts also. And Hung is a very nice young guy at the bar, very kind and patient. The pool is incredibly warm, clean and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was really good. We stayed one night at the Zen hotel before and despite the similar note on booking the Zest ranks higher ( amenities, buffet, spa and garden are better ) even if the service in Zen is very good also. Many shuttles to old town and An Bang beach which is a plus.

If I had to say something to help the hotel to increase the quality I would say the bathroom needs renovation,. And the living room style is a bit too old style for my taste, and not practical enough. A soda would have been better than table and chairs. And I would expect more storage ( real wardrobe) and better Tv. We used the chairs to put our clothes on..since a little wardrobe with only one shelve. Also, if you like to broadcast your phone on the TV the quality isn't the best, especially the sound. But the atmosphere of the room compensate for those flaws.

A most amazing 5 days in Hoi An staying in the fabulous Zest Hotel. The staff were amazing; attentive but not overbearing and were extremely kind and helpful, particularly Dung (thanks for tailor recommendation and room support) and Tina (thanks for the coconut boat and lantern advice and friendly smile) and Thai (thanks for being so friendly and happy). Great spa facilities too - I would highly recommend this. Zest has the magic and hospitality of local Vietnam with great facilities. Supper was great too and the shuttle bus into old town was brilliant. Using the hotel bikes to explore the area is a must.

There was quite a bit of noise from the Kitchen in our bedroom which was next door to the kitchen but the staff were very accommodating and we moved rooms to a much more peaceful bedroom.

Loved how it was out of the chaos. Super easy to get a taxi into town. Loved the pool and the calm surroundings.

If you are a childless adult I will warn that the pool area is small so if kids are around it’s usually loud. I think the breakfast could have been better. Every time we went to eat the hot food was cold (they would turn the food warmers off) and cold food was warm (been sat out too long). Didn’t feel super safe to eat a lot of the food as it felt like it had been sat out too long. Also the bottom sheets didn’t fit the bed so came off every night. Staff could have been a little more attentive and upbeat. But sitting behind the bar on their phones isn’t the best look.

The cabin on the boat was fantastic, a really fun experience. The air con worked very well so never felt too hot. The bathroom is very cool and semi-outdoors. The whole resort is amazing, feels jungley and all the staff were incredibly friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend you do the cooking class they do, we had a fantastic time! They take you to the market by bicycles to get some ingredients, and then back to the resort to fish in the lake followed by the cooking class with the head chef. The free shuttle bus into town and to the beach is great. Breakfast was fantastic, and we'll definitely be back one day!

Location in the rural, farming conmunity and fish farms amidst the riotous greenery and flower gardens of their rustic villas, about 5-7 km from both beach and Hoi An old town with the best frequent free minibus service to both.Well maintained bikes are also free to use to explore the local alleys and venture to beach and town if you brave the traffic. Everywhere in Vietnam, the staff are helpful and willing, but this was especially so at the Zest. Breakfast was also exceptional with an abundance of fresh fruit, salads, cooked rice, noodles, and western sausages, bacon, eggs 4 ways with breads and pastries and an abundance of coffee, tea, juices and water.

Whilst the rustic hand crafted furniture and quirky pond villas are remarkable and the mattresses comfortable, the solid, hand-adzed hardwood chairs and benches don't offer much upholstered or padded comfort when you need to just sit and chill. Photos of the pool are accurate but are perhaps suggestive of a much larger expansive area than the perfectly adequate moderate sized pool adjacent to the.thatched bar and pool table.outdoors area.

We LOVED our stay here! The staff was very lovely (especially Dung). They made sure we had the best experience. The pool is very lovely; there were enough chairs for everyone. The rooms were big, with nice terraces, an amazing shower, and a bathtub! We got a complimentary foot massage, which was also amazing! The breakfast is the best we had on our whole trip. I celebrated my 30th birthday here, and they decorated the room with balloons, a complimentary cake, etc. Free shuttle to Hoi An & the beach and back. Very good recommendations from the hotel itself.

This is an amazing hotel ...an oasis of calm compared to the bustle of Hoi An city. The staff were incredible - kind, caring and very attentive. We travelled with our three children and they were very accommodating to our children's needs. It is a safe place and one that you can truly unwind. The breakfast was fantastic. Delicious noodles, interesting Vietnamese snacks alongside the classic Western dishes. We did the cooking course and I'd highly recommend it. Having done cooking courses in Asia before and as someone who lives in Thailand, I can honestly say this was the best course I have done. It was authentic and you got to cook most delicious from scratch. The cycle to the market was lovely too. The course was suitable for our 9 year old as well as so many of the staff were on hand to help. Overall, this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in and we'll be back.
